“Friends and I staying near here popped in for a quick drink on a Friday night (7pm) and had no issue finding a spot at the bar. Our drink orders were taken quickly and the atmosphere is really chill. I really enjoy the low warm lighting and wood look. I'm writing a review because my drink was DELICIOUS! I enjoy sweet flavorful drinks and the Pleasure Palace was a party for my tongue! Great dopamine hit, I highly suggest!

“Was trying to find a place to watch the NBA finals with all of the Word Cup action going on. Bars in North Beach were jam packed and miserable to try and enjoy the games. Standing room only. Found Tony Nik's and happened to see two open chairs at the bar. Bar tender was great. He mixed us up some drinks he hadn't heard of (Batanga) and they were good. Met some cool folks that came in for a few drinks. Don't believe they had any food in there as we saw no menus or anyone eating. Probably just a good ole watering hole. Would definitely return.“

“I came for the Silent Book Club. It seems to be a nice place. I didn't order anything at this visit. We were in a room in the back and were given water and small snacks. The bar seems to be a place with a bit of an intellectual vibe and seems inviting. Maybe it would be nice to return for some of its offerings.“

“I quit drinking before the judge ordered me to—how is that for initiative? Since that last call, no bar has captured my attention. Nor have I returned to any of the bars I enjoyed around here. I’m from the east coast—a pub near a rail station which draws a crowd free of pretense is proper nurture. Glen Park Station is welcoming, comfortable, fun, and built for a night done right.

There are non-alcoholic brews for those who abstain, shot-and-a-beer specials for $12.00, wine by the glass, and an indoor smoking lounge. A pinball machine which takes dollar bills. Darts. Superior bar stools. Table seating up front. A rear patio. No Apple Pay.The bar has neighboring businesses which serve food. One can find Vietnamese, Thai, and Mexican fare within a block. The bodega sits across from BART, on the same side of Diamond St. A pizza place is in proximity. This area has a low-key dominance about it. A great spot for socializing, a walkable pocket of the city wherein small businesses sling good eats, and you have the option to get hammered.

Parking is available in the public library lot after 6, 7, 8PM during the week. Street parking on the northbound lane of Bosworth between Arlington & Diamond is free in the evenings. I am not sure when the meters stop accepting payment-I pulled up at 7:30PM on a Monday.

To those behind the wheel—be advised—residential streets intersect as sharp turns become sudden hills. At all hours there are pedestrians, cyclists, and coyotes. SFPD often posts a patrol vehicle on Bosworth (south of the Arlington intersection) to eyeball the I-280 south on-ramp.“

“If you're looking for a cold beer & chill time in Marina, look no further than Sully's Marina Lounge.
We were staying just a block away & I'd already identified it as a possible for our post tour/early evening drinks. We went first night & immediately loved it.
It's a simple, unpretentious place with a long bar & a pool table at the back. Definitely a Dive Bar & comfortable in its role. Super cool music posters fill the back area.
Limited draught beer selection, only 4 or 5 taps, but it did include Racer 5 IPA which was my favourite, & Modelo, my wife's preference. No food available.
What makes Sully's special is the staff, we visited every day for the 4 days we were in town & met Greeny, Mike 'cha', & Kasey. All super friendly & very welcoming.
Sully's became our 'home from home' throughout our stay, post tour or pre dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our visits & would reccomended unreservedly. Thanks guys 😎🍻💪“

“I absolutely love this place. I read some of the low reviews because I couldn’t believe there were some. Yes, the price is high but that’s most bars in the city. And yes, it can take a while to order but that’s because every drink is crafted and presented with care. This place has some of the most unique drinks I’ve ever had. They are always changing up the menu and doing some fun pop up’s and themes. Customer service is exceptional, especially Leo. I love that it is not easy to find and that you have to know the password.“

“My visit to Novela was such a great experience! The layout is warm, inviting, and sexy. The sofas, library books, chopped wood, and comfortable chairs create such a unique atmosphere.

The staff was very friendly, and the punch flight was delicious. I really enjoyed the Caesar salad, although the crispy chicken sliders were a little too crispy for my taste. I would have preferred the chicken to be softer and more moist.

The live jazz band was the perfect touch and created a relaxed, laid-back mood. Overall, Novela has a great vibe, good drinks, and a beautiful atmosphere. I’d definitely visit again!“

“Had never heard of the place and decided to take a chance on it during SF restaurant week. The food was good, but the delivery of service was very slow. There were only 8 other patrons and half were already half way through their lunch. It took 20 mins for the 1 appetizer to come out which was 1 small personal piece of focaccia.“

“I could not have enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Regency SF more than I did. Exceptional friendly staff and the room I had at the top of the world with a world class view of the Bay , stunning. . . . Not inexpensive but if you can afford a room here with a water view, , do not hesitate. Ferry building across the street is fun to browse and the boardwalk wonderfully walkable/runable.“

“There's more to this hotel-lobby bar than first meets the eye. A bit minimal at the ground level, with space for maybe only about 40-50 people at most (if crowded), it has a fantastic bar staff. We were here for a private event and got to explore some of the wilder cocktails, and even had one the bartender invented on the spot (bourbon, Aztec chocolate bitters, and some other things I missed seeing, garnished with a slip of lemon peel -- elegant and delightful). Upstairs there are several games, including a fun game where you can drop soccer balls into a gigantic version of the old handheld peg game where the pegs cause the ball to fall randomly into one of several scored containers at the floor below. (Completely safe for those mingling underneath unless someone is really stupid or malevolent.) A fun place to go if you want some more upbeat fun after eating next door at the Cavalier.“

I usually come because the bar is empty at nights and I can bring a large group without worry of the place being too full but sometimes the bouncers will try to charge cover when the place is maybe at 5-10% capacity and I’m about to bring in 15 people all ready to buy shots. Not sure what kind of instruction they’re receiving but if Rockwell is empty and still charging cover there’s so many better bars nearby they’ll lose business to“

“We had our last night at #Dreamforce Last night, and it was a great venue to relax and chill after a busy week at Dreamforce. Loved the staff, who made everything run smooth. They even had a coat/bag check, which was great to drop off those heavy backpacks that we’d all been carrying around all week. Highly recommend this venue for your corporate events!“
