“After a very disappointing Dinner in SF STK, I wanted Desert but not at STK. The last thing I wanted was to sit there and act like my meal was wonderful.Searched for a good Desert restaurant late in the evening I found T’s. NOTHING DISAPPOINTING ABOUT THIS PLACE. 10 minute wait and the Best desert was delivered in my hands. The waffle made to order was fresh hot alone with my Cold topping was amazing. I will definitely have to make another trip and visit to T’s. From Portland Oregon to T’s a must.

“I’m touring a condo in Oakland for a client making an offer and I stop for a quick bite at a tiny sandwich place next to the Grand Lake Theater. OMG, Unbelievable sandwiches, smoked meats, homemade pickles, peppers🫑 and memorable pulled pork, etc. I hang out for a few minutes while Jerry makes my Cuban sandwich, and he has me try their smoked bacon, homemade meatballs, and more. “A bit spendy for a smoothie I will admit. But they are very tasty, plant based(hooray sensory issues), and it satisfies. I got the Bipped in the Tropics, a very Oakland take on a pina colada, sans the booze or the excessive sugar - the activated charcoal I found to be an interesting addition. Just what I needed after an impromptu visit to Kaiser up the street.“

Ordered Vietnamese iced coffee, as one always should when available, and a croissant. Both delicious. Croissant large and buttery.

The prices are fair and the atmosphere is very pleasant and the spirit of Oakland.

“Best juices and shots ever you can see live they make fresh juices and organic Samosas and shots was really good, I was sick and i want something healthy, I was looking and the cashier recommended the shots they have ginger and tumeric mix that was really good, it helped me a lot i can see it is really working.
I tried there Red cure which has apple celery beets carrots ginger it is really good. I can feel little better after drinking this.
Best place highly recommended.I am impressed with their service.“

“I frequently visit Golden Outside since I work nearby and I adore this little cafe! Sheri(Sherry?) is amazing and very knowledgable about all of the plants she keeps and sells in the shop, and the coffee is delicious. They alternate bakeries which is really fun, since every day there might be something totally different. The teas are also excellent, amazing chai. I love the care and attention they put into everything, if you're in need of a pick me up and a plant in the Cleveland Heights neighborhood in Oakland I highly recommend stopping by!“

“Warm, inviting, clean, friendly staff & fast service. The manager was training the ladies on a new menu item (mozzarella bites) & he allowed me to try one. I immediately added the bites to my order because they were tasty & hot. My dragon fruit bowl did not disappoint either. I normally order an açaí bowl but I needed more vitamin c. The bowl was delicious, fresh ingredients & ready within 2 minutes.“

“I have now been to this location at least 5 times. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere cheerful, with enough seating both inside and out. I like that they have self-serve water. I keep wanting to try something new -- they have lots of options -- but every time I order the avocado smash toast, I am always so satisfied and delighted that I can't bring myself to order something else! The avocado is ALWAYS fresh and never past its prime. That must be hard to do. I appreciate their quality assurance. (I can recall from other restaurants or sandwich shops the disappointment of paying extra for avocado but getting fruit that has that weird/bad taste of old avocados.) The smash has these scrumptious little marinated cherry tomatoes and microgreens and the tiniest hint of heat from a little chili oil. Yum. A feast the the eyes, too. Toastique in Danville is a great place to have a leisurely breakfast with a friend or a post-workout snack. “it is small shop which touch screen kiosk to order near Oakland Chinatown. Practically you have to wait for the person in front of you finish their order before you get it. it might fit max 4 to 5 people. There are plenty option from the menu. You can choose sweet option.

Zees Munchies Truck is an absolute gem! The crêpes are really, really good—perfectly made, flavorful, and loaded with toppings. i went to QTea Bar for the first time and honestly - ITS NOT BAD FOR A PERSON WHO ONLY HAS $10 AT THE MOMENT LIKE ME.

basically, its a small place - however they offer a lot of items on their menu! the one on the picture is the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Boba, which costed $7 dollars (I DROPPED MY JAW AT THE PRICE, BUT ITS FINE I GUESS?)

i chose Normal sweetness level and was expecting a nice sugar level, but was instantly kicked with a flavor that felt like 10 spoons of sugar on my mouth😭💔

i suggest letting it dilute for a little bit and drinking it, because the sugar really was kicking me 🫩

im used to the “normal” amount if sugar level since im a sugar-tooth, but if youre an adult, i suggest 50-75% sugar - also the toppings (boba, etc) are $0.50 — which is an okay price

the employees are super nice, they only had 2 people working at the time i was there - so i believe its a small business run by them

overall; great service, nice menu, small place but functional!

