“Masa-san serves chef's choice, and the food is fresh and delicious. Eating here is an extremely delightful experience. The sweet shrimp with eggs is one of my favorites. Always finish your meal with at least 1 (maybe 2 or ...) of his blue crab rolls. The crab is carefully hand-pulled, the rice is warm, and the seaweed is crisp. We got 2 bento boxes (salmon and beef) tonkatsu ramen (thick slices of chashu!!!) and 2 specialty rolls - Venus and Uranus. “Love Jo&Go Sushi. They saved me when we first moved to LA and while the house was being remodeled.

4 years later... it's still as good as first discovered. It's a neighborhood gem inside the Korean Greenland Mrkt, which btw, is also awesome.

Must try is the salmon bowl, the salmon slices are so tender and buttery... they give you a crazy amount of salmon over the rice and seriously it's enough to have a 2nd meal! One note about the bowl... I'm not a fan of drenching really good cooked rice with sauce, so I always order without the sauce. The rice is not sushi rice which makes it even more delicious... the rice is always perfectly cooked. You get a miso soup and a cute little container of pickled radish (delish). I would love to know where they source the fish... it's like being in Japan, it's so fresh.

“Now it is Osumo Sushi- the food is still just as good as it when it was run by mostly Japanese people. Jose and the others were super nice. First time eating since the change of ownership in 2020. Did time go by that quickly?? lol

Have been eating here for 7 years now -it is our favorite go to place when we have friends or family visiting from out of town, or a celebration.
The staff has always given us something for free- sake, mochi, or an extra roll.
I dislike fish, but decided to give it a go here. I am hooked! Pun intended!

The food has always been fresh, and the prices are better than you would find at most places. It is never very crowded, except for Friday and Saturday nights.
Everyone we bring to Sumo Sushi- even from other countries say the food is better than average.

We shared a bento box with mixed tempura, mixed sushi, and sashimi, and were blown away by the variety and balance. The Heart Attack (fried jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese and topped with spicy tuna) was absolute fire--bold, indulgent, and perfectly crispy.

The Toro and salmon were melt-in-your-mouth perfection--fresh, buttery, and honestly some of the best I've had anywhere in L.A.

Our server, Samantha, was fantastic--warm, attentive, and clearly knew the menu well. She made great recommendations and timed everything perfectly.

This place is a sushi lover's dream, without the pretense or the inflated prices of trendy spots. The prices are really affordable and the quality top notch.
