“We went here for breakfast and already had a long line before our side. Luckily upon having the counter bar side available, we took that side so that we don’t have to wait for another long time.

We thought the host of the cafe was attentive and friendly alongside Francis - she’s a very warm, attentive, and loving lady who also recommended us to try their special Eggs Benedict.

The Waitress took our order for us starting with coffee, Eggs Benedict, and Omelette with Ham and Cheese. Each meal served with hash browns, and mine came with an English muffin too.

We waited probably around 10-12mins, the Eggs Benedict came a bit later but not that much different from a wait.

What we loved about their breakfast, both weren’t too overpowering with flavours. And that we can simply add condiments when we want to.

The only downside was the coffee no kick of strong, bold and good flavour and aroma from the coffee - we felt just drinking flavoured drink. Also the ambience which can be a bit noisy around, especially, we came during the peak hours.

We want to give compliments to the staff, the cooks, and the overall service. We’re very pleased with the food. And special mention to Francis, her enthusiasm and energetic presence added value to the Red Hut Cafe.

“Quaint little place. Decent barista. You can tell it's a locals place with all the regulars that come in. I had a pre-made breakfast burrito & espresso it was decent. Make sure you ask for the salsa. It's not spicy but has good flavor.“

“Super friend staff and amazing food! Everyone was so friendly and helpful but, most importantly, the food was SO good! My husband and I both got different omelets and both were so good. We ate until we were beyond stuffed because the food was THAT good! He got a Bloody Mary that was one of the best I’ve had out here and I got a mimosa. Perfect little brunch atmosphere and set up! ❤️ You can not visit Lake Tahoe and pass this honey up!“

“Best Bakery from the Nevada to South Lake Tahoe, and possibly all over Tahoe! Amazing family run bakery with quality savory and sweet treats! They also catered an amazing desert table this past weekend for a family event. My only complaint is the deserts were so good, they were completely gone by the end of the night and I wasn’t able to take any home. I guess my loss is everyone else’s gain.. next time I’m hiding some for myself.“

“Nice rustic atmosphere and the rooms have a cabin/wilderness feel. Rooms are on the smaller side because it’s a renovated motel but it definitely feels like Tahoe and rustic scenery. Would stay here again!“

“Found this small little restaurant on line. Highly recommend you try it. Huge breakfast burritos. The bagel breakfast sandwiches are so good and so many options. The coffee drinks are up there with any coffee shop around. The staff was so friendly and helpful.

We came back after two years and we weren't disappointed. We got a Mexican coffee, cold brew coffee and both were great.
If you get a bagel with cream cheese. They load it up. They have jalapeño cheese bagels, everything bagels, sun dried tomatoes and plain bagels.
We got the El Dicho bagel sandwich on the jalapeño cheese bagel. It comes with a fried egg, bacon and cheese.
If you're in south lake Tahoe you need to try it. So much better than the big national coffee shops.“
