“Where else are you going to get your Zhengyalov Hatz?!Where else can you go that the only question the cashier asks is "how many?"This place is just selling their one herby thing, and damn do they know how to make it. A nice quick pre-movie snack“
“The doughnuts here are very interesting and unique. They are pretty good a little busy and definitely bougie. I would recommend giving them a try. They are very pretty but they have a lot going on. The s'more doughnut was quite delicious.“
“In search of a good french pastry place in the LA area so drove here to try it. Overall 3.5/5 Mixed Berry Tart 4.5/5 Strawberry Pistachio Croissant 4/5 Butter Croissant 4/5 Kouign Amann - 2/5 If you live in the area, definitely a good pastry store that's close to home.“
“Came here to try their Pan de Elote and their Chocolate Cake. The Pan de Elote was amazing - specially topped with ice cream! The Chocolate Cake was too dense and sweet for my liking but definitely coming back for their Pan de Elote! They have their own lot so parking was easy for us.“
“Try to get here as early as you can! I got here probably at 9.40 AM-ish. Definitely a pricey pastry BUT worth to try (and come back to). Probably one of the best croissants I’ve ever had in LA. Flake to perfection, inside is very buttery soft and fluffy. Atmosphere is very cozy and nice to work.“
“They have very delicious pastries and sandwiches…. Sheessh! The service was very good and welcoming and the effort was very amazing. This place has a deli too next time will try but the sandwiches came with a lot of fresh ingredients and very tasty too. Awesome selection of flavors. The cookies and cakes are bomb too!“
“- Highly recommend! Excellent overall experience. Great prices. Great cubano sandwich. Clean and lively atmosphere. No pestering for tips on payment screen. Friendly service.- The only constructive criticism is that they delivered every item we bought (bread, drinks, sandwich, croissant role) apart by about 2-3 minutes (annoying). I'd prefer you just bring everything all at once.“
“Cookies like no other! I love the excitement of checking the weekly menu every Sunday and seeing the big reveal. I went to the location in Cerritos for the first time while my car was being serviced and have been back at least 3 times. So satisfying!! Waiting to see what’s available next week!“
“I probably come here more often than I should. Its definitely not good for my health and calorie intake but the cookies here are just so damn good. I love how they switch the flavors every week so you don't get bored. Everything I've tried has been solid. No complaints.“
“Cute outdoor cafe with delicious scones and tea. My party had a variety of flavors and everyone enjoyed their choices. My favorites are the matcha white chocolate , ube coconut and chocolate chip. The options for vegetarian sandwiches and vegan/gluten free scones were yummy and appreciated.“
“The service could not have been any nicer. So pleasant. I drove quite a ways to get here, and I was not disappointed. Finally something exciting and refreshing instead of the same old flavours. I had the black sesame cheesecake, and a chocolate Hong Kong cookie. I had never had anything like it before. I really hope this place keeps doing well, because the food is really special.“
“1903... wow. A friend bought a box of mochi here and I was able to try some. I'm not big on mochi since I'm just so so with red bean filling, which is most common. The mochi was pillowy soft though. I'm glad I got to try it from this place. If you're looking for mochi in Sacramento, Osaka-Ya is just as good!“
“I highly recommend Yvonne‘s vegan kitchen. Yvonne has some of the best desserts, breads, and pastries that you can’t find anywhere else. I literally drive from Orange County all the way out to Pasadena because her desserts and bread are so amazing. Yvonne goes above and beyond and she is a very kind-hearted Soul and I would not want to put my money into any other business. Yvonne made a special birthday pie for me years ago over six years ago and I still think about it to this day. That’s how amazing it was.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten free friendly“
“Tiny little bakery, in little Tokyo specializing in Asian baked goods. It was packed so I didn't look at everything they had, but they had plenty of good looking sweet stuff to ruin your Hollywood diet. I just grabbed snacks to take on my travels. I snagged a bag of melon pan and it looks and taste just like anime told me it would. Also got a couple steamed buns, sadly they were sold out of anko, but I got pork and curry. Haven't tried those yet, but the melon pan got me excited for them.“
