“Food was as good as always, just the preparing of the food took twice as long. This was fine with me while I cooled down with my refreshment in a well air conditioned jack in the box. Still the staff needs to pick up or add 2 additional workers.“
“Figured I would write a review after eating here multiple times a week for a couple years. These are the best tacos in Los Angeles. Always high quality and always delicious. The staff is always excellent and everything is always positive. Wishing them all nothing but the best!“
“Everything we tried here is beyond delicious and we tried almost everything on the menu! I wish I had more stomach space because the flavor is top notch. The Bulgogi taco is different from anything I've ever tried but the meat just melts in your mouth! The asada and pollo were delicious but the al pastor, shrimp and birria tacos were the stars of the show for us! Perfect flavor combinations and definitely not your average taco- and this is coming from a Mexicana lol. The service is also amazing. The guys are ready to serve with a friendly smile and offer suggestions. The space is clean and offers ample seating. Overall we loved it here and will definitely be back next time we're in the area!“
“Family owned and operated truck located in Boyle Heights / East LA area that specializes in tacos arabes and goodies from Puebla in general. The tacos arabes were a result of Lebanese immigrants to the area and boy are they delicious. I came here later on a Thursday night so it wasn't very busy and it was pretty chill. Just a few other people around me. The folks here were friendly and helpful. I ordered:A taco arabe especiale- their signature taco with their marinated roast pork on this soft flower tortilla. This was topped Oaxacan cheese and slices of avocado (especiale). There was this chipotle sauce on top of everything. The sauce added some smokiness to an already great flavor and texture profile. I really liked that flour tortilla. Quesadilla de flor de calabaza - zucchini blossoms with melted Oaxacan cheese inside a blue corn tortilla. Love corn and I love this. Nice and chewy with earthy and slightly sweet flavors to go along with their delicious salsaDefinitely recommend for tacos/ quesadillas etc etc or if you are just in the mood for something a little different.“
“Best Carnitas, awesome customer service, very attentive, and very quick. We love coming here to enjoy with our family,Highly Recommend Carnitas El Momo in Monterrey Park!Parking: Plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Definitely a kid friendly placeWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Just finished eating here. Everything was DELICIOUS. Everyone is so welcoming, and make sure you're well taken care of. ? The food was beyond my expectations. As a Mexican and home cook, this place exceeded my expectations, and my taste buds were beyond happy. The spicy sauce actually had a great kick ?. The menu is simple, but it doesn't need anything else. The Aguas frescas had just the right amount of sweetness. They were actually refreshing, I only wish some ice was added. The presentation of the food was BEAUTIFUL. The chef definitely takes pride in the food served, and the attention to detail is evident . I'm so glad we live so close. Will definitely continue to come to this hidden gem. Thank you for such a pleasant experience. I can't wait to try the rest of the dishes here.“
“I eat here every week after climbing at the nearby gym. They are friendly people. BEST cabeza, so juicy. Cabeza Mulitas are amazing especiallywith the green sauce and lime--? perfection! My friends and I usually get cabeza, al pastor, tripas, suadero, among others. Their champurrado seems more authentic than some of the other local taco trucks I've tried. It actually has the corn flour--great for cold weather. They don't have the veggie/sauce bar here, but you can ask for them. Located at the Arcadia Parking lot on Santa Clara and Huntington.“
“Quick and fast taco stands. Now they support the credit card payment. Eric is welcoming and serves the neighborhood very well until the midnight. The protein of stewed pork and the al pastor is nice while I hope they could use corn tortillas instead of the flour ones.“
“This place is a classic. The best bean cheese burritos in town. The fries and tacos are super crispy crunchy and tasty. I’ve been coming here for years. The prices are good the food and service rock. This place has looked and tasted the same for years. Consistently good. Ten out of ten recommend. The parking is a bit challenging but worth it.“
“Without a doubt the best lunch truck in Cali!! Being a truck driver who has been coming to Cali for 30 years and have visted lunch trucks thru out the state makes me an authority on the subject. So you can believe me when I say they're the best. I've eaten here for over a decade and have never been disappointed once. The team that operates it are also the best. Give it a try. You will definitely not go anywhere else again if you do.“