“8-Twelve is a true neighborhood gem. It is the kind of place where kids can grab a snack and a fun drink for a reasonable price, and then just relax after school. Even though it is not as close to the middle or high school as some of the other hangouts, it has become one of our favorites.

I appreciate that it has lasted the test of time and I hope it continues to thrive. One of the best parts is that they offer non-caffeinated tea drinks for the kids, which is rare and so thoughtful.

“This place was a hit. It was a little hidden gem that my daughter and I stopped in after catching a movie at Southland Mall. They have a variety of tease lemonades and Boba drinks even some iced coffees as well and if you’re hungry, they have some appetizing snacks that you can grab like chicken strips french fries that you can have toppings of garlic fries or other seasonings and if you want something sweet they have something that I love funnel cakes. My daughter has something called a waffle on a stick, which is something that I’m interested in trying next time. The Nutella was creamy and it was warm and it came with a little side of vanilla ice cream. She loved it. It looks so yummy. I wish that I had gotten one as well. I can’t wait to go back and if you’re ever in the area, you should definitely stop by and grab one a bonus was that the girls were super knowledgeable of the menu and had plenty of tips to recommend. I only ended up getting a fruited lemonade, which was so good because the toppings inside were made from fresh fruits not those that were sleeping in syrup. I can’t wait to go back and try something new. The girls that worked there were super friendly and they provided great service.“

“This is the place for working outside the office and home. It is as quiet as it gets, not as quiet as a library, of course. Everyone is respectfully quiet; with the occasional conversations a few tables across or the espresso machine pumping out shots. Lots of people during the day to just work, read, do their thing. A better environment than most Starbucks, as this place is more spacious … it has the local study room vibe. They also make simple sandwiches in the back … so you can power through the day not just being dependent on caffeine alone.“

“I had a great experience at Happy Lemon! While waiting for my order, I noticed a young male staff member thoughtfully washing his hands after handling money from a customer. It was such a simple gesture, but it really stood out to me and made the whole visit feel even more pleasant and hygienic. It gave me even more confidence in how they handle everything. “If you’re looking for amazing acai bowls and fresh smoothies, this is the spot! We tried the Oasis and Alpha bowls. Both were delicious, packed with fresh fruit, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. The granola they use is a total game-changer. Highly recommend!“

“My husband and I just spent two weeks visiting Oakland and we discovered Gelato Firenza (near Grand Lake Theate) one week into our trip. Once we did we made a special trip there every day, and one day even went twice! It’s the best gelato we’ve tasted anywhere, and we’ve been all over.

We first had gelato 40 years ago in Rome and were delighted as it became increasingly popular all over the world. We’ve tried it in many places, but this is our favorite.

We learned that it’s all natural, no additives, and made on the premises daily by the owner, who is so devoted to getting the flavors just right that she often spends four or more days perfecting them.

We love the fact that it’s not overly sweet, so you can really taste the underlying flavors (and feel good about it having less sugar). They’re very generous about allowing you to taste before ordering, and the prices are excellent.

Our favorites were: hazelnut, salted caramel, strawberry and rose (which was so unique and delicious!) Others we tasted and loved included Earl Grey, Matcha, coconut, almond, Dulce de Leche, and cookies and cream, but every flavor we tried was truly delicious.

For reference I have only written two other reviews in my life: one about my dog’s veterinarian, and one about a hotel in Thailand. But this gelato is so special and the owner so delightful I had to pass the word on.

“Visited this place for the first time and liked it. Food is OK and the portion is descent. I found the drinks very sweet, and wish there could be an option to add less sugar. Order a chicken salad sandwich that kind of tasted good but had a fishy smell to it (may be due to Tuna being served there as well).
Atmosphere is cozy and is a great place if you need a corner to hang out with a friend over coffee.
Service is fast and cordial- sweet couple running this place.
Will definitely re-visit to experience this place again.“
