7 Best Italian Restaurants near San Juan Capistrano

“Just ate here today for the first time and the pizza was amazing!! I ordered the bbq chicken and my friend got pepperoni. The crust was insanely delicious and crispy! Cheese to toppings ratio was on point! The mozzarella cheese sticks were also very good! And to top it all off, the customer service was 💯!! Highly recommend!!“

“Second visit to Limoncello and want to say the food is excellent in every way. Last night I had Arugula salad (very lemony dressing), the Risotto (outstanding) and chocolate gelato which was VERY chocolate. Topped with a nice wine. All Excellent. As for atmosphere, lots of large parties there last night celebrating Christmas and birthdays so was quite noisy, but 'tis the season. Highly recommend Limoncello. Food and service are excellent and above average. Menu is extensive with very different and interesting options. If they would have served a shot of Limoncello after dinner I would have thought I was dining in Italy.“

“Food was absolutely incredible! They were very prompt with Service but it did feel a little rushed and wanting us to get in and out. From when we sat down to when we finish eating, it was 30 minutes and the check was placed in front of us. Cannot complain about the food, though it was amazing and the complementary bread was also very good.“

“I’ve been coming here for years and always like everything. They have a very clean kitchen and warm, friendly staff. Something that absolutely blew my mom and I away recently was the artichoke dip. Yum!! It is so fresh and delish!!“

“Pastalia is a wonderful spot for Italian food in San Juan Capistrano! The pasta was delicious, flavorful, and prepared with great attention to detail. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the portions were satisfying without feeling too heavy. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great place for a relaxed meal with family or friends. The service was friendly and welcoming as well. A lovely place for pasta lovers, and definitely somewhere I’d happily return to! 🍝✨“

“Crivello’s Italian Bistro is hands down the best place for amazing Italian food! Every dish we’ve tried has been absolutely perfect—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff is always kind and attentive. Highly recommend Crivello’s if you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine paired with outstanding service!“

“Guys, I dunno what to tell ya... even when they are having a bad or off day, this place is still the spot to go. They never disappoint. 6 of us went in last night around 7:00 PM and it appeared there was only one person serving the floor and one bartender serving the bar area. Our server, Leslie C, did not make it even seem that way. She took great care of us and was keeping us informed along the way as well. I have a lot of health concerns and they were very helpful, knowledgeable, and kind about it. More servers like her. She deserves a raise, y'all!“
