“Been coming here for years. As a local born and raised in Encinitas, there is no better restaurant for drinks and great food that has withstood the times. As for the service from the staff it has always been exceptional. Most recently Saul has always taken care of me with recommendations on drinks and food. They have just recently changed their menu so definitely something to check out.“

“Service was great as was all the food that my party ordered: mushroom flatbread, crab cake was very good but note that it's only one crab cake because it's made entirely of real crab. The trout with broccolini and potatoes was generous and delicious. The tuna salad didn't have a lot of tuna but the salmon was a very good portion and the entire salmon salad was delicious . I'm just not a fan of premade desserts but if was very nice for them to give a complimentary birthday dessert.“

“Rosinas is consistently excellent authentic Italian food. The only food downside ( which is why I gave Food a 4 out of 5 rating), is their Ceaser salad...it is consistently bland, really watery, and tasteless...such an unpleasant surprise given that ALL of the other salads are so delicious, and ALL of the other food is delicious. Rosina, PLEASE update the Ceaser salad..it is really awful.“

Absolutely Exceptional – A Must-Visit in Del Mar
Monarch Ocean Pub exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and well taken care of. The open-air setting overlooking the street gives the perfect mix of energy and ease — you feel part of the buzz of Del Mar while enjoying a relaxed, elegant meal.
Our server, Bo, was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and genuinely delightful to talk with (we even discovered she went to Indiana University, which made it feel like a small-world connection!).
Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor — from the fresh oysters and crisp Caesar salad to the soft Parker House rolls, the shrimp and lobster sliders, and the finale of melt-in-your-mouth Hawaiian donuts. Each bite was perfection.
Monarch doesn’t just serve food — they create an experience. It was the highlight of our trip and a place we’ll be talking about for a long time.“

“My husband and I have been here for the very first time and we immediately fell in love with this place. The staff is amazing, they know how to treat you and make you feel at home. Alice is very passionate about her job and we loved her homemade desserts sooo much. A special mention to Michele, a very young yet extremely professional waiter, who contributed to create a cozy and pleasant atmosphere! As Italian, I can say it's hard to find place such Alice's where you feel so vividly the warm of our country. We will definitely come back!“

“This is our favorite Italian restaurant in the La Jolla area. Food is delicious and love the decor. This time we ate outdoors as we had our dog with us. Service was adequate even though we were off to the side and not n clear view of the wait staff. Love the Calamari/zucchini appetizer. We both had different veal dishes and they were delicious and ample. We are only in the area a few months each year but this is the first restaurant we go to when arriving.“

“A fantastic gem hidden in the midst of all the fast food restaurants you could imagine! We have the skirt steak, the lamb chops, and the ribeye! Wow- it was delisious and beautiful big portions. Our waiter was amazing and so suggestive that we really enjoyed the entire experience.“

A locally owned and operated wine and craft beer shop with a great twist—there’s a welcoming area in the back where you can enjoy an impressive selection of wines and beers, paired with excellent cheeses, cold cuts, and flatbreads.
From the moment you walk in, there’s a genuine sense of community. I met some amazing people and truly felt the family atmosphere that the owners have created. A big part of that comes from the team—Alessa, Reggie, Fernando, Andrew, Connor, Trianna, and Shawn—who were all fantastic: welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging, making the experience feel personal and relaxed.
The space has a modern wine-cellar vibe, complemented by a really well-curated mix of music. You can immediately tell the owner is hands-on and has a great eye for building a team that fits the culture—friendly, passionate, and never pretentious.
I visited a couple of Sundays in a row and found it to be the perfect balance: not overly busy, but lively enough to feel engaging and social. I also went back on a Friday, and it was lively and buzzing—a great energy without feeling overwhelming. Even better, the owner is truly hands-on, consistently checking in on guests around the room and making sure everyone is having a great experience.
They offer memberships and host regular tasting events, which adds even more value for locals. This is truly a great neighborhood wine bar set in an upscale yet relaxed environment.
It’s absolutely worth stopping by just to browse the excellent wine and beer selection—but like me, you’ll probably find yourself drawn to the back area, where the magic really happens.“

“Crust is one of those places that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. It’s a warm, welcoming pizzeria and Italian restaurant tucked away in La Costa, and it’s quickly become one of my new favorites. We had the chance to meet one of the owners, and she couldn’t have been more friendly and genuine — the kind of hospitality that makes the whole experience even better.
The food was absolutely delicious — classic Italian comfort done right — and the drinks were outstanding. It’s the perfect spot whether you’re out for a date night, grabbing dinner with family, or catching a game with friends. I really enjoyed our evening and can’t recommend Crust enough.“

“We own at Marbrisa and have been here at least half a dozen times and love the property and pool area. At The Cove the Menu is simple, and good and the prices are great. The staff around the pool are friendly and keep the loungers organized and take orders for you. 90% of the staff behind the bar at fantastic.“

“Went to breakfast here with my parents. We had such a nice time. View was fabulous. Food was delicious. And Mario, our server, was very nice too. “Local Roots Solana Beach: clean, modern, and friendlier than a dog at a barbecue! Work or play, have it your way with rotating kombucha and chef's sushi menu. Wifi, TVs and indoor outdoor space make it ideal for people watching or mingling. Just a heads up, it's a bit pricer with fewer options than nearby spots like Station Sushi, but hey, quality ain't cheap! ?? ??
