“Marianne's was absolutely amazing!! I went with a couple friends for my birthday and our bartender/waiter Chris made the night so special. The food was absolutely delicious, drinks were perfect, and got the cutest photos ever. Would 100% come again.“

“The lounge is nice and warmly lit with football games playing on TVs near the bar counter. We had a few bar snacks to go with our Presidio Fall Spritz and Affogato. The drinks were excellent all around. They were, however, very expensive with the spritz coming in at $30. I suppose that is to be expected when you have a drink at the Ritz so I won’t hold it against them.“

“Old world ambiance meets current SF vibe. We shared six small plates between four people and couldn't finish them all. Each was a vibrant taste experience. Especially notable were the Beef Pierogi Dumplings which were uniquely savory. For a light meal, before the theater, the Cheesy Roasted Potatoes and Roasted Beet Salad would satisfy two. Edward, the owner, served one hit after the other, knowing how to serve encore after encore of deliciousness.“
“Great people, great cocktails and great music all in a relaxed and rustic environment.“
“I came for the Silent Book Club. It seems to be a nice place. I didn't order anything at this visit. We were in a room in the back and were given water and small snacks. The bar seems to be a place with a bit of an intellectual vibe and seems inviting. Maybe it would be nice to return for some of its offerings.“
“Friendly staff who are happy to give reccomendations for the area (both for food, bars etc as well as "cultural" advice).
Reasonably priced.
Nice vibe. Music, but not too loud. Cool rural on the floor you enter in.“

“It was a quiet Tuesday evening in October around 8 PM. We enjoyed four drinks by the window: an Old Fashioned, whisky, and a specialty cocktail. The etched ice cube was a fun touch. The waitress was genuinely nice and checked in on us just enough. It’s a great spot for a date night or solo chill time with a stunning city view from floor 31.“

“Craft Cocktails are creative, balanced, and leaving you wanting more. The food: Duck Salad, Buns, Veg Fried Rice, Sea Bass were all fresh, flavorful, and amazing. This restaurant takes Asian Pacific Cuisine and elevates it to the heavens… The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, accommodating, and very friendly.“

“Great bar and bartender! Arno was a pure gentleman! Great spot for a late night drink after the crowds have cleared North Beach. We were the only two people in there on NYD at midnight but the bartender made us feel welcome and happily gave us great service even though the streets were dead. He also pointed us to a premium sandwich shop for lunch the next day. $14 specialty cocktails and $5 beers too!“

“I travel frequently and stop at many Admiral's clubs, that being said, what makes this one stand out above the others is the people. I can't say I have any complaints about any of the other clubs or employees, but at SFO, they're a step above.“

“We came here for happy hour on a Monday evening and we were one of the only customers in a nearly empty restaurant, so service was pretty efficient. We almost had the entire staff catering exclusively to us. I'd say the restaurant kind of feels like a cross between a bistro bar and a 50s restaurant with dim lighting. Once we took a look at the menu, of course we had to get a wine flight.
Between 2 of the $13 wine flights, we ordered a Melon de Bourgogne, Merlot, Gamay, and then we were recommended a Rose Grenache, and an an orange wine, which was interesting.
$ 7 Chicken Liver Mousse:
okay! It was topped with chives, served with cornichons.
$10 Jamon Serrano Croquetas:
good! definitely fresh, because it came piping hot. I had to cut it in half and let it steam for a few minutes.
$19 Octopus Carpaccio - pickled capers and pickled peppers, pomegranate:
great! very tangy taste, get it if you like sour flavors
$29 Duck Leg Confit - Grimaud farm duck leg with gratin dauphinois, salad, duck jus:
excellent! crispy skin on duck leg with green salad and radishes helped lighten it up.
When we got our bill, it came tucked inside of a French paperback, which I thought was a cute touch. We got full from happy hour, though two items were not from the happy hour menu. I give Amelie a 9.2/10“
“Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was above average with a good selection of Western and Asian dishes. Love the noodle bar! I tried the wonton noodles it was good enough but the noodle texture was not as good as those served in Hong Kong CX lounge. Spacious and well planned. Great lounge overall!“

“First time customer after passing by for years of living in this neighborhood. The staff are AMAZING! Crystal is a phenomenal bartender and a wonderful conversationalist. Granted it was not busy so I was able to grasp her attention even though she was clearly still paying attention to Everyone in the bar and meeting their needs. Extremely professional and personable.
Overall exp:
Bar maid is great. Bald guy is cool 😎
I will definitely be coming back! A great neighborhood spot for locals to discover and spend their evening <3“
“Fun time and great cocktails and food come here with your friends for sure.“

