Rumorosa Reviews
Our server Gaby did a wonderful job at recommending the correct dishes for us to try. Everything was delicious.
Friday nights have live music which I really enjoyed. Some new menu items from my last visit. The Cali burger and BIrria dip sandwich, both very good. Shoutout to our server Gabriela! Thank you to Lindsey the hostess for accommodating our seating request and welcoming us with a friendly smile.
While staying at the Sheraton we had free breakfast vouchers in the restaurant. We only ate the buffet and did not try any of the other food they make. They had a very nice assortment of food including oat meal, scrambled eggs, cereals, smoked salmon and Mexican pastries. On the last day we were there on a Saturday they added an omelet station and expanded the food area.

Rumorosa offers a unique dining experience with a great Baja/San Diego vibe. The service is generally attentive and friendly, with staff willing to accommodate guests, especially those with dietary restrictions. The food is exceptional, with highlights like the Esquitas and Guava mousse dessert. The Thanksgiving buffet features a good variety of dishes from paella and tamales to sushi, though some diners have noted that the roast beef and lamb can be served cold. The adobo turkey breast and swordfish remain particularly praised, and desserts like pumpkin pie and cream cheese flan have received mixed reviews. The ambiance is lively, complemented by live music and a beautiful view of the bay from the tables. It’s a great place to celebrate special occasions, such as birthdays or holidays, and families find it kid-friendly with helpful staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Many guests have enjoyed the beautiful setting and the food, especially during events like San Diego Restaurant Week. Some reviews mention slow service, with waiting times of up to 30 minutes before being greeted, but overall, the experience remains positive. The restaurant offers two free hours of parking with a receipt, and a tiny resort fee is charged due to its location in a hotel. Despite occasional service hiccups, Rumorosa continues to be recommended for its good food and lively environment.
