“I’ve been coming to this spot since it was the Celtic Raven, and I happened to walk in on Chela’s Cantina during its soft launch. I’ve been a regular ever since day one. The owner is phenomenal, and the crowd it attracts is just as great! friendly, welcoming, and full of good vibes.

There’s always something to do here: enjoy music, grab some food and drinks, hop on karaoke, or play a round of pool. While the alcohol selection is smaller compared to bigger bars, it actually introduced me to wine spirits and gave me a new appreciation for trying something different.

If you’re looking for a small, local atmosphere with a strong sense of community, I highly recommend Chela’s Cantina. It’s truly a hidden gem!“

“I stopped here to watch the Dodgers World Series game 1. This is the local dive bar, the crowd was loud but the Dodgers had a walkoff home run so I was expecting some noise. Pool table was old school, only a quarter to play with a chalkboard of who’s next. I had a fun evening and the lady behind the bar bought me a beer, how often does that ever happen. A five star evening for me!“

“We had a nice existing, outdoor table stand with a weather destroyed table top. I shopped on the internet for a nice, teak table top. Restaurant Seating Barn Furniture had a good selection of teak table tops at good price points. We ordered a 36” round, teak table tops at and we really like it. It arrived in short order and the quality was nice. I teak oiled the top and bottom. It turned out fabulous!“

“The bar at the Valley Inn is perhaps one of the best kept secrets in LA. Yes, it’s tiny but get there early, secure your seat and you’re in for a ride of the greatest cocktails served up by a ladies and gentlemen’s gentleman - the maker with the shaker, Bill. Seriously, make a friend of this guy and then introduce him and the bar to your favorite people - only your favorite people! “Tried line dancing for the first time here and absolutely loved it. Even though the place was packed, it never felt chaotic or overwhelming, which made the whole experience really enjoyable.
As someone who had never done line dancing before, I really appreciated that there were beginner-friendly dances as well as more advanced ones for experienced dancers. One of the nicest parts of the night was simply watching the couples on the floor, they were clearly having a great time, and it added such a warm, fun energy to the atmosphere.“

“We came to Paragon Bar and Grill for brunch right after my daughter’s graduation from CSUN. I found the place through a quick internet search and didn’t really know what to expect, but I was able to make a reservation online for a party of 13 with no issue. Our reservation was right when they opened at 11am on a Sunday, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves—just a couple of people at the bar. The space definitely leans more bar than grill, but it worked well for our group. Very low-key and relaxed. The menu had plenty of options, which was great since we had a few picky eaters. Everyone found something they liked, and the food was excellent across the board. The service stood out—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We didn’t order many drinks, but even so, I was surprised at how reasonable the bill was for such a large group. Only downside: the bathroom could use a refresh. It’s what you’d expect in a neighborhood bar—functional but not the highlight of the visit. Would absolutely go back. Great experience overall, and I really appreciate the staff for helping make the day special.“

The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the shrimp fajitas while my husband had the asada tacos. The portions were perfect, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I only wish we lived closer so we could visit more often. This place is excellent!“

“My husband and I usually go during happy hour for their poke nachos and crispy brussel sprouts but have tried a few other things. Everything we've tried has been delicious but occasionally varies in preparation quality. We went on March 18th and ordered the poke nachos but they were not as good. The portion was a lot smaller than usual, so we decided to order another one. The second one came out great (I included a picture of the one prepared correctly) and that's when we realized they left off ingredients from the first one sent. They were still good but it was interesting that the two plates were that different. We didn't mention this to our waiter and I'm sure they would have been accommodating but maybe plates should be checked for quality before they're delivered?

Another note, we usually sit at the bar but we got a table the last time since the bar was packed. We were obviously fine with this but the cleanliness was extremely lacking. The menus had food on them and greasy fingerprints. I'm also not sure why the booths are never wiped down?? The tables are cleaned but the food just lands on the seats. Then you're wondering what else isn't cleaned, look around, and notice all the other spots that aren't wiped down. So gross.“

Linguine Vongole (white clam sauce). I have had literally thousands of these in my life and this hands down had the most clams I’ve ever had on this dish. The sauce is truly clam forward and it’s so good. And it’s not too garlicky which some places lean on for primary flavor.

Filet Mignon Meatballs- YUMMMMMMMMM

Cauliflower- it’s like poached in a crack sauce it’s so good, tender, slightly lemony, yes butter.“

The food was really good, especially for the price, the staff (all three waiters we had!) were knowledgable, helpful, kind/friendly, and the atmosphere on the patio was pleasant. This seems like a small thing but most of the time when I order salmon and ask for it to be on the tender/rare side my request is ignored -- not at Rosti, they got it right!
