“We had a very long tiring trip through the mountains just to get to our lodge in Lucia because we had to avoid the landslide closure on Hwy 1. It was exhausting driving, then 2 hours at the Hearst Castle where you aren’t allowed to eat or drink anything. .. no coffee anywhere on our route… just to find out the castle cafe was closed when we got back from the tour. I said all that to say this.. The young man behind the counter was closing and the look on my face must have spoke to him because he quickly told me he would make us food and me an Americana.. first his kindness brought tears to my tired eyes and secondly that coffee was THE BEST I’ve had. The hot sandwiches and fresh salad were delicious and the portions were large. We took half of it back up the lodge to eat later. This one decision by him to accommodate me and my grandsons completely turned this stressful day into a much better one. The cafe and store were clean, bathrooms were clean and easily accessible. The staff were friendly and helpful and the area around the cafe and store is peaceful and attractive. Plenty of parking and the walkways were easy to navigate. I highly recommend this establishment and look forward to visiting again.”

“It's a little rustic, but very hospitable. There is nothing else around, so you have this section of the CA coast to yourself and the other guests. The restaurant is great, and the portions are big. We ate there for 3 days and never had a bad meal.”

People might need to give places a chance especially on holiday weekends. If you don't want to wait and expect to be seated and served within 10mins drive out to a fast food restaurant.”

“Stopped at Brydge for a late lunch when exploring the Central Coast. It’s a converted home off the main street of Cambira. It has cozy atmosphere & lovely back patio. The petrale sole appetizer was magical. The waygu burger was perfect.”

“We visited Cambria this weekend and decided to try Sea Chest since we were staying within walking distance. Oh man! This place is incredible. We loved it so much we decided to go for dinner both nights of our trip! The shrimp and scallop scampi was delicious and my husband enjoyed the fresh catches of the day each night. We arrived at opening time each night so it was about an hour wait but honestly it went by so quick. They have plenty of room to wait inside or outside with a glass of wine and on Saturday night they had live music in the outside waiting area. The service was great both nights as well. Make sure you order the chocolate torte and a nice cup of coffee for dessert - you will not regret it! Can’t wait to visit again soon!”

“I always look forward to a meal at this homey place. My friend from his Cambrian days, John Brannon, recommended the hamburgers, and even though I was primed for breakfast I had the Mushroom Burger. Delicious, and the friendly waitress volunteered that I could order onion rings instead of fries at no additional charge. It was a great choice!”

“An oasis…rolled into town after driving all day, and just wanted a beer. A good beer. Got exactly that.
I come from the land of Pliny and so many other amazing brews, it was nice to get to try something new. Fella behind the bar was chatty and attentive, even though we were the only people there. Location is kind of stale in terms of ambiance, but the beer is good and cold. Will visit again this vacation I am sure.”

“We love this place! The staff is so friendly, the food is great, and the bakery is awesome! My husband loves the chicken fried steak but I highly recommend either the avacado toast or the roasted vegetables with polenta. Don't leave without trying the olallieberry cream puff, yum!”

“We cannot say enough good things about Indigo Moon. We were in Cambria celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. We have lived all over the world and eaten our way around the world. This is literally some the best food we’ve ever had. The lobster bisque was phenomenal. We had the fish special, which was epic. And the portions are huge.”
