“So so glad to have found this spot! The udon noodles with pork belly, soft boiled egg in the tonkotsu broth is a comfort food I have been yet to find around here, have only known of one place in New York to use udon noodles instead of ramen and it is my absolute FAVORITE. The broth here is so rich and flavorful and the noodles are chewy and comforting. Tempura has the perfect crunch and even holds up to be delicious as left overs the next day which I have never known tempura to be able to do. They give generous portions of everything, was especially surprised by how many pot stickers where in an order and also very yummy. Hot sauce is unique and delicious with the perfect kick for spicy lovers. People working there are nice as can be, place was clean and service was lightening fast. Ordered a TON of food and it was all ready in 15 minutes flat. Over all really really delighted to have found this place. Will definitely be my go to comfort food from now on. Thank you Ippinn for a most delicious meal!“

“Been a 10 year follower of owner Billy and his sushi creations! He set the bar high so when I moved to St. Petersburg, FL I have yet to meet his equal! His place is a must stop whenever I come back to Sonoma County.“

“As bad as it sounds I didn’t want to write this review…. Part of me wanted to be selfish and keep this place under wraps! But real foodie girls aren’t gatekeeping in 2023 so here goes nothin…. This place is a hidden gem! Nestled in a shopping center between Motel 6, Dollar Tree and Jack in the Box who would have thought this unassuming Sushi joint would be serving the BEST sushi you or I will ever eat. The Pink Lady Roll is my absolute favorite. It has crab salad wrapped in salmon and topped with scallop and lemon. Melt in your mouth! Couldn’t get enough of this stuff. I always get the Geisha Roll as well. No rice roll with tuna, avocado, yellow tail, crab salad, wrapped in thinly sliced cucumber. DI-VINE! Their Takoyaki is always a hit, ALWAYS. The Ultimate Hamachi roll is an easy win for anyone that loves yellowtail. We always get their Miso Salmon special if it’s not sold out and it does not disappoint. The Hamachi wings were my son’s favorite this past visit. They are usually sold out but this time we managed to snag the last plate of them! I can’t say enough good things about the food and the service here! The place is super small so they are always packed. Sushiko rivals some of the fancier more well known spots I’ve visited in Northern California *cough* Kru *cough*. I drive 60 miles to eat here and don’t plan on stopping any time soon. The only thing that would make this place better is a larger location so we never run the risk of not getting a table :P.“

“Really outstanding local sushi place. The outside looks quite unassuming, but the inside decor vibe definitely makes up for the fact that it is in a strip mall.
My youngest son enjoys coming here, the sushi is fresh, fast, and delicious.
Today was a quick lunch, so I went with the California spicy roll, and a Sapporo beer to wash it down.
I don't have any real recommendations, everything has been good. To be honest, I enjoy the Nigiri tuna probably the most, which is crazy because I'm not raw fish guy. But this tuna is absolutely delicious.“

“Manager/Owner I think… is always nice and welcoming(amazing hospitality) I’ve been coming here for almost 2 years now and for the first time I asked for extra spicy on my pork bowl. It’s amazing. Not too much where it’s not enjoyable but right in the middle where you want to continue eating.“

“This is really a good restaurant and it’s located on Farmer’s in Santa Rosa, CA. I had originally gone to another restaurant but they were so “full” and I just wanted to get a meal to go and be out of there. I ordered the Shrimp & Chicken Udon Noodles box which consisted of the Udon Noodles, kale, bean sprouts, steamed rice, side salad with cucumbers and tomatoes with a Japanese dressing. A soup with tofu & green onions in a bone beef broth. Also, I order the Jumbo Tempura Shrimp and it came with a teriyaki sauce. A very good meal with large portions. Friendly staff & a clean environment which is very important to me.“

“Small little restaurant with big menu of offerings.
We loved that the restaurant is practically divided in half with one side brightly lit with families and the other dimly lit with couples. Made for an easier, more pleasant dining experience. Our server was very good in making recommendations and filling our order quickly.
Our group enjoyed a bottle of sake, sukiyaki, hamachi kama, vegetarian rolls, miso soup, and steak teriyaki. Everything was in good portions and well prepared. Mochi and ice cream with bananas ended the meal well.
We would definitely recommend eating here.“

“Was encouraged to check out O Sushi when passing through the area. While it is definitely not in a "fancy" location don't let that discourage you. Once inside the environment was great along with the food and service. If ever passing through the area again we would definitely check it out again!“

“We came here on a Friday night around 6pm. There was a few seated tables and no wait for our family of five.
This appears to be a husband and wife shop and probably could use one additional pair of hands. Husband was behind the sushi bar making the rolls and such while the wife takes orders, bus tables, answer phones and serve the food. Have some patience as they can get backed up when it gets busy.
The food was good, typical sushi fair. Fish was fresh and presentation was beautiful.“

“I discovered Shige in February 2025 while heading down to Southern California and had to stop by again this November on my way back up. I’d been looking forward to eating here for the past couple of days while planning my trip—and even more so this morning!
The food is excellent, the atmosphere is small but cozy and inviting, and the service is top-notch. My waitress even remembered me—where I sat and my attitude! Shige made a great impression on me the first time, and an even better one now.
Highly recommend!“

“Have been here many times with my friends and has always been good. I don’t really like sushi but they have other food options like bento boxes, udon, noodle and rice dishes with chicken, steak, and vegis. I usually come in here as a group with a couple of friends. So they can accommodate for groups and the atmosphere is so cool but a little maze like to get to the bathroom. Yeah tho I would recommend the tempura and bento boxes it’s so good. My friends say the sushi and alcohol is also so good too. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area.“

“Paradise Sushi & Grill in Santa Rosa offers a truly memorable dining experience that perfectly blends traditional Japanese cuisine with a unique Spanish twist. Their extensive menu features something for everyone, from sushi aficionados to those exploring Japanese cuisine for the first time.
The menu stands out with its variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and nigiri options, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Some crowd favorites include the Dragon Roll, with its delicate balance of eel, avocado, and sweet sauce, and the Rainbow Roll, showcasing vibrant layers of fresh fish. For those who prefer something warm and hearty, the Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box is a fantastic option, combining tender chicken with perfectly steamed rice and crisp vegetables.
One of the highlights of the menu is their inventive sushi rolls with a subtle Spanish influence. The fusion rolls add a delightful twist, bringing unique flavors that you won’t find at a typical sushi restaurant. A must-try is the Paradise Special Roll, which combines savory and spicy elements in a way that’s both bold and comforting.
The appetizers are equally impressive, with options like Gyoza and Tempura Shrimp setting the stage for a satisfying meal. For those looking for lighter fare, the Seaweed Salad and Miso Soup are classic staples done exceptionally well.
Beyond the food, the experience is elevated by the warm and personable service. The staff is incredibly attentive, and the owner, Juan, often greets guests personally, sharing stories about how he and his four brothers started the restaurant. Their dedication to family values is evident in every aspect of the dining experience. Juan’s enthusiasm and genuine hospitality make every visit feel special, and it’s no surprise that the restaurant now has four thriving locations.
Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a casual meal, Paradise Sushi & Grill delivers on all fronts. The combination of fresh, flavorful dishes, a welcoming atmosphere, and a heartfelt story behind the restaurant’s origins makes it a standout in Santa Rosa. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their incredible offerings, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sushi experience with a unique and personal touch.