“What a delightful bakery and coffee shop! I stumbled upon this gem looking around Chinatown for some boba. Their drinks are on the steeper side but they are so good!! Even the cups are cute. I saved my cup after the boba cause the quality of it is so well made that I have to use it again. For 2 milk tea bobas it was $11.They specialize in custom cakes and had a few on display that were mind blowing. The Hello Kitty goth cake was next level. You can find baked treats, custards, mini cakes, and snow ice here ☺️?There’s some seating inside and along the window a few tables and chairs. It’s a delightful spot to look out and gaze at busy Chinatown.Parking is available along the streets in metered spots.Everyone working there was super nice and the service was fast despite the line.“
“Love their speciality drinks and fun breads and pastries. I got the curry pan and the strawberry sakura latte and both were really good. The floral and berry flavors worked nicely with the coffee but the sakura flavor wasn’t super strong. Pretty centrally located in Little Tokyo and the staff are really nice. There were a few tables inside but I took my order to go.“
“I had their Tiramisu cake slice. Kinda dry. Staff was more interested in having their own conversations than taking my order. I felt like I waited forever but probably was more like 5 minutes for them to finally take my order. I also had their chocolate chip cookies. Definitely delicious.“
“Overall I really liked the look and feel of the space. I love the various spots you can sit at to enjoy a cup of matcha or coffee. I loved the light that comes through the trees and that they offer free books to read while you're there! I thought the goat cheese/spinach croissant and sweet cream matcha drink were both very delicious and would recommend trying. The only thing I would say is parking is limited so you'd most likely have to park down the street in the neighborhood. Also, there aren't a lot of tables, so it is kind of hard to eat what you ordered. For example, I came here with two friends, where we each ordered a drink and croissant... and we only had one tiny coffee table to balance everything haha. The service was good and it's dog-friendly here too. It was kind of loud when we were here, so this cafe would be a decent spot for light-reading/studying or just a place to chit-chat!“
“This is where my mom would get banh mis for us when I was little and I just recently re-discovered them! The #1 Thit Nguoi or cold cuts is my version of THEE traditional banh mi. There's no where else you need to go. The fresh bread is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. When you order, you can choose from the football shape or the baguette shaped bread. Scratch pate, cold cuts, daikon, carrots, cilantro, and thinly shaved jalapeños. Service is straightforward and fast! Corner store vibes but Vietnamese :) Parking is also plentiful. Ugh my heart is so happy!!“
“Wonderful, and super tasty! I was welcomed like family my second time visiting. Joesph has an amazing gift with people and baking! I have been back a couple times since and the yummy spinach pies, lahmajune, and good vibes have been my go to! Simple, yummy, and comfort snacking. Enjoy“
“Parking is a little challenging. The restaurant is on the corner of Jackson and another street I forget. There is a little lot but you have to come in from a different street-Not on Jackson. There are about 3 30 min parking spots right in front of the restaurant on another street which is your best bet. Inside they had a nice range of Armenian pasty and baked goods. We got a slice of the Birds Milk cake which was phenomenal. We also tried the mikado which was very interesting and good in its own way. No photos because we scoffed it down. The young lady helping us was very sweet.“
“This bakery was doing free, Easter cookie decorating kits for the kids. The presentation for the kids was really above and beyond but the real gem was the gentleman behind the counter. He was super nice and interacted with the kids in a really great way. I can’t wait to come back here again.“
“This was the perfect size mini pies for all your cravings. Sweet & savory- love it! We purchased an order of 6 for 4 of us and left 2 for our host. Had the key lime, berry, variety of others. Didn't try savory pies but those looked yummy! We will be back“
“One of my favorite eateries in the world. I’m from France and this is one of the few places that is as indulgent as home with their baked goods. They made me a beautiful birthday cake years ago despite an unusual flavor request. Their biscuit-bun burger is delicious and the terrace is an awesome cozy spot to hang out. A must try if you’re in the area!“
“Pleasant experience having lunch here today. I went along with my husband as we were doing some business in the area. The spicy cheese beorek was the highlight of our lunch although the Armenian pizza was also great. I will definitely use again.“
“Delicious lava cream and a nice fresh flaky mooncake that reminds me of hopia from the Philippines! The ube mooncake/hopia was also so good and fresh! The ube paste filling is fresh and smooth, which I gotta say actually beats the Filipino ube hopia! Only little comment is that the ube mooncakes are much smaller compared to the lava filled mooncakes. Will definitely be coming back here!!! ?“
