“Cakery Bakery was kind enough to donate a few dozen cupcakes to a community celebration at Flintridge Bookstore this past weekend. They were enjoyed by all the children in attendance - delicious! Thank you, Cakery Bakery for your support of this local event (Where's Waldo Local) and of other small indie businesses.“
“This is hands down the best place for authentic French pastries in the La Cañada area. I highly recommend the Raspberry Tart—it’s incredibly fresh and delicious. Another absolute must-try is the Monaco (Passion Fruit Pistachio cake); the tangy passion fruit flavor is so refreshing and pairs perfectly with the pistachio. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients here. It’s the perfect spot for a coffee and a high-end treat!“

“Constellation is a jewel in both La Canada and Silver Lake. It’s one of a handful of really good coffee shops in LA. Their espresso is smooth but flavorful, perfect for that early AM wake up call. Best of all, they are very community oriented and the leadership here really dedicates itself to helping the community in more ways than one. Great place, great owners, and they go the distance!“

“Creative take on traditional pastries and exceptional classics! Love the fun flavors, but a sucker for their classic chocolate croissant. The cookies are also sooo good, you’ll need to take home at least 3. Sorry, I don’t make the rules.“

“The lahmajoun from Sasoun was hands down the best meat pizza I’ve had in Los Angeles. I’ve tried it in many places, but nothing compares to this bakery in Glendale. The tahini cookies were also excellent, and I highly recommend this place.“

“Found this gem on Google Maps while searching for some afternoon snacks. A little real Italian osteria run by folks from Italy. Tiramisu was on point, as was truffle suppli (fried risotto croquettes with cheese) that brought back memories of Rome. By the time I got there the pastry case was bare, but I did pick up an Italian sour cherry jam and a bottle of lemon soda, another staple during my trips to Italy. I will return for pasta & pizza. It’s little sweet place that needs to be found by more people!“

“Paul is very nice and made me feel so welcomed! He remembered me even though I've only been there once. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. If I recall correctly, he said that the strawberry cake ball, coffee cake, and a few others were popular picks.
There is only outdoor sidewalk seating (a total of 3 small tables with 2 seats each). The interior is tiny, and it carries the feel of a quick in-and-out pickup store. It's also right across the street from Pasadena's Central Park if you're looking for a stroll while you eat.
It's very transit-accessible. It's a 5 minute walk from the A line Del Mar station.
death by chocolate cookie ($3.85) - It's just a typical double chocolate cookie! It's a little gritty and dry (maybe it's gluten free?) but still delicious nonetheless.
coffee cake ($5.88) - sweet, with a flavor of cinnamon (not in an overpowering way). If you enjoy coffee cake, definitely get this, as vegan coffee cake is a rarity in Pasadena and LA.
ice cream sandwich ($9.25) - honestly, i think this was a little too sweet for me. The ice cream itself was plain vanilla soft serve, but when sandwiched by two entire chocolate chip cookies, I think the sweetness can be overpowering. Keep in mind that it also melts very fast (since it has the consistency of soft serve) and this makes it hard to keep the whole sandwich in shape. If you do not plan to eat it right away, I would not recommend getting this as it'll melt in a mere minute.“

“I recently ordered a picture cake from Red Ribbon Bakeshop's South Vermont Los Angeles location for the second time, and once again, they made my family's birthday celebration extra special. The picture cake is such an amazing touch - beautifully made, delicious, and always a big hit with family and friends. We truly love Red Ribbon products, from the cakes to the pastries, because everything is consistently fresh and flavorful.
A special thank you to Ms. Chello and her staff for their outstanding customer service. Everyone was very accommodating, friendly, and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly with my order. Their kindness and professionalism truly made my experience even better, and it's one of the reasons I happily keep coming back.
The ambiance of the store is welcoming, clean, and cheerful, making every visit pleasant. You can really feel the warmth and hospitality the moment you walk in.
I am a loyal customer and will always consider Red Ribbon for my family's celebrations. Thank you to Ms. Chello and the entire team for always helping make our special occasions even more memorable!“

