“My wife and I eat at Ciccia’s regularly but this is our first review after 4 years. Sorry Francesca and Mario! (In my defense I practically never ever write a review.) We keep coming back for the food, ambiance and hospitality. **We’ve gone 3 times in the last week! The crab gnocchi is my wife’s favorite. I get something different almost every time. Every visit I ask Mario about the specials as I like to sample the beef and/or fish (Branzino!) they prepare in addition to pasta. Try the Tomahawk steak if it’s a special that day (call ahead) and you will be amazed. Too many times we fill up on appetizers like mushroom flan, breaded zucchini, calamari, antipasto, and the choices go on! But that’s what to-go containers are for. So much good food to eat at Ciccias we tend to order too many things. It is simply fun to dine there. Once you’re inside the restaurant area (patio area or indoor area) the ambiance is quaint and cozy. Ciccia’s is not big and it’s always filled, but we never feel like it’s too crowded. The energy is always fun and upbeat. Which makes people stay awhile, so let me recommend getting reservations. We’ve had to wait 10-15 minutes but nothing’s perfect! If you want a breezy quick dinner before going off to an event you may want to go to Ciccia’s on another night. Hospitality is what you would expect of a small Italian restaurant run by the owners. Terrific!! If it’s your first time, read their story on the website before you go. They are bona fide top chefs who followed their dreams to open their own place. What a gem it is tucked inside Barrio Logan. One thing regulars may notice is that staff doesn’t appear to turn over much as I’ve seen the same faces working there for years. I think that reflects well on the restaurant. I don’t take pictures of food very often but last night I did. We stopped by at around 9 just to get dessert and a cocktail. My wife had the ricotta cake with apricot and habanero sauce (wow!) and I had cassata siciliana which is traditional cake from Sicily. Pretty to look at and yes, it’s delicious. They do a good job with making an Old Fashioned, which always pairs well with dessert 😜 Buon appetito!“

My boyfriend and I are dumpling lovers but have to travel 20+ mins to go to Convoy St and satisfy our dumpling cravings but after some googling around I found this gem! I love it so much I took the time to write this review lol. Dumplings and wontons are amazing! Pleeeease get the wonton soup and chilli wonton my two favorite!!!! TOP NOTCH! Soup dumpling and pork dumpling amazing and to finish off, the sweet golden buns ?? yuuuuum! The servers are always very nice and attentive and service is fast. we always leave with a smile and are so happy to have a place we can go for dumplings so close to us now! “Went there today! Ordered the #6 Samoan corn beef which it wasn’t more like Libby’s can brand! Can tell your difference. It was so dry and little to no onions. So disappointing.. ordered 3 containers of poke and it was all packed in a flimsy, cheap plastic bag. It broke underneath the bag grabbing it from the handle picking it up from the car floor. Thankfully and luckily the containers of poke didn’t open, that smell would not have been great at all! The poke was great closest thing we have here in SD compared to back home in Hawaii. Would not recommend the #6 but poke yes!“

“This is the best Chinese food I've ever had in my life thus far. I am a vegan and I love their salt and pepper tofu and orange tofu with vegetable fried rice and sauteed green beans. I would recommend this restaurant to Jesus himself! PAY THEM A VISIT!! For those who aren't vegan I would urge you to get the salt and pepper wings. Watching them transition from kitchen to customers tables is tantalizing!“

“We went here for the first time yesterday for lunch. The line was out the door, which meant it had to be tasty! We ordered pork adobo, chicken teriyaki, pancit, and lumpia. They gave us two free cups of soup too! Oh my goodness was this food heavenly! The servings were enormous! The pork melted in my mouth. The teriyaki was so tender. The lumpia was divine and the pancit was amazing (I had never tried pancit before). The servers were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. I most definitely will return and I encourage everyone to eat here.“
