“On a recommendation I took my 12 year old grandson for a treat. I personally am not a seafood person. The staff was amazing. The chef chatted with him as my grandson was telling him over and over again how great the food was. Let me tell you this boy had the best meal. This was over a week ago and he’s still talking about the oysters, mussels, and the hamachi crudo he had. He had seconds on his oysters 🦪. He said that was the best meal ever. “We are from Connecticut, and during a recent trip to the Bay Area, we had the extreme good fortune to try the Afghan Awasana Kabob House. Oh my ... what an experience! The food was superb … an epicurean delight, but also plentiful, and very reasonably priced. The qabuli palow - a lamb shank dish was a standout, and the squash bolani - a stuffed flatbread was out of this world. The owner was very friendly during dinner, only to be surpassed by what happened after our dinner. Upon leaving, our car would not start. The owner offered to jump start our car. When that did not work, he offered us a ride back to the house where we were staying ... which we gratefully accepted. On the way, while we were thanking him profusely, he indicated that this was not an imposition as he routinely gave rides to his workers. I was moved to tears with his generosity. The Afghan Awasana Kabob House stimulated my palate, satiated my appetite, and above all, nourished my soul with renewed faith in the kindness of humanity. A truly memorable evening that will not soon be forgotten.”

“Atmosphere, good drinks (yes plural) and pleasant accommodating wait staff is what makes Posada one of my favorite high-end places to eat. The phenomenal sauces combined with items cooked perfectly make this one of (if not THE) best restaurant in Livermore. Latin meals are their wheel-house; no doubt, Full-stop. With that said, what’s not in their wheel-house are steaks. Don’t get me wrong here, preparation was unparalleled, quality of the meat was another. Quite sub-par for the price. Over all thought, a terrific place to go.”

“Been trying new taquerias in the trivalley. Came here specifically because they have a California burrito on the menu.

Inside is very clean. They have a salsa bar with tortilla chips and something unique, Duritos. (Circle Wheat chips with an X in the middle).

We ordered a California burrito, Al pastor taco, and horchata. The horchata was “home made” and definitely tasted different the branded horchata I’m used to.

California burrito:. Has carne asada, fries, sour cream, guacamole, Monterey cheese, and pico. The burrito was hot and everything felt incorporated versus some taco shops just put cold ingredients together. Burrito was split between the wife and I and it was very filling. Melty cheese pull was a nice touch to know they didn’t skimp on ingredients. My only criticism is that the fries are soggy. If they deep fry it to a super crispy texture would make this SO MUCH better.

Al pastor taco: was good. They offered a handmade tortilla which was a little extra. The Al pastor wasn’t carved off of a “spit” or doesn’t appear to be since the cuts appear more clumpy. Otherwise flavor was there and solid.

Service was prompt and they also bus your table after your done. Overall worth the stop, will come back since there’s a few things on the menu I’d like to come back and try.”

“One of my absolute favorite, places to order. Despite the prices might be a little high, it is well worth it. The fact that they are able to have a spice level for almost any kind of person, makes Dave’s Hot Chicken versatile for any occasion. I always make sure to have the Dave’s #2 with two sliders and fries. Make sure not to skimp out on the pickles, they balance out the spiciness of the chicken meat itself. Speaking of spiciness, their spice blend is incredible and is especially good for the medium and hot spice levels. Service is always good and you get your food quite quickly after you order. Just in general a top fried chicken place in Dublin. Hundred percent worth it. Top tier. By far.”

“Stopped by Sushi Ken and was welcomed with complimentary edamame, a nice touch to start things off. Ordered the Spicy Lover sushi and it was great, exactly the right level of heat and I enjoyed it so much I ordered a second set to take home.

That's where the consistency issue comes in. The to-go order didn't have nearly as much heat as the one I had at the restaurant, which was disappointing. When something is that good you want it to be the same every time. I'd urge the restaurant to stay consistent across dine-in and to-go orders because the gap was noticeable.

Service was quick and my server was friendly throughout. The dine-in experience was solid overall and I'll definitely be back. Just hope they sort out the consistency issue because the Spicy Lover when done right is absolutely worth ordering again and again.”
