Went with a group of 9.
They had plenty of seating but tables were a little cramped. The 10oz rib eye, hash browns and over easy eggs were cooked perfectly. It was the best breakfast dinner I have had in a long time.

Based on reviews, The Original Mels Diner (Natomas) is a lovely place that serves a delicious breakfast. The vegetarian omelette is packed with cheese, avocado, mushrooms, tomatoes, spring onion and sour cream, and the crispy hash browns make a perfect combination. The chicken fried steak and eggs are excellent, with hash browns off the chart good. The French dip is excellent, and the fish and shrimp basket is done perfectly. Portions are huge, so come with a big appetite. The staff is incredibly nice, friendly, and attentive. The wait staff will substitute any item from the menu, and they suggest sauces/gravies to try. This place is always extremely clean, and customers feel like they truly care.
