“Such a cool spot! The dude bartender with long hair was super friendly and poured a delicious helles lager and i got a pretzel dog, which was a beautiful pairing. A guitarist was doing some slide guitar.
The light lager is what brought me here in the first place. The spot was nice and packed. Def coming back!“

“This is a great place to hang out and have a beer (so many choices!) and they also have food vendors sometimes since they don’t serve food themselves. Just be aware that if the Under Mezzanine area is reserved for an event there’s no access to the arcade games. We had it reserved for an event a couple weeks ago and two kids, about 7 and 10, walked right in and start playing games who mostly ignored us and finally told us “We were told we could be here” after we asked them to leave several times. Thanks to beer, I ended up scolding them to get them to leave and they ran off to tell their parents, to whom I give 0 stars since they came and complained to us even though they’d told their children they could crash our party.“

“Woods Lowside in Lower Haight is a great little bar serving their own brewery and wine creations. They also serve Joyride Pizza, a Detroit style pizza. West out back in a secluded decked area. Service was great, the pizza was fantastic as were the brews.“
“We stopped in for a beer on our honeymoon and loved the upstairs area to play some fun games and sand shuffle board! The beers were delicious and they had great service. It was a warm day and the airflow wasn’t great upstairs or down so that’s the only negative but we’ll definitely be back for more beers!“

“In town for work and was looking for some good beer. What a great find on a day with gorgeous weather! On the roof at Salesforce park, was able to enjoy a flight (5 options) and personal pizza (delicious!) for $45, a steal in San Fran. No heaters so can only be enjoyed in good weather but highly recommend.“

Still a great selection of beers and very relaxing atmosphere on a Tuesday evening. They've got some very interesting beers on rotation right now. Would definitely recommend trying out the peanut butter and jelly beer!

“Cute & hip German-inspired pub for beer and grub. Offers some vegan and gluten-free food options.
Nice ambience, with lots of natural wood. Lots of seating at long picnic tables, which suit the atmosphere perfectly but get uncomfortable after a while. Cool decor.“
“Faction Brewing is a wonderful, local brewery! On a perfect day, enjoy a beer or cider on their patio overlooking the San Francisco Bay and city skyline. Catch it on a gloomier day and you can still enjoy a crafted beverage in their large indoor spaces. We host our annual donation drive here in the spring and the staff is always so fantastic. Highly recommend Faction Brewing!“

“Great beer and wonderful staff. One of the best games to play is when you're in the bathroom and there happens to be someone in the stall keeping really quiet until you leave. When you've done you're thing and you're on your way out pretend to leave. Open the door and close it again. That person in the stall will think you've left and they'll let it rip. Most people will have been holding it back, probably gripping the sides of the toilet, waiting for you to leave and when its released it'll make a hell of a noise. You can then laugh all the way back to your beer knowing that you caught them at their most vulnerable. Sometimes I just make the fart noise and then leave. It's up to you how you play it.“

“My friends and I stumbled on this little gem and loved it. The Local Honey beer was divine - not sweet, but vegetal, earthy - and the mulled wine was the perfect mix of spices for a wintery night. Empanadas were on point for a late night snack. Lastly, the bartender was so nice and very knowledgeable about all the drinks, he even offered us samples of beers he thought we might like. They make beer AND wine which is not something you see often!“

“First brewery of the day and what an excellent neighborhood brew pub sitting on the corner of Bryant St and Cesar Chavez St. A lot to choose from so we went high ABV with the Hazed & Confused Double Hazy IPA at 9%. We both enjoyed it.“

“Come for Happy Hour or a cold beer few times a week. Good atmosphere, fast service usually Liz, Chelsea and Guy with longer hair and hat or Angel there they all have good customer service, friendly and Happy to Help. all good at what they do but Liz is definitely our favorite only because we have known her the longest and she has never let us go Thirsty or hungry and great at always checking on us 💯👍 as well as Chelsea Angel and the other guy. Been to many BJs in different states but got to say San Mateo has the best atmosphere then By other BJs we been too. But guessing it's only because of the staff there give them what they deserve and keep them around Because without them it wouldn't be the same.“

“We stopped here while waiting to catch our flight because we had a while. It was super chill and a fun place. They had old pinball machines that we played and the ambiance was very cool and relaxed. Food was so yummy. Got the flatbread pizza and some fries to share. Very satisfied.“