“I came here to try the cakes. We got the sampler box and was so impressed with the cakes itself. They were extremely tasty, flavorful and rich with flavor. The service was great. It was a small little place with some seating outside. There is also a coffee shop next door if you want to grab some coffee to eat with your cake. We really liked the ube cake, black sesame, Belgian chocolate and lavender lemon.“
“NO CASH ACCEPTED HERE -- first thing to know if you're coming here A pretty, little cafe that serves beautiful sandwiches that are as great to eat as they are to look at. My friend and I both ordered our own sandwiches and they each came with a nice side salad. Both dishes came with VERY fresh ingredients and I've been craving to return since I first tried it Smoked salmon bahn mi - 10/10. It was so tasty even though it wasn't anything like what a traditional bahn mi is like. The lettuce and mint used in the sandwich were crunchy and super fresh and the pickled jalapeños used added a nice dimension to the sandwich Side salad - 8/10. I would have enjoyed it more but it was much too drenched with oil/lemon (not sure what they use here. It was good regardless but the dressing used was overwhelming)“
“Kevin (Owner) takes the utmost pride in his coffee and the experience of his customers. Give yourself a little extra time / patience for parking but make the effort to indulge yourself in this amazing gem in Silverlake. Totally worth it.Kid-friendliness: I always encourage talking to your barista. Never complain if you don’t speak up. I guarantee that if your drink or food isn’t what you expected they will make it right. Enjoy!“
“Recently, I had the pleasure of trying out this bakery and it exceeded my expectations. The pastries were simply delicious and fresh. But what truly made the experience really great was the friendly and attentive staff. They greeted me with warm smiles and had excellent customer service. Overall, I highly recommend Art's bakery. Thank you!“
“I had the most delicious pastries here. The pies are insane. As are the buns and muffins . Sure it's a bit pricey but this is a small business that needs major volume to drop prices. Ish is amazing and passionate about his treats - it really shows!! loves it.“
“Nice and cool looking coffee shop. I tried the Spanish latte, the blueberry smoothie, the smores cookie, and two banana chocolate chip muffins. It was soo good, I loved all of it.Location: It's on the 2nd floor across from the sushi place. Once you get to the top of the first part of the stairs, make a right, and the coffee shop is in there. The coffee shop has a sweet lady who is very excited to see people come in. It's located in a private spot due to the number of closed shops on the same floor, so definitely stop by here and support this sweet lady. She works on her own and she always has the biggest smile. You can tell she enjoys making the drinks and food. Also, it's a great place to get cooled off. It's got nice seating on the side of the coffee shop and a gorgeous mural you can see.Wheelchair accessibility: Sadly, it's not wheelchair accessible :(“
“My bff brought home 2 vegan pan dulces from here, they were tasty , but not mind blowing. Props & blessings to Them though for making vegan items . I had a pumpkin empanada & concha type pan: too dry imo. I'll recommend cuz they're vegan, but I won't purchase or travel here. Can't opine on the price or parking or staff as I didn't visit the site.“
“Ordered the 12" Square famous Strawberry Whipped Crème cake for our monthly office birthday celebrations-- and it was a total hit for 40 sweet tooth employees (serves up to 50 I think). Very fresh and sweet fruits and the whipped crème was light and delicious. Cake also moist and just a touch of sweet. Easy to cut but it's a very tall cake so needed help to keep the slices in tact haha I was in awe watching the owner (?) freestyle write a birthday message on the cake with such ease. Very kind staff (even made sure we wanted the nuts on the outside out of concern for any food allergies). Would order again for sure and look forward to trying more of their confections!“
“The food is so tasty and fresh! Their Ube Cheesecake didn't disappoint and I can taste the Ube afterwards. The Ube Latte is great along with a bit of a Latte Art! And the lady at the counter was kind, patient and helpful!l The inside of this coffee shop is adorable and found this decorative piece tucked away in the back ...“
“I couldn't have been happier with our wedding cake! It was exactly like the reference photo and so delicious. I was having doubts about the other cake we had booked elsewhere so I canceled and two weeks before. I almost just gave up and ordered a cake from Costco and then I found Takes the Cake and thankfully they were still taking orders. They were kind, easy to order from and clearly did an amazing job bringing my vision to life! Everyone at my wedding loved the cake. It was perfect.“
