“A little hole in the wall that's well worth a detour. If I was working for the Michelin guide, I'd award them a star right away. The food is very flavourful, the staff is superfriendly and I've honestly got nothing negative to say about it. I had the onion rings in stout syrup and it was the perfect balance between savoury and tart from the stout. I had the green enchiladas as well and they're hands down the best ones I've ever had. Come here!“

“Great history of this restaurant as a one-time pony express stop, hotel and restaurant. Beautiful, 8historic decor, tall pine posts and warm wooden walls. Long wooden bar. Great experience.
Vegetarian options: You can certainly choose vegetarian options from an extensive menu. Generous portions.
Parking: Paved parking lot as well as parking spaces out front of the restaurant.
Kid-friendliness: Great history of this restaurant as a one-time pony express stop, hotel and restaurant. Beautiful decor, tall pine posts and warm wooden walls. Long wooden bar.
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible through front foyer with some assistance in opening foyer and restaurant doors. Easy to get around in main restaurant, but I have a small, foldable wheelchair and it was easily stowed against a nearby wall. I opted to sit in a chair with our fanily. The restroom and very accessible. There are outside seating on the patio, but it was not available at the time we were there.“

“We enjoyed our lunch today. Nice atmosphere and great service. If I had anything that I would say wasn’t my favorite it would be the beer cheese dip that came with our garlic bread( bread was great). I am Irish and I expected a nice creamy cheddar cheese with a beer influence. Unfortunately, it was so spicy that I couldn’t taste anything but the heat. Maybe they should offer a milder version along with the spicy. Kinda bummed because I wouldn’t order it again. Just an idea.“

“My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner with warm personal service. We had a nice view of the Main street in Placerville from our second floor overlook table. Great food, excellent service and cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend the strawberry Panna cotta with chocolate mousse for dessert. Great personal service from the owner!! Very friendly. Will be going back soon.!“

“We came in with a group of 8 spontaneously — and were accommodated immediately. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff (big shout out to Jazze), food and drinks were great and enjoyed by all, including the vegan/gf folks in the group. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“This burger joint is close to my home, so I have been a regular consumer. One favorite was the Chinese Chicken salad. Their limited hours makes it tough to eat there. They take no orders after 6:30 pm and close the indoor seating early as well. Recently, they raised their prices significantly. At these rates I would rather eat at a nicer place such as the Tap House or Brick Oven Pub.“

“Finally a five star restaurant in Pollock Pines. I found a restaurant that understands my particular order of a well done steak. No it wasn’t served to me as beef jerky, it was perfect and sooo delicious.“

“Food was awesome. Had to wait sometime to receive it and I was tired of the servers chit chat with each other not long after we arrived. “Literally this, literally that…” other than all the bored servers standing around it was well worth the stop. I would def stop in again. Food was awesome.“
