“I had the Seafood Sampler and my wife had the Clam Linguini. The seafood was cooked to perfection. Everything was super tender and fresh tasting. The Shrimp Cocktail was awesome. Also very fresh tasting and not overcooked. Killer cocktail sauce. The Creme Brulee and Lemon cheesecake are to die for.”
“What a treat to have a great restaurant at the hotel you’re staying at. David, our server was exceptional, along with the food, then add in the ocean view made the dining ”
“Spent the night in San Simeon and arrived to check in for our hotel at 8:45 pm. Apparently, most places here closes at 9 pm. And sure enough everyone has a closed sign on their window. Saw this place with a few people still inside and decided to pop my head at their door and said "will you please serve us some food". Ha ha ha. I practically begged them and the guy running the place said "I'll take care of you. Come on in". At this point we didn't care what kind of food was left we just wanted to eat. What a great treat that we had some fantastic food. The chicken pesto pasta was nice and creamy. The seafood Cajun pasta had just enough bite in it. Food came out nice and hot and didn't feel or taste like it was rushed. The host and the staff was very accommodating. I truly appreciate the hospitality and thank you so much for feeding a couple of starving travelers.”
“The vegetarian sandwich with sun dried tomato hummus pesto and avocado was delicious! I want to recreate it! The multi grain ciabatta was so good! Our family loved it and will definitely return! Peaceful outside seating too.”
“I'm surprised by the low reviews of this restaurant .... this place is fantastic! We came here for dinner after an 8 mile long hike in the Big Sur wilderness and were blessed with a fresh, hearty meal. Let's start with the atmosphere! The entire restaurant is covered in glass, so the breathtaking views of ragged point - the foamy ocean waves, the precipitous sea cliffs, the golden bluffs of the Silver Peak Wilderness - hit you from all directions. The service was very good. Our waiter took our order right away and our food was brought out soon after. Saving the best for last ... the food was FIRE! I got the chicken achiote. The chicken was perfectly tender and the risotto was delightfully creamy. My mom got the fish & chips and thought they were delectable. The halibut was extremely juicy and the fries were warm, crispy and not at all greasy! What really impressed us was how fresh our food was. After a long, exhausting hike, our meal at Ragged Point Restaurant was a welcoming and nourishing end to our day. We 100% recommend this restaurant for any occasion!”
“The food here was really good! Especially the refried beans, they're much better than other Mexican restaurants! Try the chile Verde chimichanga!Parking: Lots of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair friendly!”
“My husband and I had an incredible dinner at Brydge during our weekend in Cambria. The food was absolutely phenomenal. We could tell there was so much intentionality put into every dish. The prime ribeye was cooked and seasoned perfectly. May be one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. An absolute pleasure to eat. All of the small plate appetizers were delicious too! We particularly loved the beet salad and the pork meatballs. Not only was the food amazing but the ambiance was one of a kind as well. The restaurant, situated in an historic home, is simple yet very homey and cozy. Our waiter, Declan, was very attentive and provided fantastic service through our meal! This restaurant is a must for anyone stopping in beautiful Cambria!”
“Bono’s tacos and the BBQ at the Farmers Market are probably the best food options in Cambria, and my wife and I go to Cambria twice a year (for the last 20 years). Love the Sows Ear, love Madeline’s, but Boni’s is up there with them both.I’m a Neanderthal that grew up in the 1970s, but I have to say, fly that rainbow flag proudly, you rule!!!All love to Boni’s!”
“My husband and I had a most delectable lunch at The Spot!!!!I had a turkey bacon avocado GF tortilla and my husband had a Caesar salad with amazing chicken hominy soup!!The man who served us was courteous and delightful! We sat outside in the back, absolutely loved this restaurant!!”
“Fantastic as always. Wine is delicious, atmosphere is welcoming and fun and Andy is the BEST. Love being a member and will continue to visit and support this wonderful place for years to come ❤️”
“Cozy coffee shop in down town Cambria. Seriously one of the best Matcha Lattes I have ever had! The apple coffee cake is a must have. The barista is the real gem of this coffee shop. She is so friendly and pleasant. Mojo's has officially become our coffee spot in Cambria”
“Pleasant, but could use some improvement. We ordered a goat cheese tart as an appetizer, and then the fettuccine with shrimp and the New York strip steak as entrees. The goat cheese tart was interesting and tasteful. The steak dish overall was great with a flavorful wine reduction sauce and properly cooked steak. The fettuccine dish was so-so with a watery sauce, so the pasta and shrimp tasted plain. The ambiance of the restaurant was good, but we were seated next to a frosted window to their kitchen with harsh bright lighting and unappetizing objects in the window. We would recommend they put up a drape in the window to improve the mood for diners outside.”
“The food and service are always wonderful. When we are in the area, we always eat here. I miss the original decor, now there are bikes everywhere. The original decor had more class.”
