“With my wedding just a month away, I’ve been having so much fun preparing the menu and exploring different restaurants to create a beautiful variety of flavors and nationalities for our reception. I sampled chicken from four different spots around Los Angeles—each one had something going for it, but none felt quite right for our big day. One was a bit dry, another a little too crispy, and another slightly too salty.
Just when I was considering renting a large barbecue grill and cooking the chicken myself, a friend suggested I try this restaurant. It’s a true hole-in-the-wall spot tucked along a very busy street—exactly the kind of hidden gem you might overlook. In fact, on the day I stopped by, there were multiple emergency vehicles less than a block away. That might make some people hesitate, but I decided to trust the recommendation and give it a try.
I ordered the half chicken meal—and I’m so glad I did! It was absolutely delicious. The flavor, tenderness, and seasoning were spot on. Even my son agreed, and he hadn’t liked any of the other chicken options I brought home for him to taste.
In the end, the incredible taste made it completely worth stepping a little outside my comfort zone. Without a doubt, this is the chicken we’ll be serving at our wedding reception. I’m so happy to have found the perfect place!“

The beef had a decent flavor, though the filling was a bit uneven at times, and the chicken avocado was pleasant but didn’t stand out. The apple empanada was sweet and cinnamon-y, but a little dry on the edges. The crust is flaky and crisp, which is nice, but some fillings felt a bit sparse compared with the price.

Ordering is fast since it’s mainly takeout from a window, but that means there’s no real indoor dining vibe. There is a bench nearby and some space to stand, but no proper outdoor seating.

Service was friendly enough, though it didn’t feel especially personal. Parking is metered on the street and can fill up during busier times. Kids could enjoy the smaller portions, but with the lack of seating it’s better for quick bites than sit-down meals. “The food is good, the service not so much is terrible to be precise I tried ordering on the phone, I was told to wait whoever answered the phone just put the phone down I can hear them talk in the background and she was arguing with one of the customers who wanted to make a change in his order that he had not paid for yet, she claimed that she had already posted his order and could not make any changes, as this maybe understandable her demeanor was so unprofessional she was being rude, to end it here my order over the phone was never taken after waiting for 5 mim they simply hanged up, this isn’t the first time that this has happened to me. Even if you order online when you go to pick up your order they’ll ignore.“
