The Local Pacific Beach Reviews
My pit stop every summer. Shout out to Chase for the great service! Cya next summer 😎
We stopped in for lunch. The staff was friendly and the Asian chicken salad was really good. We also had the fish tacos, they were good, but a bit salty. It was a fun atmosphere. Only downside was our waitress wasn't as attentive as we would hope. We waited quit a while for our food, while other waitstaff zipped around delivering to other tables. She may have been new. I would come back & i recommend it.
I am from LA on day trip, and came here to watch the Dodger game and Mexico game.
Kat was our server, she was great! Her customer service was on point! Beer wasn't always cold, but busters always came around to clean off our tables. Cleanliness and customer serve has been a lost art after Covid. But PB you have a regular every time I am in SD.

The Local Pacific Beach offers a lively atmosphere with good music and friendly service, though it can get crowded at times, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. The upstairs area is a club that fills up around 10pm, creating a vibrant party scene, while the downstairs remains less crowded but still lively. There is never a cover charge. The venue features a patio on the second floor that is nice but closes at 1, and the dance floor closes at 1:30, which many find early. The music selection varies depending on the DJ, with some nights being better than others. The crowd tends to be younger, mostly college-aged people. The bathrooms can sometimes be clean or not, depending on the night’s crowd. Drinks are priced high but are served with good service. The food includes a special menu with Buffalo, NY-inspired dishes, though some items may not be perfectly authentic. Overall, The Local provides a genuine Pacific Beach experience with engaging and welcoming people.
