Gianni Buonomo Vintners Winery •
4836 Newport Ave, San Diego

“This place is great! The wine is ridiculously good and the staff are super personable and down to earth. Everyone I’ve run into there or started up conversation with have been very friendly. It’s a great positive vibe from the wine down. The owner gave me a tour and explained the whole process impromptu when I asked about some of the chemistry details. It was really fun to nerd out and put that O-chem class to use. He genuinely enjoyed showing me and explaining the process. The wine is amazing and place just feels comfortable, relaxed, welcoming… I lack the writing skills to give an accurate description but it’s truly enjoyable. I highly recommend giving them a try.“

Carruth Cellars Urban Winegarden & Cheese Shop: Liberty Station Wineries • $$
2710 Historic Decatur Rd Barracks 17, San Diego

“The food, amazing as always. I recommend the pesto turkey panini, a long time favorite. For Wines, unicorn and the port. I also like that they have a few beers on tap for other pallets. The ambiance, vibe and venue itself are great. Don’t mind the airplanes, it adds to the San Diego metropolitan city thing. With this review really is about, is the service. We had a bachelorette party here Thursday and everything was amazing. Truly. Bernadette was on point for everything, always making sure our glasses were refilled, and helping with the flow of the event. Her and her teammates behind the bar Were so gracious and helpful and nice throughout the entire time. It made the experience so enjoyable. Thank you for the highest level of customer service, and care that you gave to our guests and our occasion. It’s unfortunate we had to move a couple of hours away from our favorite winery, but we will always stop by for a bottle and a friendly smile. Thank you again for everything! PS if the owners read this give your staff a raise, or a bonus day off. THEY EARNED IT.“

Petite Shirah

“What a great restaurant at the Bernardo Winery. It's the perfect place to meet up with friends for lunch before walking around the cute winery and do some shopping in the boutiques on site.

There are lots of outdoor tables to choose from and most are shaded. It opens at 11am and it was busy soon after. We went on a weekday too.
You can get wines from the tasting room or delicious coffee from Manzanita next door.

You order from the counter and your food will be delivered to your table. Everything we had was delicious though the pizza was a little on the burnt side from the wood fired oven.

Parking: There are two small parking lots and plenty of street parking.“
