Tpumps was across the street. There were sooo many flavors to choose from and the boba were prepared just right (not too firm or mushy). “Mr. Sun’s Boba has been my FAVORITE café in the Bay Area since December 2023. I love Mr. Sun Tea because (1) the ambiance is welcoming and perfect for both reading and working (2) the boba is healthy. The tapioca pearls are made FRESH in-house daily, without any chemicals or artificial additives.

My go-to order is the RAINBOW Boba Milk Tea with three flavors of boba. I love it so much that I also order Mr. Sun for my gatherings and catering needs.“

Lemon slices with water is awesome but I do have one complaint is the recent change to their chicken sumac recipe changed and my kids can’t eat the new saltier and spiced up recipe. “You never go wrong with Happy Lemon for boba. The location is in the heart of Redwood city. The parking is a bit hard, then you walk to the strip mall to get to the shop. The staff was friendly. The milk tea boba is great, but the Super Fruit green tea with passion fruit popping boba is next level. The fresh fruit slices mixed in with the tea are a refreshing surprise and the fruit is always ripe and delicious. I tried the grapefruit fruit tea today as well which hit the spot! “I've patronized several Bambu locations and would share that the Sunnyvale location offers unique and cozy seating areas. On one end it felt like I was sitting under a pagoda. In the middle, there were counter top seating for individual experiences to work/study. On the opposite end was a sit-down gathering area that requests for shoe removal. The fun decor with lanterns, plants, neon light, and television playing calming new age music was inviting.

I ordered the Bambu Special, Bambu Favorite and pandan waffle. All were delicious and delivers nostalgia of desserts I grew up with. I will definitely visit each time I'm back in the area again!“
