“This is by far the worst breakfast experiences I have ever had. If I could put zero stars I would. We put our order for scrambled eggs and eggs Benedict. Waited an hour and a half, finally went in to see what was going on and our order was never made. (Computer mistake) which I understood so then I asked to have our order to go. We waited and our food wasn’t put in to go containers. So we ate our food and they messed up scrambled eggs. They were inedible. Overall just terrible. They had such high reviews it was very upsetting.“

“Really great experience! I came in day of to order a cake for my boss's birthday. Johnny helped me out and he was super nice and helpful! It looked like he was the shift lead, but everyone working there was doing an excellent job and getting through the customers quickly! Johnny was super wonderful and wrote a specialized note for the cake. I also got an iced latte and they have the best coffee there ever!! Like every coffee drink I've gotten from there is soooo good.“

“What an absolute gem of a find! I visited for the first time today—and to my absolute delight, just five minutes from my home, I found a real maritozzo con panna that transported me straight back to Rome! You have no idea how happy this made me.
If I could, I’d give it a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars! If I may humbly offer one tiny, respectful suggestion from a passionate Roman heart: try making the cream (la panna) completely unsweetened. In Rome, we keep the whipped cream unsweetened because the light dusting of powdered sugar on top and the soft, sweet brioche bun already provide the perfect amount of sweetness.
At first glance, unsweetened cream might feel like it's missing something, but I promise you, it creates such a delicious balance that people will end up ordering two! Back home, I can easily polish off two in one sitting, whereas here I was full after one just from the extra sugar rush. (And you will save money on the sugar saved !)

My family and I have followed Chef & Owner Kei since it first started and only had regular priority mail delivery and pickup from a co-op location in Downtown LA. I stopped by after the Montrose Farmers Market, where Sugarbird was before and I believe still is for other Farmers Markets, and Kei herself was managing the store. She was nice and really excited to finally have her own storefront. I got a free tea, free clotted cream, the tea sandwich set, six scones (ube, lemon blueberry, matcha, fig & rosemary, passionfruit & earl grey) and shortbread cookies.“

“Talk about a whole in the wall. Bakery is kinda hidden, you'll miss it if you don't pay attention. They have a bolillo sandwich called guateque. Bolillo with beans, queso fresco, asada, jalapeños & salsa on the side. It is delicious anytime of day. Their pan dulce is also good. They have mini & regular size pan dulce & bolillo. I do have to mention that the place is really small, so is their parking. I suggest you call your order in for the guateques since they are always busy. I know you will love the guateque de asada! I haven't tried the guateque de huevo con chorizo yet. That'll be the next one I try. Enjoy!“

The display is incredibly neat and colorful, and everything tasted amazing. The owners and helpers are so kind and friendly, making the visit even better. My son absolutely loves their donuts. “We went for French chanson night. I would suggest moving those type of events to a bigger room with the bar so people can dance and enjoy the music. This time it was overcrowded in the room, people were trying to dance at their tables. The food was OK, wine per bottle starts from 70$ which is a little too much for a bottle that costs $10 at the store. I ordered aperol spritz which had 0 alcohol and 99%of ice. The service was good. Overall nice place, I might come back but not in a near future.“

I called the studio city location for a refund on those since I had no time to go back to the bakery before the party (please open a location in Santa Clarita @susiesarich 😂). Instead, they same day delivered my cupcakes PLUS sent additional cookies and Mother’s Day treats for no additional cost to me😭❤️ I was SO amazed by the gracious customer service. “This is your typical family owned bakery where you are treated as family, very good bread, fresh coffee is served in the early hours of the morning, prices are reasonable, parking space is not always a good thing since the bakery shares the shopping with other businesses. I will definitely keep it as a morning stop.“

“We had a delicious Bday Cake from here! It was a beautiful multiple layered vanilla cake with raspberry jam in between the layers and a white icing!! So well-balanced and the cake was substantial almost like a pound cake. A small cake fed 8 of us generously it was so utterly satisfying!!“
