This is my go-to place for banh mi heo quay (roasted pork banh mi). If you go early in the morning, the heo quay is so good with the crispy skin. I've had the banh mi later in the day a few times and it's still good, but it doesn't hit the spot as it does in the morning lol.
The bahn mi here is incredible. I opted for the roasted pork which was SO crispy. The meat was fatty in a good way. I have heard the grilled pork and pork belly were really good so I'll try that next time. The bread and all the ingredients were very fresh. The wait wasn't more than 10 minutes and they seemed busy so the food came out quickly. They didn't have any seating there so it's really just to go. This is one of the better banh mi sandwiches I've had in San Jose. I ordered the combo. Really flavorful meat and pate. The French bread was light and crispy. Great portion of veggies to meat to bread. I'm craving another one just talking about it. I also got pate chaud they were meaty and flakey.
