“Good little pork pate chauds $1.25 here. We ordered eight of the square ones and four of the triangle ones. We already ate some Cambodian noodles earlier but found room for some pate chauds. These will probably not be good the next day so we had to hurry. We ate all of them on the way from SJ to SF. Good times.“
“If you're craving a taste of Vietnam with a side of sweetness, savory, or both, look no further than this adorable bakery. From traditional Vietnamese snacks to mouthwatering baked goods, every bite is so flavorful. The family-owned atmosphere adds an extra layer of warmth, with the owners always ready with a smile and helpful suggestions. “Service is great. My daughter Jae works there and is very knowledgeable and attentive with orders. She always triple checks orders prior to making them. Kid friendly as well since her 3 younger sisters go in to buy cookies. I’m very proud of my daughter and all her accomplishments!“
“I'm no expert on vietnamese dessert but love everything we got. We recently went to Vietnam so at least we have some reference point. We got the Che Thai (no ice, prepacked cups on the table). They all have coconut cream with different "toppings" marked in vietnamese. The one we got has jellies, tapioca, and tapioca mochi balls filled with mung bean paste. We love the combination of flavors and texture without being too sweet.I also grabbed a box of agar jellies. It's layered with mung bean and taro. Also delicious, and not too sweet.Banh Mi was cheap and delicious. I got the grilled pork one (#3) and the balance of bread to meat and toppings is also great. They also sell che (icy drink) and tofu pudding (tau hu). There was a constant stream of customers so it looks like a locals favorite. Parking lot is tiny but it right next to the Lions Supermarket.“

“Duc Huong Gio Cha in Sun Plaza is a solid choice for Vietnamese sandwiches, offering freshly baked bread and well-balanced fillings. Their signature cold-cut bánh mì stands out, featuring smooth pâté, flavorful cha lua (Vietnamese pork sausage), and crisp pickled vegetables. The balance of textures—soft, crunchy, and rich—keeps this spot reliable for a satisfying bite.
While service is efficient, peak hours can lead to slower turnaround times. Some visits may feel rushed, with minor variations in ingredient proportions, but overall, the quality remains consistent. If you're craving a classic bánh mì with authentic flavors, this shop is worth stopping by.“
