From the first bite, it was clear that Heritage excels at layering textures and flavors in unexpected ways. The meal began with an Amuse Bouche trio: a delicate prawn cracker topped with sweet Dungeness crab, a green leaf with another seafood salad that was to be eaten like a mini street taco, and balanced with the brightness and light crunch of pickled turnip. A seemingly simple couple of bites, but one that foreshadowed the precision and thoughtfulness of the courses to follow. To cleanse the palate, a mint tea infused with palo santo was served—a meditative interlude that was both refreshing and aromatic, setting the stage for the evening’s journey. The first official course, Crème Caviar, featured Russian Sturgeon Heritage Caviar and chive, a chilled preparation that was rich yet elegantly restrained. “Aesthetically pleasing food with over powered spice and nearly no flavor. The enchiladas pictured below looked delicious, however, i was met with overpowered spice and no flavor whatsoever. The rice and beans unfortunately matched the dish with no seasoning or flavor. The dining area doesn’t have AC and i went on a really hot day so it was extremely hot in there. “Last night we went to Speak Cheezy on 4th St at Termino. First off, EXCELLENT customer service! We had the Shroomday Button (Oyster and Maitake Mushrooms/ White Wine Braised Leeks / Truffle Cheese / house stretched mozzarella / shredded mozz / parsley / post oven of lemon zest. *We love to add Hobbs Sausage*). I added that delicious sausage and loved that pizza! We also had the Bloomsdale (garlicky bloomsdale spinach / hand stretched mozzarella / shredded mozzarella /pecorino / smoked ricotta / gaeta olive / za’atar / feta salsa verde)... and YUM! And we decided to try the Garden of Farms Little Gem Caesar Salad (little gems / kewpie caesar dressing / pizza croutons / anchovies / Ribbons of Fiscalini Gold / soft cooked egg). Again, tasty, tasty, tasty. Speak Cheezy sure seems to use high-end products in the creation of their pizzas and salads. Everything was top notch. That salad was so yummy with that incredible salad dressing and the jammy soft cooked egg. I want another one to eat with my lovely pizza leftovers. :)“

“We had breakfast at Zuzu’s Petals on a Saturday morning and arrived around 8:30 a.m. Parking took a little patience—we circled the block once or twice—but we found a spot within about a block of the restaurant.

There was about a 10–15 minute wait to order. The pace here is definitely relaxed, but that was part of the charm. I was catching up with a friend, and everyone waiting in line seemed to be in a good mood, so it felt more like part of the experience than an inconvenience.

After ordering at the counter, you receive a number and the staff brings your food to your table. The food wasn’t fast, but it also wasn’t excessively slow—it arrived at a comfortable, leisurely pace that fit the overall vibe of the restaurant. We sat on the covered sidewalk patio, which was pleasant and shaded, and by the time we finished, the line had grown all the way around the corner. Clearly this place is popular.

I ordered the skillet with drip coffee. Everything was well prepared and satisfying, and my total came to about $26 before tip, which felt pretty typical for the area.

Our server wasn’t constantly checking in or refilling coffee automatically, but whenever we needed something and got their attention, they were happy to help with a smile.

Stavo was so sweet, friendly, and overall amazing. I absolutely loved his personality! You can tell he genuinely cares about both the people he works with and every single guest who walks through the door.

Now let me talk about something that surprised me.

I have never tried their Mint Cucumber drink before because I simply do not like anything minty. Ever! Stavo suggested I give it a try. I asked him directly, “Is it minty?” He confidently told me it wasn’t overpowering and that it’s actually one of their top drinks. And let me just say he did not lie!!!!

The Mint Cucumber was divine. So refreshing. Light, crisp, and perfectly balanced. It wasn’t overwhelmingly minty at all just clean and cooling in the best way. Thank you for that suggestion, Stavo. You converted me!

And while we’re here, if you haven’t had their Pita Chips, you are absolutely missing out. They are the BEST. Perfectly crisp, lightly salted, and dangerously addictive. Make sure you get them when they’re fresh and come right out that’s when they’re at their peak. Trust me on this one.

We dine at Lazy Dog (various locations) fairly often since they offer a good variety and reasonable prices for food & drinks. The only challenge at the Cerritos location is that is connected to the mall so parking can at times be a bit challenging.“

They fixed our food and my brother walked up to the counter and picked it up. No one ever came out to see if we needed anything. (and it was not busy at all) They did nothing to warrant a 20% tip. If they want to charge 20% more on all items, then that's what they should do, not add a hidden tip at the end of the bill.“

Occupying the former location of Hanako, we've dined at the second previous tenant of this address, prior to Hanako. I've been meaning to come by Pudtarn Thai Cuisine because I'm a huge fan of Thai food, and Lunch Specials are an affordable option. This day seemed just the moment to try another local Thai restaurant for takeout.

Lunch Special Pad Thai-
Choice of protein (beef + $1, shrimp + $2), with rice, salad & egg roll. Oh, how have I missed pad Thai. Pudtarn's version hit the spot for my Thai food fix. Had the perfect amount of sour to sweet. Portions were generous, too.

Chicken satay-
Five tender, succulent sticks of chicken, served with creamy peanut sauce. Great accompaniment to the noodles, the pieces of chicken were delicious, especially when smothered in the sauce.

Service was good. A good amount of seating inside, the wait for takeout wasn't too long, since I was the first customer of the day. Parking can be somewhat difficult to come by, as some spaces are designated for the business in front of them. Hard to find on it's own, Pudtarn Thai Cuisine is located west of the car wash on the corner of Bloomfield & Centralia.

Pudtarn Thai Cuisine is a solid Thai eatery, and I'm definitely looking forward to visiting, again, in the near future. Their lunch specials are affordable, and provide an ample amount of food. Pudtarn Thai Cuisine has earned their spot in my food rotation list.“
