I called the studio city location for a refund on those since I had no time to go back to the bakery before the party (please open a location in Santa Clarita @susiesarich 😂). Instead, they same day delivered my cupcakes PLUS sent additional cookies and Mother’s Day treats for no additional cost to me😭❤️ I was SO amazed by the gracious customer service. “Stopped by House of Bread in Westwood, a small but neat little bakery owned by a Persian woman. Tried their country sourdough, and overall, it was a good loaf. The crust had a nice crunch, and the aroma was spot on—earthy and inviting. The crumb, however, was a bit denser than expected, lacking the usual airy texture, and it leaned more on the chewy side. Still, the flavor was enjoyable, and it’s clear they use quality ingredients.

One suggestion for the owner: consider adding a bread slicer. It would make it much more convenient for customers who prefer pre-sliced loaves“

“Went here with a friend and was blown away (sounds cliche!) by the level of service I got from a place I wasn't destined to spend more than $10 at. The honestly polite cashier (manager, perhaps?) and her knowledge of all of the various cookies, their ingredients, and other particulars, made my day. Reminded me of how service used to be years ago. The cookies were very good, too, as were the samples I was given. I'd love to come back here when I'm in the area.

I felt so welcomed from the moment I stepped through the door and I liked that they have you order and pay before sitting down, it makes the dining experience more relaxing and low key. “I was excited to come here based on reviews and environment. It looked so cute inside and I was so happy to try it. I ordered a cold brew, but it was extremely watered down, so that was disappointing. The woman who took my order at the counter was not friendly at all, which really ruined the experience for me. It’s almost like I had no right to be there. I didn’t order any food, but the open faced bagels looked really good, so I gave the food 5 stars as a benefit of the doubt.

“I decided to eat here with my family for breakfast after the first day of Hanukkah and the owners communiciated with me that it will be around 35-45 minute wait for food due to high number of customers ordering on site and online. Sat outside but decided to walk inside to order latte's and bake goods meanwhile. Inside is DEVINE. I would highly recommend the jalapeno bread with creme cheese, but come early because they run out often by noon.“

“Coming from a Vietnamese person who makes her own Vietnamese coffee at home, they have THE best and authentic Vietnamese coffee here (cafe sửa đã). The added layer of foam on top has just the right little amount of salt and creaminess to it. Every sip is O.M.G. - and I’ve tried many Vietnamese coffee in the area! This type of coffee is pretty caffeinated, so be warned, but it’s very delicious, give it a try!

Also, their cookies are SO delicious! A bit chewy on the outside and doughy on the inside. They can heat it there for you, or take it home and pop it in the microwave in increments of 10sec. My fav is the chocolate with peanut butter. Love this place!
