“Bright, airy restaurant that is larger inside than appears from outside. Plenty of parking in the shopping center lot, although you may have to walk a bit when all of the eating places are crowded. Typical SoCal ordering set-up with menu board above the order station. Make your choices, pay, find a table, and wait for your order. You can get your self-serve drink and condiments while you're waiting. Service is generally good with some enthusiastic staff. Food is very good. We shared a chicken schwarma plate with hummus and pita. We added on sides of another hummus and pita. Note that hummus and pita count as 2 sides here. The hummus was good and generous. The pita was grilled and was that lovely fluffy Greek style pita. The schwarma was tender, tasty, juicy, and covered in drippings. I wasn't into spicy, so I got the OG garlic sauce. Deliciously subtle. Prices are reasonable for these days. I noticed another store closer to where we live. Good to know.“

All employees are nice and friendly, but the owner is an amazing human being, so humble and approachable, honest and relatable, love chatting with him every time we visit Cali, which is usually 2-3 times a year and we make sure we eat lunch and dinner at Sofra Urbana every day. “AMAZING Mediteranean food!! If we lived near here, we would dine at Georgie's often! The steak and chicken kebab as well as the shrimp were perfectly seasoned and cooked! As a delicious accent our family feasted on tasty rice, Mediterranean salad, cucumber yogurt salad, and grape leaf rolls. To top off a wonderful meal, we ordered their walnut baklava...WOW! The portions are so big and there was so much rice we didn't need the additional rice but it was so tasty so we didn't mind it. Even with the current economy and the price going up everywhere, this is one of the more affordable restaurants to feed my family of four.“

“The guys are so nice, professional and have wonderful customer service! I ordered a rice bowl not realizing that there was sauce included on it. I get violently ill with cream based condiments/sauces and cannot do white sauce at all. I was asked if I wanted sauce (knowing now they meant extra) and I animatedly said, no. Thinking the rice bowl would have no sauce.

Unfortunately, when I got my order it was covered in Tahini sauce. They made the order as normal, I just thought when I was asked for sauce there was no other sauce coming on it. I honestly was thinking I would just trash the top part that was covered and go on with my night. BUTTTT, they made me a new one without sauce. This is why Yalla's truck gets 5 stars from me. “Went to the mall to do some last minute shopping and my husband came meet me to go to lunch. We were going to go for sushi but he needs the restroom so we walked to the food court to use the restroom when I saw one of the last few restaurants still open in the food court and we decided to go with Mr Shawarma as it smelt so GOOD. The lady behind the counter was very nice. We both ordered the beef kabobs with the hummus and pita bread. The plate came with a bed of rice which the kabobs were on the fresh hummus and a fresh salad grilled tomato and grilled onion. Everything was fresh and so flavorful. The price is not too bad specially when it cost almost $15 at McDonalds for a combo now“

“Tried out your Cerritos location, I lived in LA almost 3years and food especially the kebab wrap was the best by far and I have tried different kebab place’s before in LA. One of the best Kebab place in America, the lamb was moist and very tasty with great flavors, the combination of the hummus, salad, fries combined with the lamb was delicious, the fresh flat bread was soft and crispy on the outside. Add the garlic yogurt sauce wow your tastebuds explodes in your mouth, the food was very lite and not heavy like most kebab place so they got the right balance by using the flat bread and not pita bread that most place use on the wrap Well done this place remind me of a place back home in New Zealand. I give The Kebab shop in Cerritos 10/10 Highly Recommend this place to my friends and family and different locations in America. Will go again and try something different on the menu.“

Recently after relocating to Huntington Beach I ate at the local Zankou on Beach Boulevard a couple of times in early 2024 and was pleased with the food. However, this last time, December 2924, after they have changed their menu options with more to choose from, the beef Shawarma did not taste nearly as good, and the garlic sauce seemed to be several days old.
