“Simply delicious—the flavor and variety of the pizzas are spectacular. The crust is thin and delicious, just like in Italy. I highly recommend the garlic bread; it’s like a slice of heaven. Plus, they offer gluten-free pizzas, which meant my nephew visiting from Argentina could eat happily. We really enjoyed dining here with my family from Argentina; it is highly recommended and a place to return to again and again whenever you visit Carmel.“

“I wanted to write the perfect review but I won't be able to do that. The people there were so nice and so warm. The location is in an old house in historic downtown Pacific Grove. But I can't let this go, the prices were high (as expected) and then they did the old trick of, "Did you want chorizo with that"....without telling you it's a $6 upcharge for two teaspoons added on top of your $17 plate of chiliquilies. So for $23, you get a full plate, I mean piled high of tortilla chips covered in a homemade red sauce (delicious). A table or teaspoonful of queso fresco per the recipe (delicious), two fried eggs, and sour cream on the side, (awesome). Most recipes for this dish that I've eaten will offer a choice of protein. Chorizo is a very common breakfast protein for this recipe. I would argue that it should be part of the recipe regardless but if you ask people, "Do you want chorizo on that?", many will say yes for the reasons I mentioned above. But when the bill comes watch out. It was a $6 upcharge to my $17 choice of breakfast. If it's an upcharge you have to tell me in advance. "Do I want it?", is one question. "Do I want it for the price you will charge me?", has to be a separate question. If it's some amount that high, an extra 1/3 of the price of my breakfast, then you shoudl feel extremely obligated to tell me how much. Don't make me feel like an a-hole bringing up your sketchy business upcharge practices to you in the middle of a super-packed breakfast/brunch rush when you hand me the bill. I didn't bring it up but I wanted to, very badly. As good as the meal was the experience left a bad taste in my mouth and more than a week later I'm still shaking my head about it. For a place that thrives on tourist and word-of-mouth business, there's no reason for this type of shady business antics which leads someone like me who otherwise really enjoyed this place to go to the trouble of leaving a bad review. I probably won't go back due to this.“

“Stopped in for lunch after wine tasting next door and we were not disappointed. The food is amazing and the service was fast and pleasant. I would've preferred we were seated at a table first (instead of the bar) or asked to wait for table. We ended up being seated at the bar and then offered a table 10 minutes after and had to move all of our drinks and food. Other than that, amazing experience and we will definitely return when we visit Carmel again.“

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing service and amazing food! We absolutely loved our meal at Il Tegamino in Carmel-by-the-Sea. I had the gnocchi, and I cannot say enough about how good it was! It was perfectly cooked, so flavorful, and had cheese, cheese, and more cheese in the best possible way. 😋 Rich and delicious without being too much. I would absolutely order it again! My niece had the linguine pescatore, which was also delicious. We normally don't like pasta dishes that are too soupy or have so much sauce that the pasta ends up drowning in it, but this one was perfect. The amount of sauce was just right, and all the seafood tasted incredibly fresh. Everything together gave the dish this slightly sweet, fresh seafood flavor that we really loved. And I have to mention that gnocchi one more time because it really was THAT good! 😂 Definitely one of the highlights of the meal. We finished with the tiramisu, which was another surprise. So delicious, with this wonderful little crunchy topping that added a really nice texture. Great food, wonderful service, and a meal we thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end. The position on the wharf is priceless, the stroll to get to the restaurant feels like walking inside a postcard and the big windows in the hall are literally over the sea. We were given a table by the windows and a couple of seals played in the water below us for the whole dinner.
The interior speaks confident elegance without pretention; the service was attentive without being obtrusive; the food was really delicious and the price was more than reasonable for the quality. We were really charmed.“

And the food— had the Italian fish soup dish!!! Lots of fish and the broth was just perfect for dunking freshly baked bread. I know the quality of the food the way I will be treated and the cleanliness of this restaurant. In 4 years I never had a bad meal or something that is wrong. “We were visiting Carmel by the sea and couldn’t find a restaurant in the area with less than an hour wait. We found CPK and it did not disappoint! We had 3 pizzas (BBQ, Margherita & pepperoni) and the Chicken Piccata. Everything tasted great but my favorite was the BBQ pizza. The brisket & sweet BBQ was very tasty! We also ordered the churro swirl dessert and it was very tasty! Our server did take a little while to greet us & take our drink order and we had to ask for refills a couple of times but overall, she was friendly and helpful“