“Delightful little cafe with delicious offerings and even good coffees. The brunch selection was great for everybody in our party, and the portions were just big enough to be satisfying”
“We stopped in the cute little town of Cambria before heading north to San Fran. This restaurant was delicious and I would highly recommend it. I had the Chicken Shawarma plate and it was really good. My sister had the Falafel plate and ate the whole thing too.The server was very nice but you could tell he was busy as he was the only one for about 4 tables. We highly recommend this restaurant if you end up in this cute area!”
“Impeccable food and service!! I can't say enough you must try the Long Island Duck because it is absolutely to die for!!! I drive almost 6 hours to eat here and it's worth every penny:)”
“The Hidden Kitchen is a cute spot with a good atmosphere, but we found the food to be lacking. We ordered the Cambria Classic and the Weirdos Waffle. I appreciate that they are providing gluten free food and being creative in their offerings, but we didn't find the flavor of the blue corn waffles to be tasty or the pairings between banana, peanut butter, and bacon to be a good match. Additionally, the bacon was limp and unappetizing. Their drip coffee was the worst part, as it had a weak flavor and was watery.”
“Cute and charming cafe tucked away in a beautiful garden.Oat milk cappuccino was phenomenal! Baked goods were scrumptious. Service was top-notch. I'll definitely be back :)”
“Ordered the Carnitas Torta, first off, this was not a "Torta" not like any I have ever had. That being said, it was one of the BEST sandwiches I have ever had. Would definitely recommend, and will be back”
“We love the homemade Ice Cream. Store was closed first time we tried on this trip, so we returned before leaving town...success! So good and new owner very friendly. Store looks great.Parking: Free street parking and no matter where you park, it's a nice walk with lots of shops to gander at before reaching your destination.”
“The service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was cozy. We thought the food was good but lacked flavor. We ordered Devils on Horseback for appetizers. They were wonderful. My husband had the fresh halibut, and I had the shrimp fettuccine. As dessert, we had the molten chocolate cake and the carrot cake. On a scale of 1-10, this meal was about a 7.”
“Nice service we were there early. The food and the crowd picks up later. Nice red wine assortment with view of ocean while tasting. Food menu limited until after 3:30”
“We got two wonderful orders of enchiladas Verdes con pollo or chicken enchiladas with green sauce to go last night. We like their real specialty margaritas on the rocks. No frozen. Not blended. But wanted a lazy night at home. We recommend these enchiladas! Always good salsa with a little kick.”
“Cute cafe is separate from the restaurant which is close by. Along with limited food & desserts, it's a gift shop. I took a slice of raspberry rhubarb pie to go. It was really good. ? ? I also got the meatloaf dinner which came with mashed potatoes.”
“Excellent service. Charming staff. Great breakfasts. Fluffy, perfect pancakes, crispy ho.e fries, and perfect Benedict. Coffee, too. Outdoor seating and plenty of parking.”
“Came here on a trip up the coast and had a great experience. Stopped by and got a beer and charcuterie board. They have a good selection of beers. Chris was an amazing server, extremely attentive, made us feel very welcome and made great conversation with us. I would definitely come back next time I'm in the area.”
“Dirk (owner & winemaker) of Absolution Cellars in Morro Bay brought my husband and I here this past weekend. We knew we were going to be in for some delicious wine because winemakers ALWAYS know the good places to go, but what we didn't know was we were going to receive amazing customer service along with fun wine education that we loved! Reyna was the most amazing host and she was so knowledgeable about each wine! I loved that she was willing to teach us about their delicious riesling and pinor noirs (but she was also willing to not over talk had we been the type to want to sit by ourselves)! I learned alot from Reyna! Their Riesling was the best I've ever had! So good, very well balanced and only a little sweet. Their chardonnay was not oakey, which made it delicious for me! 1 pinot was "lighter" while the other was more full bodied. Both were absolutely delicious! My pinot loving husband bought the fuller bodied pinot because it was so delicious. The zinfandel was amazing and not jammy which we prefer! We were fortunate to do the cheese pairing and they use cheese from Viviant cheese in paso robles which made me so happy! And they sell the cheese too! We left with 2 bottles of wine and cheese and can't wait to go back!! Always trust another winemakers recommendation, they know where the good wines are!!”
“The coffee here is delicious! Especially the pour over, it’s top notch. The baristas were very knowledgeable and helpful. I always stop here when I’m in town.??”
“We stopped in for a quick beer and a burger. I know it's a pizza place and a burger? And I will admit the pizza pies looked pretty darn good. But My "Marion Davies" mushroom burger was spot on. And perfectly fried onion rings on the side was a perfect match. I enjoyed my burger at a pizza place and I'd do it again. Nice spot to try, give it a try. Cheers”
