“We were hungry and this was close with a good review. Come here if you are looking for something different than the regular Mexican fare. Pretty much everything on the menu is a unique blend of flavors. They feature three different mole sauces which were all good. I had the trabajo with my dish which had delicious flavor. So if you are looking for an adventure it's a good pick.“

“Delicious fish and chips made fresh per order. I ordered the original fish and chips which came with 2 large pieces of cod fish with crispy hot beer batter that came with seasoned fries. They are not stingy with their portions and got really full with this order. “First timer here. The food was good. The fish was fried to perfection, and the portiin size was great. The fish was larger than I had anticipated. The fries were OK ( only because the fish was put on top of it so by the time I went to eat the fries, they were soggy from the Fish). The Cole slaw was delicious.
My kids ordered the chicken strip and I liked that it was battered and fried exactly like thr Fish. Loved the crunch. My only complaint is that it taste like it was fried in the same oil as the fish so the kids said their chicken taste like fish.
The restaurant was not well ventilated. The AC was cranked (I'm assuming for the cooks since I can only imagine that the fryers would get very hot). Unfortunately because the AC was blasting....as a patron, it felt REALLY COLD.
Also, i wish they had a way to vent out the fried food smell. The fried fish smell is very strong when you first step into the restaurant. Obviously over time, you get used to the smell but if they can figure out a good way to air out the place, that would be great.
The guy cooking was extremely fast and efficient..he was the only worker in there and he was knocking out orders left and right.
I would eat here again for sure.
If you are looking for Fish and Chips ... I would definitely give this place a try .

Vegetarian options: I THINK (i don't know for sure) that they fry their onion rings, French fries, and zucchinis in the same oil as their fish,other seafood and chicken so I'm not sure how "vegetarian" that would be.

You might convince yourself the near $30 price tag at places like santa monica seafood would give you better fish and chips but it's not the case. the batter here is crispy and much more delicate. not heavy and greasy like the beer battered options. I paid $12 for 3 giant pieces of fish. the value is fantastic and the quality is good. only complaints are that the inside can use a thorough dusting (don't look at the fan) and that the fries have potential to be a lot better. tbh if the fries resembled something closer to European chips I would pay another $10 for this plate happily.“

“You'd never expect the food here if you never went in. Fish, rice, beans, tortillas is perfect to make 4 tacos with spicy salsa. The fish is quality fish n fried perfectly every time. I've tried the friend zucchini n it's perfectly just sliced n breaded too.“

“This fast service restaurant has the best fries in Knott's--crinkle cut and fresh! Right now they are serving Hot Dogs and they have several types to choose from. We have liked all of them so far. This summer they are also having a weekly special, which is always good to have something new to try at each visit to Knotts!

“The selection of food was good and prices were excellent for sea food. We had the fish and chips, the portions were good, the only complaint I had was my fish was a little over cooked, the wife's was perfect. They serve a tropical cold slaw that was bomb. The service was super fast but they weren't very busy also. It's a real casual place and the deco really relaxes a person Hawaii, surfer type with large screen tvs playing some great surfing videos of guys shooting the tube and riding MONSTER waves. All in all a real good place to eat sea food for a fare price.“

“i recently had a delightful visit to california fish grill, and i must say the service provided by Mariam and Karla made my experience very good. Mariam and Karla were very polite and patient with me and i appreciate themand their service.their professionalism and friendly demeanor stood out, especially when compared to the other female cashiers who seemed disengaged and unhelpful. While Mariam and Karla were busy assisting customers and ensuring everything ran smoothly, the other cashiers appeared to be just sitting around, not engaging with customers or assisting their colleagues, and i have noticed that with the few times i’ve went in there.despite this, Mariam and Karla's outstanding service more than made up for it. They are a credit to California fish grill, and i will definitely be returning again because of the exceptional service they provided. i would like to thank Mariam and Karla for making my visit very enjoyable.the food here as absolutely wonderful and honestly, i haven’t had something this good since forever so also credits to the chef.“
