“The BIGGEST HIDDEN SECRET in southern California is in Fillmore. At the crossroads of 3 cultures German, England & France there is a hidden Diamond called Ron Mills Bakery/Grocery store in Fillmore. After buying their breads and other baked goods at the Calabasas Farmer Market, we finally decided to drive on a Saturday afternoon to visit their store/bakery in Fillmore,(open to public 2 days a week only) We wanted to do that for more than 2 years and the experience was simply short of miracle, we discovered a place that brings the best of Europe without the misery of travel. The drive through some of the most impressive canyons and views alone makes it a desired destination, but what we discover in terms of biodynamic produce and baked goods simple takes you to the heart of 3 cultures, We tried everything in the baked goods, a Kish out of heaven and the best Bavarian grandma's kitchen, Pastries recalling England, France and Germany, Breads that only are found in heaven and lots of unique vegetables fresh from the local farms picked that day....We are very grateful to find the kindest people who are committed to do things right with total humility. Their homemade fresh pastas alone are worth the trip, their pizzas are as good as any made by an italian Grandma. I can go on because we also bought eggs (the best), and so many items it would be too long to list. A total 4 hours trip drive and shopping was as good as a week vacation. We are consuming daily the foods from Ron Mills and it makes travel up a different part of OLD TRADITIONAL EUROPE every day on our plates. Bravo Ron Miller and family, keep up the good work. We will make it our food shopping destination.”

“This hidden jem will not disappoint. The food is on point and deliciously fresh and tantalizing! They have a menu that fits every type of eater, including vegetarian selections and healthy tidbits. For those who love to indulge, mouth waters glasses of ice-cold milk shakes dipped in chocolate await you, with leftovers in the container and a spoon! There are waffles with maple syrup, Hawaiian pineapple chicken sandwiches, Serrano peppers mixed in with scrambled eggs, and kids menu items that can feed two very hungry preschools from a single plate. I always have leftovers. And to top it off, the prices are pretty reasonable, especially for the huge portion sizes. When you pull up, you may notice that the lines may be long, but don't let that hijack your food craving. Stop the car and come on in! They have a fast system, and it works like clock work. I don't know if it's because they are located at the airport where people traditionally need fast service? Or if they carry on the excellence, always model from it being an early military insulation moons and moons ago! But it works! You place your order before you're even seated and pay right away. Then you have many opportunities for seating. You can go outside and observe the plans and helicopters up close and personal on the top deck. Or there are several covered see through patios. Each is well heated and ventilated. Or you can snuggle inside in a booth or at a table with friends. You will find plenty of staff who check in on you, and are constantly on the move, providing exceptional, high quality customer service. It's a pleasant atmosphere for families, friends or individuals. You can even find a seat at the counter and watch the food service in action. So check out this community treasure whenever you're in Ventura County! You will not be disappointed but will find a home away from home.”

“We really enjoy Cedro because it feels like Italy. The food is authentic, scratch-made Italian. Like in most restaurants you'll find in Italy, their wines are chosen to compliment their food. Be sure you ask about the nightly specials. The staff is attentive and friendly. It's about you. The decor is comfortable but plain. Service is not rushed. Go there with others who like to converse. Been loving the quality of the food I've been getting here lately. Getting those guacamole bacons, that red hook fish sandwich, everything was always well-made and delicious. Every employee I've interacted with here, at the drive-thru or at the counter, has been super friendly and patient with me, even when I fumble around trying to use the app. They never leave anything out of my order, or skimp on anything. Plus, the dining area is always nice and clean.

They also had a good variety of drink options. I chose one of their seasonal drinks that's like a pumpkin cheesecake, and it was so similar to an actual pumpkin cheesecake!”
