The shop was clean, had plenty of space to relax or get some work done, and the drinks were delicious. We ordered the banana cream cold brew and the honey lavender latte, both were so good! Customer service was okay, but the drinks definitely made up for it. Glad we found this place!“

“My girlfriends and I were looking for a good brunch spot and ended up finding this hidden gem in Huntington Park. From the moment we saw the menu and photos, everything looked amazing — we honestly wanted to try everything! So we decided to order a few different dishes and share.

We ordered the chicken and waffles, a chilaquiles plate, and the French toast combo, and every dish was delicious.

The chicken and waffles were fantastic. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, served on top of a waffle that was just the right size. There was actually enough chicken for the three of us to share.

The French toast combo came with breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs, and beef bacon. Everything was flavorful and again, the portion was generous enough for us all to enjoy.

But the star of the table for me was the chilaquiles. The tortillas were coated in a delicious sauce and mixed with eggs, creating the perfect balance — not too soggy and not too crunchy. They had just the right crispness. The dish was served with refried beans, queso seco, sour cream, and a spicy sauce on the side that added the perfect kick.

We truly enjoyed every bite of our brunch. This place is a hidden gem, and I will definitely be coming back!“

“Padekwa lives up to its name—“you are welcome”—from the moment you walk in. I was greeted right away and made to feel comfortable, which set the tone for the whole experience.

I tried their specialty Creole latte, my girlfriend tried the tiramisu latte and it was incredible—easily one of the most unique and enjoyable drinks I’ve had in a while. The space itself is beautiful, filled with amazing art, and you can tell it’s more than just a café. They host a variety of events, which adds to the overall energy and sense of community.

Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.“

“I tell everybody about this place. Hands down the best cheesecake EVER!!! We have been getting cheesecake from Doll Babee for about two years now. Anytime we are in Long Beach we get slices. My favorites are cookies and cream, strawberry crunch and peach cobbler. I had a slice of strawberry crunch last night and I am already thinking of when I’m going to get my next slice. “I stumbled upon this place while driving from LA to Las Vegas and searching for breakfast. We came all the way from Maryland for my birthday weekend, and this has been the best food we’ve had so far on our trip. Everything was amazing—from the coffee to the buttered bread served at the table. You can really see and taste the homemade care put into every dish.

I had the home fries, and you could tell they were hand-cut from thinly sliced potatoes. My friend ordered the veggie omelet—my God, it was so good. I had the pork chops with home fries and eggs, and wow… if only you could taste this plate. Don’t skip the homemade salsa they bring to the table—absolutely incredible.