“I quit drinking before the judge ordered me to—how is that for initiative? Since that last call, no bar has captured my attention. Nor have I returned to any of the bars I enjoyed around here. I’m from the east coast—a pub near a rail station which draws a crowd free of pretense is proper nurture. Glen Park Station is welcoming, comfortable, fun, and built for a night done right.
There are non-alcoholic brews for those who abstain, shot-and-a-beer specials for $12.00, wine by the glass, and an indoor smoking lounge. A pinball machine which takes dollar bills. Darts. Superior bar stools. Table seating up front. A rear patio. No Apple Pay.The bar has neighboring businesses which serve food. One can find Vietnamese, Thai, and Mexican fare within a block. The bodega sits across from BART, on the same side of Diamond St. A pizza place is in proximity. This area has a low-key dominance about it. A great spot for socializing, a walkable pocket of the city wherein small businesses sling good eats, and you have the option to get hammered.
Parking is available in the public library lot after 6, 7, 8PM during the week. Street parking on the northbound lane of Bosworth between Arlington & Diamond is free in the evenings. I am not sure when the meters stop accepting payment-I pulled up at 7:30PM on a Monday.
To those behind the wheel—be advised—residential streets intersect as sharp turns become sudden hills. At all hours there are pedestrians, cyclists, and coyotes. SFPD often posts a patrol vehicle on Bosworth (south of the Arlington intersection) to eyeball the I-280 south on-ramp.“

“Novela is such a great spot. The library-themed decor is super cozy and gives the bar a really intimate, laid-back vibe—perfect for a chill drink that can easily turn into a longer night. It feels stylish without trying too hard.
The drinks are amazing, especially the punch-on-tap flight. Fun flavors, generous pours, and definitely worth sharing. Easily one of my favorite bars in SF and a place I’d always come back to.“
“Good music. That’s about it in terms of major pros. I usually come because the bar is empty at nights and I can bring a large group without worry of the place being too full but sometimes the bouncers will try to charge cover when the place is maybe at 5-10% capacity and I’m about to bring in 15 people all ready to buy shots. Not sure what kind of instruction they’re receiving but if Rockwell is empty and still charging cover there’s so many better bars nearby they’ll lose business to“

“Waldy was the bartender and was super hospitality and welcoming! He was great at recommending the best drinks and food. The quesabirria and the barbacoa nachos were delicious and you have to do a Mexican candy shot (pictured). Music was also great.“

“Amazingly weird, a real gem. Strange and wonderful interior with a wildly good beer selection and the owner, Remat, is a genuine “only in SF” character. Go for the decor, stay for the sour beer, and support a neighborhood bar that could never be imitated.“

“I had a great drink here and will be back — good conversation and playful banter with the bartender. Local spot on Chestnut with a pool table in the back. I stopped in solo just to check the vibe, since I live in the neighborhood and had never been in. Everyone was welcoming, and the staff was happy to chat.“
“I could not have enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Regency SF more than I did. Exceptional friendly staff and the room I had at the top of the world with a world class view of the Bay , stunning. . . . Not inexpensive but if you can afford a room here with a water view, , do not hesitate. Ferry building across the street is fun to browse and the boardwalk wonderfully walkable/runable.“

“Orafo is a hidden gem perched above San Francisco’s Financial District — a restaurant that blends California boldness with classic Italian soul, all wrapped in Four Seasons elegance. I came here for two breakfasts and one indulgent lunch, and each meal was a perfect mix of thoughtful preparation, fresh ingredients, and flawless service.
The space itself is stunning: airy and sunlit during the day, warm and intimate at night. Whether you're seated by the windows or tucked into a cozy banquette, it feels like a refined escape from the busy city below.
Must-orders: the seafood soup — rich, comforting, and full of depth — and the perfectly seared steak, which was easily one of the best I’ve had in SF. Everything from the plating to the pacing felt intentional and quietly luxurious.
Whether you're staying at the hotel or not, Orafo is absolutely worth a visit. It’s effortlessly chic, never pretentious, and ideal for anything from business meetings to slow, indulgent meals above the city.“

“Lily and her family make a great team. Very friendly bar, with good service and generous measures of drinks at very reasonable prices. Luckily we were staying just down Post so it quickly became our go-to bar during our short stay in SF. Lovely chicken wings too. Thanks for a great time. And a lovely fluffy cat to boot !!“

“Great views, great staff, great food, and great drinks. Loved the decor and atmosphere. Would recommend and will return. Enjoyed the DJ, my favorite drinks were the Love Cats and Mr. Jinks. We shared several plates and the pork belly skewers, the pretzels (the mustard and pimento stuff was delish) and the asparagus salad were all amazing.“

“First of all food in this context equals cocktails. Went with some friend to this place and had half the cocktails on the menu!! Amazing
I even timed Shawn how long it would take him to make 5 cocktails and it was between 5-10 minutes
Now if his country’s government would move the same speed we would be in such a better place!
Top picks for the cocktails: pink pussycat, the flirty, chocolate martini“

“Marcus & Aliah are two of the best. I frequented here for several months in 2023. This is a good bar for meeting people, with good music and cocktails. Juan, the owner, is sometimes here and very hospitable. The bartenders know the house cocktails, which are batched and quite good. There is a DJ playing on most weekend nights. They have recently had renovations which turned out quite well.“

“This place is a hidden gem. You must go! The music venue was out of this world great! We saw Zinggflower on a Monday night & they were terrific! Blues/Jazz. They play on Monday nights. The food here was terrific also, Southern Comfort food & yes the biscuits were great! Each night there is a different band but go see Zinggflower on Monday nights if you can. They will not disappoint. The musicians are so talented!“

“Great spot for pre show dinner, easy parking and walk to all main venues. Our fixed menus had three great choices, we had the citrus salad (light and perfectly balanced), clam chowder (generous portion and tasty). Main was petrole sole and it was perfectly grilled! And don't miss the flat bread, 100% worth the up charge. We will definitely make this our go to from now on!“
