“My Daughter & I had dinner here tonight… the food was PHENOMENAL!!! Great Friendly Service too!! What a treat to sit at the bar & watch everything looking delicious coming out of the kitchen window!!! Thank you for such a great Saturday night treat for an out of town Momma visiting her daughter!! “Had to stop by my favorite Italian grubbin in the heart of Old Town Pasadena all the way from Boise. This was my 3rd time and each time just keeps getting better; definitely the bigger the party, the better. We paid $225 for 4 pasta entrees, 3 appetizers, & 2 glasses of wine for a party of 6. I’ve learned to like my pastas al dente after having them here. The meatballs are banging, the wine-pairing was delightful. Our service was attentive and pleasant; the vibe is always vibrant and homey. Highly recommended.“

“My wife and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary at Barrio in City Terrace last night, and it was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the perfect mood for a special evening.
The food was absolutely incredible—each dish was crafted with care, full of rich flavors, and beautifully presented. Every bite was a delight, and you could truly taste the passion behind the cooking.
The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and made us feel like valued guests. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience.
We will definitely be back and highly recommend Barrio to anyone looking for top-notch Italian cuisine in a cozy, welcoming setting. Thank you for making our anniversary so special!“

“Was super happy with our dinner at Hippo. Every dish was delicious. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower starters had excellent flavors. All the pastas we tried had incredible depth of flavor without being overly heavy or greasy. The hippo rolls and table focaccia were excellent and the chicken thighs were to die for. Only thing that was lackluster was the passion fruit gelato. Fun vibe, lots of seating, and great service!“

“Went here on a Monday for dinner with a friend and omg!! I was blown away by this little hole in the wall. The food was super delicious, and the portions were very generous for the price. I would definitely recommend to anyone, a very authentic Italian restaurant. The entire menu sounded delicious! Our waiter William was very attentive and very friendly and caring. The overall atmosphere is great! I will definitely be back very soon with my family!!“

“The service has been consistent since I started coming here, over 2 months ago. From the management team to the host, and the bussers, you can tell they all love to work there. I have been here a handful of times, and I have a closer OG, but, this one just does the job right! The space was very clean, I was taken care of by my server Freddie? Freddie!?, the food came out good and ready, thank you Freddy, for being my server, you gave me a great and responsive, arguably proactive service“

“Everything about our experience was great! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The menu offered a nice selection of choices. We ordered the lunch special and it was delicious. Beautiful presentation, and in my opinion, we were served a lovely amount of food for a “special.” The service was very good. We do not live in the area but I would definitely make the field trip to eat here again…and bring my friends!“

After coming a good number of times, the hostess and Chef will be like coming over a friend's house for dinner.

“Came into this Olive Garden and was seated very quickly even though it was busy. It did take away to get our order taken, I don't think we were assigned a waiter, but then the lovely manager (I think) came and helped us. We got our food quickly and the service was amazing. I tried the new Calabrian Steak & Shrimp Bucatini and it was delicious. Would definitely order it again.“

“My husband and I were visiting the LA area last week. We walked into Mi Piace - it was Monday, they were open when so many places weren’t. So glad we did. It was fabulous-great food, fair prices and a wonderful server. Try the minestrone. Amazing. Salad was great, too.“

“The best pizza I habe ever had glad I grew up in La Puente. I have overnightes pizza to friends and family in other states from here. Pizza in NY cant touch scardinos and comparing any other pizza to scardinos pizza is extreamly unfair to the other pizza as its in a class of its own. When I was a kid I remember one of the older italian owners at a grocery store complaining to tge manager that the freshness and quality of one of the I'm ingredients was not fresh or quality enough. I dont recall exactly. But I knew when I grew up to own a business I would be that crazy about quality. This is a family own and ran business and I cant express what this place and the food means to our community. We are so very lucky to have them! You have never lived until you have had scardinos pizza or tried one of everything on the menu and I mean this from the bottom of my soul. -SGV“

“Great place to stop and have a bite to eat , they serve beer and absolute kind service, can get busy during the weekend and parking can be difficult, but their is a parking lot across the street for local patrons visiting the village eateries that are here in the area. Great atmosphere with people very courteous, overall a great area to visit .“
