He’s great he’s reliable. “Echoes of the seafood shacks you find across PCH, specifically on the LA/Malibu stretch, Boil Daddy is an exciting eatery for many reasons. The shack itself is fun since a lot of the boil places nearby are sit-down restaurants. Also, the place is clean and all the decor seems well-maintained.

The food is quite amazing. I’ll admit, there are a lot of other cajun places that do it much better nearby. Still, no doubt this place is a winner. Prices are fair too. Highly recommend the Daddy’s Shrimp Bowl.“

“I'm someone that doesn't particularly like fish but Fish Daddy changed my mind. My friend got the fried catfish with fries and cole slaw and let me try them. Both were great!! I had the crispy fish tacos without pico as I figured that was a safe choice for me and they were delicious!! I have a friend that recently moved to the area and I immediately texted her to come to this place it was that good. Also saw loads of people coming in and picking up orders so that's always a great sign too. Super excited to come back!“

2025: We have been coming here for breakfast and lunch. The steamed buns are so addictive! I love everything I have tried so far.
Plenty of parking, napkins are stored in a drawer under table top. The Middle section Seatings are very nice.
Steamed buns, dumplings and noodles were so good. The cold chicken and soup were blend. Gnats often found hovering over the sauce station. Bathroom generally are clean.
Servers were doing their best but there’s room for improvement. On one occasion four servers were running around like chicken with no heads for less than 30 diners. I’ve seen more efficient servers elsewhere.
The pricy dinner menu is not enticing, the seafood is steamed together so some can be over or under cooked. I don’t see the price hyped up compared to steaming them at home at $68-$88 pp.
I’m leaving this long comments in the hopes that this restaurant can survive because the buns, dumplings are exceptionally good!!“

They've expanded the menu from the classic old style H- Salt fish and chips.... and this H. Salt Fish and Grill food has always been pretty good.

Such low prices for VERY high quality and savory foods. Their poki bowls are the best too. Hot warm rice mixed with fresh cold seafood goes perfect with any weather. Especially when it is so savory and refreshing. The prices are shocking for how high quality their food is. Regarding prices, this place has the best seafood out of every single seafood place I have tried in all of Orange and in general. The variety of food is good, the small place is cute, I love the decorations, they are welcoming and their lighting is pretty, it is cozy. The people are always so kind when taking your order. When there is no one, your food comes quickly, very fast for the amount of workers.“

“We love this place! We come every time we’re in California. I love Mariscos so this place is for me. Their agua chile is delicious, enough shrimp and octopus to fill you up! Not to mention to mention the avacado it is top tier as you can tell in the pictures. We also had the OC tostada it is very good there is no spice on this one which was perfect for our little one. They do have condiments; tapatillo, vanentino etc that you can add. The guy in the truck was super nice, even gave us some stickers. Parking lot is huge and free so plenty of parking.“

The quality was definitely better before, maybe a different cook? Not sure. They're still good but not as they used to be. Service is always good, the staff are friendly and attentive.
