San Ramon is lucky to have them at the farmers market. If you can, eat it warm while sitting in the shade at City Center. Trust me, it’s worth slowing down for.“

“I saw a sign for gourmet ice cream and I obviously had to stop in. This place beyond exceeded my expectations! I got the saffron pistachio ice cream and it is one of the most delicious ice creams I've ever had. Perfect balance of sweet and mild and I can see myself craving this. “I love this bakery! The food is always delicious, and they go above and beyond with the portion sizes. The Arabic tres-leches style cake and the jalapeño & cheddar bread are my favs. The only frustrating thing is that they only have 1 item available for GF eaters and that's sold out every time I go. Fortunately I don't have celiac disease, so even though it does affect me negatively, at least I'm still able to enjoy a small treat every once in awhile and pay the price later. Hoping they'll expand their GF menu soon, and that they'll be nice enough to include a variety of baked goods, (preferably some items that don't contain chocolate, unlike their GF choc chip cookie). I don't know what it is about people who offer GF baked goods that they seem to think we all enjoy eating stuff with chocolate in it. Some of us are very sensitive to chocolate. Regardless, their food is delicious and definitely worth giving a try. And for me, knowing that it's also halal is the icing on the cake.“

I was initially afraid that we had too many desserts for the guests; but everything was gone within minutes of Natalie setting up the dessert & boba bar!

From the beginning of the planning process, Natalie was responsive, kind, and flexible. “Came in on a Sunday, and even though it was busy, the service moved quickly. I did make the mistake of ordering “a number 4,” not realizing there are at least four different menus with a number 4. The woman behind the counter didn’t clarify, but thankfully the mix‑up was caught early before anything went too far off track.

I’m fairly certain the lox bagel had a picture of an actual lox bagel on the menu, so I was surprised when mine arrived with only cream cheese. Traditionally, lox and cream cheese are layered together, so it threw me off a bit. That said, it still tasted good. The jalapeño bagel, though, was the real standout—easily one of the top three bagels I’ve ever had.

The inside of the restaurant is a little shabby, and the woman at the counter seemed a bit annoyed with us for just being alive, but the food itself was delicious, the prices were right, and overall it was a solid experience. I’d happily come back for those bagels alone.“

“I am lucky enough to work with Victor’s mom and once in a while she brings Victor’s cheesecake to work and then I lose my mind! I don’t know if I can find the right words in the English language to do them justice but here it goes! Victor’s cheesecakes are like a cheesecake became the queen of England but it never lost its cool and warmth of a regular person! You still have the cheesecake, the smooth cheese taste and texture we all love but then the cheesecake gets so refined by the flavors that it comes in that you just have to stop after every bite and really taste the bouquet of flavor and sweetness that just makes you sit down and really enjoy it! If Victor lived next to me, I would be 500 lbs! I have loved every flavor I tried but my favorite is definitely hands down ube, and apple, and peach, and pineapple! Never mind, I can’t choose one! “We were so excited when we learned Model Bakery was coming to WC, making it much easier to get their delicious English muffins. We’ve come for those, of course, and also enjoyed their breakfast sandwiches, croissants, scones, cookies and baked breads. All are delicious. My go to is the apricot pecan scone and the chocolate rad cookie. So rich and decadent. My husband loves the epi baguette, which we usually only get when in Napa. “I was craving rice cakes filled with sesame and sugar one day and was ecstatic to find out that one of the best rice cake places in the Bay Area was near me. When I went in around Sunday 7am, the owners were busy making bulk orders but kindly paused to show me a few of their small selections for sale. Sadly, no honey rice cake was available for the day but after asking, they advised to call beforehand to confirm what they have in stock that day since the menu changes each day. It’s a good idea since it seemed like their hours vary based on what I read from the notice on the door. Bring cash.

I picked up two (pictured) rice cakes and they were both warm, soft, and delicious. I will be returning for more.

I really wanted to eat real honey rice cake, not the hard honey rice cake sold at the market, so I looked for it, and luckily, there was a traditional rice cake shop nearby, so I rushed to it in the morning. There was no honey rice cake that day, but I regretfully bought injeolmi and bean rice cake with anko and I was not disappointed. It's the same taste I had in Korea when I was young. I would like to thank the owner who works hard from early in the morning to make delicious rice cakes for Koreans living in other places. I hope you do this for a long time. You are already receiving a lot of love in Northern California, but I hope you prosper even more.“
