The real stars of the show are bartenders Alejandra and Raquel. They're two of the kindest, most attentive, skilled and attractive bartenders I've encountered in ages. Their warm smiles, quick wit, and expertly crafted drinks make every visit a delight.

Sure, the atmosphere might be laid-back and slow-paced, but that's exactly what I've grown to appreciate. No pretentiousness, just genuine hospitality and a cozy ambiance that makes me feel right at home.

Alejandra and Raquel know their stuff, always willing to offer recommendations or whip up something special. Their passion shines through in every pour, and it's infectious.

Don't let the slow pace fool you - El Potro Bar has become my favorite spot to unwind, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy a perfectly chilled beer.

“It's a small dolphins bar. Glad we came, My boyfriend is a huge dolphins and heat fan. Everyone who came cheered on the dolphins and they won the game. Seats were filled and packed with dolphin fans! It was great. I found one seat at the bar and the owner Tony was really nice. Got me a beer right away and my friends came we enjoyed a pizza from Lucifers from down the st and enjoyed the night.

Parking: Parking is on the street. And you can find any spot nearby. It's not a far walk. Or behind the bar too..

“We used the place for a scene in a film. The place was really impressive. As a musician I usually find it hard to play gigs in smaller spaces. But this place is modern and updated. The stage is nice with plenty of room for a drum kit and still move around. They have nice stage lighting and an overall good musical club vibe. I will definitely book shows at this club for my band. It is a great spot for live shows.“

“Ever since moving to the area, this has been THE date night spot for my husband and I. It is everything we wanted in a local neighborhood bar -- a chill environment with kind staff and fun weekly activities. The music is low enough to be able to have good conversations. There is a lot of spacious seating, including large tables, couches with pillows, etc. The bar food is tasty, the walls are lined with books and games, and they have cute literary-themed cocktails. My husband and I will grab a drink and a board game and sit for hours! We've also seen people reading on the couch with a drink, which is such a vibe. The space is so well curated to be a comfortable spot for anyone -- groups, dates, or solos.

The staff are beyond friendly, and the new owner Joy is a ray of sunshine. She remembers our names when we come visit and has been so passionate about incorporating new weekly activities like taco Tuesdays, karaoke, and trivia.

“My husband and I finally got to try the Sidecar Market in Newhall. The drinks were superb. Food was pretty good as well. The wait staff was very attentive. They literally checked on us every few minutes. We were there fairly early though so it had a casual vibe. No one other than us seemed to be dressed for dinner. The only downside was my husband asked if they could make a Ramos Gin Fizz. We have had it in New Orleans, where it originated, and in an upscale bar in Vegas. Both those experiences were incredible. The bartender said she didn't know what it was so he said nevermind and asked for something different. Well I guess she wanted to impress, looked it up and gave him one anyway. Unfortunately she failed miserably. There's a reason only a few places make it. It's an art and very labor intensive. I came in for a cocktail and left wondering how someone can make bartending look that good.

“I’ve been coming to this spot since it was the Celtic Raven, and I happened to walk in on Chela’s Cantina during its soft launch. I’ve been a regular ever since day one. The owner is phenomenal, and the crowd it attracts is just as great! friendly, welcoming, and full of good vibes.

There’s always something to do here: enjoy music, grab some food and drinks, hop on karaoke, or play a round of pool. While the alcohol selection is smaller compared to bigger bars, it actually introduced me to wine spirits and gave me a new appreciation for trying something different.

“I stopped here to watch the Dodgers World Series game 1. This is the local dive bar, the crowd was loud but the Dodgers had a walkoff home run so I was expecting some noise. Pool table was old school, only a quarter to play with a chalkboard of who’s next. I had a fun evening and the lady behind the bar bought me a beer, how often does that ever happen. Restaurant Seating Barn Furniture had a good selection of teak table tops at good price points. We ordered a 36” round, teak table tops at and we really like it. It arrived in short order and the quality was nice. I teak oiled the top and bottom. It turned out fabulous!“
