I had the rice juice and sesame seed roll (which is stuff with sweet bean paste. which brought me back. I was talking to Misu how Korean food is not the same here. She proved me wrong! You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients here. It’s the perfect spot for a coffee and a high-end treat!“

Only complaint is that when we came on a hot night, the place did not have A/C, or it wasn't on.“

“All the staff we encountered was friendly, sweet, and highly professional, except for the first woman we interacted with behind the counter. She looked right through us as if we weren’t there and when we asked a direct question about ingredients she pulled a face as if she was irritated to have to answer. She handed us cold food to go when we planned to dine in. When we clarified, again she was rude. Her and her attitude is the only reason I would hesitate to return - oh, and the fact I was handed a dirty coffee cup, looked like it hadn’t been checked after removal from the dishwashing machine. However, the cashier was super helpful, and everyone that came out to check on us was charming and professional; THE FOOD WAS AMAZING, the location was refreshing, parking on the street was serviceable, the seating was plentiful, other customers were fun, and the vibe was chill.“

“Wow. I was searching for goodies for a loved one with digestive sensitivities and found myself at Yvonne's Vegan Kitchen. We got to sample some cake and picked out a pre-made vanilla raspberry. A few minutes later, it was personalized. I decided to treat myself to a piece of ube loaf bread. I have tried many and this one finally did not disappoint. I was impressed. Also, almond cookies are lovely and they have these things called butterflies, which are crispy fried and dipped in like honey or corn syrup. And they're just delicious!“

It’s a Ma-and-Pa shop and I get the impression sometimes family covering a shift is more focused on just doing their job. If you come at odd hours, they might be in the back but if you’re patient and get their attention, they’ll be happy to help. Also, you don’t see it in their display, but I highly recommend the Siopao (idk if I say it right, I always ask for “shoe pow” and then know what I mean 😅)
