This intimate dining experience is a testament to ingredient-driven, technique-forward cooking, where flavors are both restrained, unpretentious, and deeply expressive. From the first bite, it was clear that Heritage excels at layering textures and flavors in unexpected ways. The meal began with an Amuse Bouche trio: a delicate prawn cracker topped with sweet Dungeness crab, a green leaf with another seafood salad that was to be eaten like a mini street taco, and balanced with the brightness and light crunch of pickled turnip. A seemingly simple couple of bites, but one that foreshadowed the precision and thoughtfulness of the courses to follow. To cleanse the palate, a mint tea infused with palo santo was served—a meditative interlude that was both refreshing and aromatic, setting the stage for the evening’s journey. The first official course, Crème Caviar, featured Russian Sturgeon Heritage Caviar and chive, a chilled preparation that was rich yet elegantly restrained. This was followed by Kanpachi Crudo, presented with carrot, ginger, and macédoine vegetables, offering a balance of clean ocean flavors against bright, vegetal undertones. Then came what I consider the star of the evening: a dish that fully captured the ethos of Heritage—Hen of the Woods Mushroom, topped in a “sunchoke stew” (crispy fried sunchoke) with fermented mushroom. For an additional $25, an indulgent shaving of black truffle took the dish to another level, transforming it into a sensory experience that evoked the deep, earthy satisfaction of foraging. The interplay of umami-rich elements made this course a masterpiece of textural and flavor contrast. The proteins that followed were executed with equal care. First, a perfectly prepared Rainbow Trout, sauted to perfection with a crispy layer of skin on one side, delicate pink flesh on the other, bathed in a delicate dashi and punctuated with bursts of smoked trout roe in a light creme sauce, which lent salinity and depth. Then, a 32-day dry-aged rib chop, a cut that can sometimes lean too “gamey” in the tradiinal steak house that cuts corners on a post aging trim, yet here was a revelation—tender, deeply beefy, but balanced. Accompanying the dish was sous vide endive, black garlic, and a shaving of Parmesan, which surprisingly lacked the usual sharpness, instead presenting a more rounded, delicate, nutty flavor. Desserts were a study in technique and balance. The first, a Grilled Strawberry with strawberry granita and Meyer lemon crème, was bright and refreshing, its layers revealing different expressions of cool and sweetness. Then came the Coco Craquelin, a delicate choux pastry filled with beurre noisette ganache and banana cremeux, meant to be eaten with the hands—a playful and interactive moment in the meal. Finally, a Sage Basque Cake, its subtle herbaceousness complemented by toasted hemp seeds and lemon curd, provided a grounding, crispy finish. Heritage is the kind of restaurant that doesn’t simply chase trends—it refines them into something personal, something intentional. The execution is confident but never showy, and the experience is paced with precision, allowing each dish to tell its own story. This is not just a meal—it’s a quiet, profound meditation on flavor, technique, and the land from which it all comes. Where other restaurant profess to be a true “Californian” style farm to table experience , Heritage is, without a doubt, a must-visit for anyone who seeks out truly exceptional dining in California.“

“Omg!! Let me tell you I just had some of the best pork ribs bathed in red spicy chile! I already finished my food and I’m still saying yummmm! I have driven by a A few times and seen their advertisement in the middle of the intersection. I’m glad I stopped. Now I can’t wait to go back and try something else on the menu. “Every time I go that store is empty, no workers, just lack of awareness. I'm on the on the checkout for like a while before someone comes to charge me. Customer service here sucks but because of the food that's why I am still going back. The owner or chain management whatever has to really keep eye on this store. I have gone to others and this one for some reason it just lacks awareness of who's at their store. They really better be careful and hire people that want to work there, not disappearing or in the bad mood.“

“It was hard to find the restaurant because it was in the back corner of a business complex. It's very easy to miss, but there's plenty of parking at least. Me and 2 friends ordered from the kiosk and waited about 15m for 3 sandwiches and fries. Inside it's quite small with only a table and bar with 4 seats each.
I got the Signature Sandwich with LVL 2 sauce. The sandwich was massive, and the chicken was so thick, incredibly juicy, and perfectly cooked. The breading and cabbage were crunchy too. The mayo was a creamy complement to the chicken without being overpowering. The spicy sauce was served on the side, and it was so deliviously flavorful and not only spicy. My only complaint here is that I wish there was more spicy sauce and that it was spread inside the sandwich, because I kept forgetting to drizzle sauce on between bites and still ran out.
The salt and vinegar fries tasted exactly like the Lay's flavor but with more potato from the fries, of course. Honestly the fries were nothing special but they gave so much that the box was overflowing.
I tried my friend's Kimchi Egg Sandwich too. The ham was pretty forgettable or missable, but the egg was delicious. The egg was incredibly moist, sweet, and delicately salty, and it paired well with the mild acidity of the kimchi.
We chatted with the owner a bit when we picked up our food and she was very sweet and kind. She made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. I hope more people check this place out, because it's unfortunately very missable in its current location. I'm going to come back but will definitely share a sandwich next time.“

