“If you're craving dim sum, this place is definitely worth a try. The dim sum menu is solid, offering a decent variety of dishes that satisfy those midday cravings. The food quality is good overall, flavorful, and filling. However, when it comes to dinner time, the experience takes a bit of a dive. The dinner menu isn't particularly impressive, and the foods lack in flavor. I wouldn't recommend coming during dinner time.
The service, unfortunately, leaves a lot to be desired. The staff can be a bit inattentive and, at times, even rude.“

“This review is for hosting a WEDDING banquet at Happy Harbor in Rowland Heights.

I helped plan a wedding here. I have to say it was tough at first because they do not have a designated event coordinator. There was a lot of back and forth. What was really helpful was the main guy spoke English, Cantonese, and Mandarin!

Ultimately you need the wedding date and the number of guests. You choose the menu, napkin color, and table cloth color.
Extras: They had two microphones with stands and a small stage for the sweetheart table. The audio system only reached the main room. There was a big screen in the main room to play a slideshow. The backroom seemed to have their own audio and two screens. We could not figure out how to connect the two, so the guests in the back room had to come out to the main room to see/hear what was going on.
-The lobby is large. Good to set up welcome table.
-There is a small private room behind the fish tanks. This was where vendors took their breaks.

The wedding I helped plan had just under 280 guests, so they took up the main room (20 tables) as well as the back room (7 tables). Some tables had 11 seats but same amount of food. Because of the number of tables, there was no dance floor.

I heard compliments from many guests that the servers were efficient and helpful. They served wine properly.

Overall I would recommend Happy Harbor for a large event.

Side note:
Happy Harbor gave us a contact of a guy who did white seat covers with ribbons. That guy only had a two-person team and did not finish all 270 seats. In fact he stopped just under 20 tables and did not get any in the back room at all. He also set up with the spandex seat covers, which is not what the bride wanted.“

“They make authentic Guilin rice noodles here. So you order the noodles through the QR code and you can get the condiments to add to the bowl. We had the Golden Broth Beef Brisket Rice Noodles and Premium Signature Noodles. Added a fried egg and Secret Recipe Braised Tofu. Quick service and would return.“

“This is our first time eating at Top Island Seafood Restaurant. We ordered many dim sum appetizers. The restaurant wasn't busy and foods came out lighting fast. Everything was delicious and the hot appetizers were hot. It's always fun to share with a large group. They kept refilling our hot tea non stop. Great service and food. We will definitely return another day.“

“My five star rating is for the House Special Dragon Hair, also known as Dragon Whiskers, Dragon Beard, or Chayote Vines.

Served as a cold dish, it was fresh and crisp, definitely something you will crave again! I wish more restaurants served this vegetable entree!

As you can see below (I added photos for the entire Eat Joy Food menu) they have a massive menu of Taiwanese banquet style food options. So many items that it was a bit overwhelming but luckily we had a Taiwanese friend do the ordering for us.

As for ambiance, it’s average but the stinky tofu smell in the air was a bit tough to deal with. Pricing is a bit on the high end compared to Java Cafe (another Taiwanese spot nearby).“

“My son ordered from the big menu (not lunch special) to customized the taste to be a little bland with sauces on the sides. I am recovering from illness. William helped us a lot; what best dish to order and how it's cooked! He's very attentive to our order and did really great! He's very knowledgeable and worked with the cook to give us the best meal! “This place has really good food, the atmosphere is amazing, the customer service from the servers was amazing, however the bartender ( the bald one) was completely rude, went there this past Saturday and it was busy however that isn’t a reason to rude. Other than that everything else was awesome.“
