This is the prototypical hole in the wall Taiwanese breakfast place. Food is great, service is not their focus, and the place is small and not terribly clean. Perfect for carry out!
First time here and will definitely be a return customer. The food is authentic and delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful. It does get busy so it could be tricky to find a table. So happy with our experience here
I first heard about Yi Mei in 2013. It has only gotten better. The negative reviews about service here to me are unfounded. The food is very good, authentic, and that is what is important.

Yi Mei Deli is a gem of a Chinese deli, known for its fluffy, flavorful buns and authentic bites. Fans of their salty rice roll and egg omelet keep coming back despite the increasing prices. The food, including sweet hot soy milk, scallion pancake, and fried radish cake, has remained consistently tasty over the years. The restaurant offers a wide variety of Taiwanese breakfast options, from Taiwanese tamales to cold soy milk. The salty rice roll is packed with a Chinese donut, pork sung, and pickled vegetables, satisfying cravings for a fan tuan. They also serve frozen bowl rice cakes and pork veggies buns to enjoy at home. While the service and atmosphere may leave something to be desired, with some describing it as having "angry vibes," those who can overlook these flaws will find a satisfying meal at this long-standing establishment. The line moves fast, and the prices are friendly, making it a great spot before a hike nearby. Note: There is a $1 charge for card payments under $30.
