“These are hands down the best carnitas tacos in Santa Cruz. No question. I don’t want to hear any debate. The carnitas were crackly/crispy on the outside and soft/tender on the inside. The quality here is leagues above everything else in Santa Cruz. This place is better than pretty much anything you will find in the South Bay as well which is saying a lot.“

“We came in on a Sunday morning, and this place was very busy. The nice young guy behind the counter was patient and sweet to everybody even though he was working alone and getting slammed. The food was good and the coffee was hot. Props to that guy for holding it down!“

“I haven't had Five Guys in over 13 years. The first time I tried Five Guys was in Sacramento and I absolutely hated it! But this location in Santa Cruz hit the spot! The cheeseburger was cooked perfectly and the grilled onions, fresh tomatoes, lettuce and pickles were great additions that complimented the burger very well. Way better than The Habit! We ordered online/delivery and there was a special buy one cheeseburger get one free. You can't beat that! I highly recommend this Five Guys.“

“I’ve never seen a team work so flawlessly on a line with an incredibly positive attitude. This specific location is always overflowing on nights and weekends. I feel a bit bad for the staff, the location is so small. Orders end up taking 20-30 mins due to the way this location was designed- no fault of the team at all. They burn through tickets one after another smoothly while hordes of college kids place multiple orders. They are never short with customers asking questions or for extra help.
Mad props to these guys, they’re so cheerful and kind. Give these guys a raise!“

“Food pricing is gotten out of budget. Tried to alert them that their bathroom is out of compliance and they didn't seem to understand. The food was good and hot. They weren't going to give me any numbers to call for it so I will be forcer to seek further action thru the courts“

“Love this place, I mostly order through the App and go on my lunch break. Amazing customer service, if I send in my sandwich order but then get busy at work and can't make it by the time the sandwich is ready, I'll call to let them know. No call centers! No AI helper running everything! YOU GET TO TALK TO SOMEONE IN THE STORE which is revolutionary in this day and age, and they're always kind and offer ways to keep my sandwich fresh until I'm able to get there. Thank you Nico!“

“My family and I recently went to the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk and we ate lunch here. I had a corn dog and a few garlic fries! Both were delicious but if you don’t like a lot of garlic I would recommend not to order the garlic fries because they are loaded with garlic! Garlic lovers will find them perfect for a snack though!

“We only started eating at McDonalds about a year ago when we were traveling. Over that time, one of the things we have noticed is the food is fairly consistent in quality and taste. So, what sets one McDonalds apart from another one? The customer service!

We found the employees here, to be very nice! At a lot of McDonalds, they try to avoid taking your order and point you to a kiosk. Not at this one! When we walked in, there was someone who came over to the register and asked us what we would like. Quite refreshing!

Also, they were really busy, and the empty tables were dirty. So, we went over and asked for a towel to clean one, and the employee (we think the manager) came right over and cleaned it for us. They also went and cleaned others tables after ours, which we didn't expect.

Overall, the food is what you would expect from a McDonalds, but the service is great“