“Met up here with a friend on a random Friday for late breakfast. The soyrizo skillet was fantastic! I also had a bite of my friend's almond croissant and it was literally the best one I have ever had. Food came out quick. “Last night we went to Speak Cheezy on 4th St at Termino. First off, EXCELLENT customer service! We had the Shroomday Button (Oyster and Maitake Mushrooms/ White Wine Braised Leeks / Truffle Cheese / house stretched mozzarella / shredded mozz / parsley / post oven of lemon zest. *We love to add Hobbs Sausage*). I added that delicious sausage and loved that pizza! We also had the Bloomsdale (garlicky bloomsdale spinach / hand stretched mozzarella / shredded mozzarella /pecorino / smoked ricotta / gaeta olive / za’atar / feta salsa verde)... and YUM! And we decided to try the Garden of Farms Little Gem Caesar Salad (little gems / kewpie caesar dressing / pizza croutons / anchovies / Ribbons of Fiscalini Gold / soft cooked egg). Again, tasty, tasty, tasty. Speak Cheezy sure seems to use high-end products in the creation of their pizzas and salads. Everything was top notch. That salad was so yummy with that incredible salad dressing and the jammy soft cooked egg. I want another one to eat with my lovely pizza leftovers. :)“

“Long Beach is becoming a food hub rivaling LA. It can go toe to toe with DTLA and its neighborhoods. Straight up. Sesame dinette is another punch 🥊. It hits. Delicious banh mi and meatballs..yes I said meatballs. Everything is sexy and succulent. On top of all that a vegan Vietnamese coffee topped with salted pandan. That’s crazy.“

“Fast and friendly service. Ordered a Combo with the Turkey Club and a Green Smoothie. Everything was made fresh. The sandwich had the perfect amount of ingredients, and they didn't overdo the garlic aioli.This is my second time here, and both times have been very good.This is a mom & pop shop, but the food is good. They only offer take-out, but it's good for a grab and go meal. I would highly recommend.

“Pizza by Georgios may not catch your eye from the outside, as the décor is a bit outdated, but don’t let that fool you. The true highlight here is the pizza and their delicious cheesesteak sandwiches , which is above average and well worth a visit. The crust is perfectly crispy, the toppings are generous, and the flavors come together beautifully. It’s clear they take pride in their ingredients and preparation.
While the service is standard, efficient but nothing fancy. However the quality of the food makes up for it. If you’re looking for great pizza without the frills, this spot absolutely deserves 5 stars.

“Bright, airy restaurant that is larger inside than appears from outside. Plenty of parking in the shopping center lot, although you may have to walk a bit when all of the eating places are crowded. Typical SoCal ordering set-up with menu board above the order station. Make your choices, pay, find a table, and wait for your order. You can get your self-serve drink and condiments while you're waiting. Service is generally good with some enthusiastic staff. Food is very good. We shared a chicken schwarma plate with hummus and pita. We added on sides of another hummus and pita. Note that hummus and pita count as 2 sides here. The hummus was good and generous. The pita was grilled and was that lovely fluffy Greek style pita. The schwarma was tender, tasty, juicy, and covered in drippings. I wasn't into spicy, so I got the OG garlic sauce. Deliciously subtle. Prices are reasonable for these days. I noticed another store closer to where we live. Good to know.“

“With over 1k points, I’d say I love the flavor of the chicken teriyaki plate aswell as the chicken teriyaki burger. The yellow peppers and sauce are a great addition to their menu, the menu is quite large and can be overwhelming; however, stick to the specialties and you’ll never be let down. It’s family owned and they’re great people to talk to. I used to come here days at a time throughout the week and the taste never failed.Continue to be great food for the people guys! “Situated on a busy popular street , parking can be a bit of challenge. Restaurant has a nice ambience and service was good too.
We got the Margarita pizza (good flavor but they ignored our request of making it well done and this one came out very soggy) , chicken entree (v good) , spicy margarita (Smokey and v well made) and bread pudding (very good !)
Overall , we had a good meal and had it not been for a soggy wet pizza base , I would have definitely given this 5 stars .“

“I used to work at Togo's in Fountain Valley back in 2010 or so in high school, so my expectations are based on being a former employee.
The portions and quality of ingredients here are always so good. I haven't had a time where I didn't enjoy the sandwich - I usually get a hot roast beef and add cheese. I definitely will be back!“