“Busy on the weekends and mornings so recommend coming here on a weekday. We came here during Wednesday for dinner and did not have to wait. They were out of the chicken rice but had everything else. You order at the front and then get a seat. They don’t do reservations so best to come with a small group of 2-3. Highlights on the menu for us we’re the French Toast and Pork Belly Rice. The French Toast was sweet with a crispy outside and fluffy inside. Overall, great place with good prices and would come back!“

“It’s really healthy and still delicious! There’s another really good dish called the kechapuri that’s overlooked but super good! I’d get the wrap and a kechapuri! The kechapuri is a little less healthy but super good and the wrap skin is very good and thin!“

“Long-standing bakery in Chinatown that’s probably become LA iconic spot to visit when around the area. Interestingly they might have kept most design unchanged so you could totally felt it in the store vibe.
It’s constantly busy throughout the day but they served very speedily and they had plenty of servers making the line moving in a blink. Good news, they weren’t cash only like typical similar store around the area.
They’re popular for the strawberry cream cake, but I chose to go with the custard bun and wintermelon pie as I wasn’t a fan of that kind of cream and spongecake.
The bun was fluffy and moist and tasted as good as the scent we could smell when walking around the bakery. Always loved when simple old-school stuff turned out good and stuck with people’s liking. The wintermelon pie base somewhat reminded me of the crumbly style mooncake skin, just that this one had unique filling. I loved wintermelon as a drink but this was my first time having it as pie!“

“Clark Street Bakery delivers a premium experience every time. Their breads and pastries are clearly crafted with care, and while they charge a premium, the quality absolutely matches it. I come here several times a week because everything, from the food to the atmosphere, feels elevated. The two managers, Ms. Nalani and Mr. Rafael, always greet me warmly, though I never need their help since there’s nothing to complain about. My only wish is that they didn’t close so sharply at 3 PM; staying open until 4 would be perfect. And the barista lady consistently makes the coffee better whenever she’s on shift.“

“I tried the toffee chocolate chip cookie and the s’mores cookie, and both were sweet and tasty. The strawberry & banana matcha didn't disappoint either.
Nice atmosphere as well, the only thing that's a little complicated is the parking.“

“Wetzel’s Pretzels is pretty well-loved for their soft, freshly baked pretzels. They have a variety of flavors, from classic salted pretzels to cinnamon sugar and even pretzel dogs. People often rave about their warm, doughy texture and the tasty dipping sauces they offer. Also vegetarian Plus, their staff tends to be super friendly and welcoming, making it a fun experience overall.❤️in Hollywood“

“I’ve been meaning to post but kept forgetting. This place really does make the best cakes. I got a chocolate cake with half strawberry and half banana. Everyone at the party said it was SO good. Not too sweet. Typically I hate frosting but they make it perfectly soft and not too sweet! I showed them pictures of the rainbow frosting look I wanted and they recreated it perfectly too! I added the decorations on top myself. Highly recommend Fortune Bakery!“

“I came in because I was craving a ham and cheese croissant with jalapenos. They didn't have one. That didn't stop her! The lovely lady behind the counter said I'll make you one. The small lobby was crowded. The lady that was Manning the counter was all over the place, as quick as can be! She even started speaking some Spanish to one of the gentlemen who was in the lobby! I was not only impressed with their customer service, but just their two-woman operation in general! If I'm ever in that area, I will definitely go back and support!“

“Patisserie Too is such a hidden gem! Everything looked fresh and beautifully made. The egg tart was crispy, flaky, and had a smooth, creamy filling. I also loved the coconut tart and caramel croissant tart—both were delicious without being overly sweet. The staff were friendly, and the prices were surprisingly affordable. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more pastries. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great baked treats!“

“Fantastic! I love this company 💗 I’ve ordered from them (from PA) several times to send to my children for special occasions. Every time it was very last minute and I was treated wonderfully and the cookie pkgs arrived as I envisioned — to my daughter in NYC and she was thrilled and to my son in CA and he was delighted! While I’ve never personally tasted your treats (yet), my children tell me they are absolutely deluscious 😍! Thank you for taking such good care of my special requests every time!“
