“Southside Super was such a fun surprise. Tucked away but full of energy, this spot blends Korean and Vietnamese flavors into dishes that feel both authentic and creative. I started with their Korean fried chicken, and it was hands-down some of the best I’ve had in Sacramento - crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. Then I tried their pho, and the broth was rich, aromatic, and deeply comforting. It was clear that everything had been slow-cooked with care. What I loved most was the way Southside Super brought together bold, street-food-inspired flavors in a way that still felt elevated. The vibe of the restaurant was lively, with great music and a welcoming staff that made the whole experience even better. Our server was helpful in recommending dishes, and I’m so glad I listened because each plate came out better than the last. This is the type of restaurant that makes you want to come back with friends so you can order a bunch of things to share. The flavors were exciting, the portions generous, and the atmosphere made the whole night feel like a celebration.“

“Im from SF and can be a bit of a snob about whats good. OZ exceeded my expectations. Korean BBQ for meat lovers is a must try because there's nothing quite like it. Grilling at your own table is a very special touch. The food is FABULOUS. Not cheap, but definitely worth the price.“

“I've been to many kbbqs both around Sacramento and in K-town LA. This is by far the best kbbq place in Sacramento.
It has a very high level of traditional flavors and care for the ingredients. It's not your typical kbbq place that has strong flavors and marinades. JJs marinades accentuates the high quality meats they provide. Yes some of the unmarinated meats comes out frozen but that is how you cut meat consistently thin. Despite it being frozen you can tell they use quality meats because the brisket incredibly beefy and melts in your mouth. The thin pork belly incredible clean pork flavor. The marinated meats all came out fresh and unfrozen unlike most places in town. Their sides and cold noodles were fresh and the broth was clean and balanced between tangy, sweet and salty. Probably the best I've had so far.
Service was absolutely fine for us but it's definitely a no frill place.
Come here if you're a real foodie.“

“I was here with family during lunch time on weekends. We ordered spicy Korean style rice cakes, bone soup with dumpling and the combo with tofu soup and fish. They gave us a lot side dishes and all of them are very yummy and fresh. We did request to refill some side dishes one time. I like the rice cake and tofu soup. However, the soup with dumpling is not as expected. Overall, the foods are delicious, but a bit over priced.“

“By far the best KBBQ I've been to. This is my comparison to several in Sac like OZ, and in San Francisco. It is pricey but if you can eat, it's well worth it. Sides are the best here but careful not to eat too much of it haha. The Meat were of the best quality compared to the other places.“

We are hard working mom&dad and sometimes we don't have time to cook food for the kids and we come here and problem gets solved. It gets little pricey but now days everything is expensive.

“Stopped by here after climbing in Tahoe. Really hit the spot with the galbitang as it wasn't too heavy and it consisted of a savory yet delicate soup. They had a variety of banchan (side dishes) as well that really complemented the main dishes. Some of the main dishes and beers were a bit pricey as I've seen it available for 2/3 the price. But since I didn't order those, 5 stars for me with wonderful service.“

“The food is really good and I was surprised by the number of selections on their menu. The only reason I couldn’t give 5 stars was because of the service. My server was often disengaged even when directly speaking with me. It was like his thoughts were at another table. For example “what would you guys like” and “is there anything else I could get you guys” and it was just me, one person. All in all I had a good time and I will probably be back.“

“The seafood pancake is the best i've had so far. So good, cooked all the way yet not overcooked. Definitely recommended getting this dish!
Bossam, bibimbap, la style galbi and yangnyum fried chicken were good as well.
They also had a generous amount of banchans!
Only thing would be the parking, its hard to find a spot & getting in/out is also difficult.“

“First time here and I loved it so much. The seatings are with benches and a little tight but still decently roomy. There’s a lot of writing on the wall as you can write on it. The bathroom doesn’t flush as I held it down for 20secs and more like followed on the instruction in the bathroom. The food here is sooo flavorful and aromatic. I literally fell in love with my food. The rice was like Thai purple sticky rice just not sticky and I love that even more. My food was just not as tender as I’d like it to be but still good. I love the broth it came in and everything. My boyfriend had the tofu rice plate and that was pretty mid as I felt like they could’ve stir fry the tofu into the meat. Plus you can make this at home which didn’t feel very restaurant-y. The water was ice cold and they give it to you in a jug. Also offer barley tea but I did not drink it. Service was well, just like any other server.

“Tried this place while visiting the UCD campus. Great food, my only complaint was a little to much mayo for my liking but the serving size and quality was great. Overall the experience was great. The nice lady at the front makes the business feel warm and welcoming. Please support local businesses like this.“

“Great place to enjoy hot pot and KBBQ. Price is $+5 for both options which brings your total to about $37.99 per person for dinner on the weekend. They have a great self serve sauce bar and conveyer belt for your hot pot items. They bring out meats in a timely fashion too. I’ve been to lunch and dinner and honestly dinner only had a few more items that maybe worth it.“
“Not a typical food establishment set up - it’s on the ground floor of a (new, bright, modern) government/office building and as such its open times are more focused on the work week. I work nearby so love having this as a convenient lunch option. Food has always been tasty. My go-to is the Veggie Bop - their tofu is so good, and a favorite of coworkers.“

“So having watched numerous kdramas snd frequently seeing characters feasting on Korean fried chicken, I was pleased to see Bonchon Korean fried chicken in my neighborhood. I love fried chicken 🐔 n general, and thought what could possibly be different about the Korean version ? Well, the crust is thinner, crunchier and so tasty, plus the assortment of sauces snd heat levels means lots of choices. What a pleasant surprise. AND when I told the person who took our order at the counter that this was our first time, she took us under her wing and walked us through all the ins and outs. I can’t recall being so well taken care of. AND when we got our order including our first bottle of soju, another counter person came out with little condiment cups so that we could mimic the shot drinking from kdramas. What a treat from start to finish. So friendly and helpful and absolutely delicious. This will be our go-to after a movie theater nearby.“

“I absolutely love this restraint. We come here all the time and the staff is so friendly ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ they always greet us and we have come here so much that they know our names and we have the best time ♥️ they always give us some plum tea which is absolutely amazing and do not have an octopus sports or news blasting on the tv, but rather a calming videos of Korea. 10/10 would recommend coming here, it is amazing ♥️“
