“Swing Inn, Temecula, CA is located right in the heart of Old Town Temecula. My family and I had been wanting to try their food for a while, and we finally made it there for lunch.

Before you're seated, a staff member outside will ask whether you prefer indoor or outdoor seating. We ordered the Family Platter for $159, which is meant to serve 2–4 people. It was huge! All the meats were flavorful and so tender, they were easy to cut and even easier to enjoy. We couldn’t finish everything, so we asked for a to-go box and saved the rest for dinner.

There’s free parking behind the Swing Inn, which is super convenient.

By the way—did you know that actor Dean Norris from the Netflix series Breaking Bad took over the Swing Inn? My kids were hoping to meet him, but unfortunately, he wasn’t there when we visited. Some people said he does occasionally stop by as a surprise, though, so you might get lucky!

If you're planning to visit, I highly recommend sitting outdoors. Yes, it can be hot during the summer, but they have misters to help cool you down, and you’ll get a nice view of Old Town. Just keep in mind that it can be a bit noisy due to music from the pub across the street and passing cars. If you prefer a quieter and more private dining experience, indoor seating might be a better choice.“

“My husband and I went yesterday. The views are magical. it felt like we traveled very far to find this enchanted place. Even though it's very convenient located in Temecula wine country. it's just a wonderful escape from the noisy buisiness of life. “Dining in the restaurant proved to be more enjoyable than when we did takeout a couple years ago. We sat in a comfortable booth, water brought to the table lickety split. We ordered shrimp spring rolls and each of us the large Pho Ga (chicken pho). Spring rolls are big but peanut sauce was only so so. The pho ga was epic. Came with fish sauce which was a plus. Great flavor and enough for 2 meals. Service was excellent and the young waiter's were very polite. Easy upgrade to 5 stars and yes, we will be back.“

“I've been coming here for a decade. Before my dad passed, it was our place for breakfast. My birthday is in a couple of days, so we came in on a Sunday for breakfast. The place was busy, and all the servers seemed to be keeping up, and we were served and seated quickly and largely taken care of like one of the family.

My only thought on the food this last time in is eh. It's still a great place, but some things I noticed, the coffee cake was not very good, it was tough and stale. This may be due to it being busy, and the coffee cakes are free. But I got the Country Benedict. When she dropped the food, i noticed my eggs were fried more than poached, and I needed about double the amount of gravy.

Every other time have been great so I would not hesitate to return or stop in.“