“This location is rather new. They have no public restrooms but great parking options. The location was nice and line moved quickly. They only had one line open for ordering which caused a little line. We got the raspberry heart cookie, lemon iced and the heart sprinkle sugar. They were a little undercooked but still tasty. This is more like a self serve. The gal that gave us are order was really nice. Ten out of ten recommend downloading the app. They have great deals on the app.“
“I have been a regular customer at Nice for at least five years. Getting my morning coffee here is always a treat, both for the impeccable coffee and for the customer service. The staff is warm, and the vibe is always light, even though they are working hard. They're located in a busy plaza in DTLA. They receive all kinds of customers and treat everyone well, and efficiently fulfill orders. I cannot speak more highly of Nice, the coffee, and the people that work there.“
“An Echo Park staple with the greatest cakes and bread. Ive been coming here since I was a child and it brings me so much joy to patron a long standing family owned business. They're so friendly and always have an awesome selection of treats!“
“Van Bakery's pastries are so delicious and pretty that my guests couldn't have enough. Every one were asking where I ordered them. Cookies are also so delicious and pretty. I will always buy there anything I need. Prices also reasonable. Thank you Van Bakery for an outstanding work.“
“Delicious!! We had 24 cupcakes made for my mother's 84th birthday party with the adorable decoration added on. Needless to say they were a fantastic hit. Everyone working there is so helpful and professional,we told everyone and can't wait to repeat business with them Bravo you guys.“
“Was looking for a place that was local and had amazing reviews/flavors. Mwokaji did not disappoint! Prompt responses to emails and very reasonable pricing, not to mention DELICIOUS flavors. I reached out in May hoping for a simple cake to celebrate the one year elopement anniversary for my husband and I. The cake came out just as I requested, and again was absolutely delicious. We chose passion fruit filling with fresh strawberry and mangoes. Super unique and super delicious. Thank you so much again Tamara! Can't wait to order once we have another event to celebrate. So sorry I slept so long on this review!“
“For all espresso snobs, it's legit! I was pleasantly surprised. I got a latte. Never get syrups or sugar and very balanced and smooth. Interesting notes. Really nice. Milk was great texture and temperature. I don't live close but anytime I'm in the area I know where I'm going. Just leaving this review so anyone else who is a coffee snob can also find a good coffee.Vegetarian options: Vegan cookie was really nice“
“If you're looking for a pastry that make you pause conversation so you can fully enjoy it, this is the place to go. Get the Swedish cardamom bun or the kouign-amann if you're feeling something sweet. If you prefer savory, try the Gruyère + thyme croissant or cheddar chive scone.Street sweeping days nearby are Mon + Tues, if you'd like to choose a more convenient day. But it's delightful enough to be worth a faraway park and walk.“
“Came here on a rainy day with my dog and loved what a great spot this was. It was pretty dead but the coffee selection was great (although espresso was a little burnt), there is ample space for your dog outside and inside. Highly recommend the empanadas!“
“One of my pit stops when I pass by Chinatown. Get your dimsum to go, in and out. You don't come here for service, you come here for cheap comfort food and speed. Cash is preferred, after the pandemic they now accept credit cards with a $10 minimum order. Recommendations: special chicken bao, pork shumai, bbq pork rice roll, bbq pork bun, hom gok, and sesame balls.Parking: Metered parking all over.“
“We have passed this donut shop for well over 20 plus years....out and about. Boston I decided to drop in and give it a shot coffee is better than Starbucks and their Maple covered donut outstanding. Young lady behind the counter extremely joyful.“
“Recently moved to the area and been driving by this place for a while. Finally took a short walk to it and was blown away with how amazing the food was! Got a goat cheese tart and blueberry cheesecake muffin and were blown away. The lavender syrup she has for the drinks was delicious and the seating and atmosphere is simply lovely. Will be coming back here as soon as we can!“
“What an absolute gem this shop is. We had our wedding cake made by Pastries by Nancy & oh boy it did not disappoint. When we had to go try cakes from different vendors, all we could talk about was the cakes from this shop. The owner was also very helpful & knowledgeable about the cakes & what could & wouldn’t work. I remember being most excited to have cake at the wedding more than the other parts of the wedding! We love their cake so much we are going to come back for a slice every year on our anniversary.“