“Hands down, the best, best birria tacos I've ever had!!I've been eyeing this taco truck for the longest time when I was looking for birria tacos. I missed the chance to go from the last time I came by. Many other taco vendors also recommend this truck for goat birria tacos. We got some goat birria quesatacos, labio taco dorados, which were lips, asada vampiro, and of course, gotta get consome. Not many places have goat birria, and most of the time, they tend to be too dry. Those quesatacos were super tender, juicy, cheesy, and packed with tons of spices and flavors. Dipping in the beefy, hardy consome, game over. I've never seen beef lips before, so I gotta give a try. It got the texture of beef tongue, also quite delicious. Like any other taco trucks and vendors, service is always impeccable. Everyone is very friendly and supportive to other vendors. I said it once, and I'm gonna say it again. The best birria tacos!!!“
“The fish tacos are so good! We also tried the shrimp burritos and the tortas, everything was cooked quickly and had great flavor. The portions are huge and the service was also great. The only thing I didn’t like is that it’s outdoor seating only and it can be packed quickly, but everything else was so good, definitely recommend!“
“let me tell keep this description short and straight up: fresh handmade corn tortillas, homestyle braised meat, everything you're looking for in a taco There was free parking (a plus) and the service was super FAST! we didn't wait for more than 5 minutes for our food. there's seating indoor and outdoor. The patio was really nice to sit and eat at because they had heaters and it's entirely covered and shaded. Here's what we ordered: -the OG sampler ($10.49) - includes 6 mini tacos of steak picado, bistek en salsa roja, tinga de pollo, mole poblano, chicarron, & cochinita pibil -tinga de pollo (normal sized $3.79) -cochinita pibil (normal sized $3.79) - we got this with a medium spice level but this was SPICY!! I am someone with pretty high spice tolerance and the spice on this got me“
“All I can say is.... WOW!! Come try the food here because it is delicious and FULL of flavor. Usually you expect the same cookie cutter flavor for tacos/burritos/etc but not here. You will find true flavor and quality here. I wasn't the one to pick up our food today but they even tossed in complimentary hot chocolate with our order so I can only imagine how welcoming and friendly the service must be. Would definitely order from again, thank you!“
“This is a gem of a family run restaurant. The specialty is their house-made birria, served in a wide range of dishes. We've tried the quesa birria, the torta de birria, and the amazing birria ramen. The ramen was what drew us to this charming place, and is what keeps us coming back. They have a generous parking lot at the side of the building. They are also wheelchair and mobility scooter accessible.“
“Honestly my favorite Mexican food spot. I've tried so many things here and none have disappointed. The fried quesadilla , gorditas, tacos de papa, Tinga, are a few of the many things I've had and all of them are a 10/10. I also Love the señoras that help take the order , they are the nicest sweetest ladies.“
“I came in to get a cafe de olla but decided to take the tres leches pancakes Togo I was so glad I did they were delicious, Lorena took my order she was friendly, professional even gave me some fried small gorditas to try , will definitely be back to try their chilaquiles next time..fYI - pancake plate was a great size good to share!! Thank you Lorena !“
“This was a pit stop on the way to the Bay Area from Palm Springs. I’m a veggie and so it was great to see good choices of tacos - potato, cauliflower and brusel sprout here. They were all delicious and of the highest quality but the brussels were a standout. Definitely worth a detour off the freeway!! Service was also the best.“
“# 129 Review for 2024 ***A Culinary Journey: Authenticity, Tradition, and Flavor Explosion at Tacos Los Palomos*** Overall 5 Stars***** If there's a sacred haven for taco enthusiasts, Tacos Los Palomos is it. Nestled in East LA, this gem embodies the essence of Mexican street food culture. As a self-proclaimed taco inspector, stumbling upon this treasure was a stroke of luck, unraveling a tapestry of flavors that transported me to the heart of culinary authenticity. What sets these taco trucks apart is their unwavering commitment to tradition. It's not just about tacos; it's a testament to preserving heritage, using time-honored recipes and seasonings that make each bite an homage to Mexican street cuisine. The sheer variety of flavors--Lengua, Buche, Tripa, Suadero, and Cueritos--each bursting with its own distinct taste, left an indelible mark on my taste buds. But let's talk about the salsa, specifically the chipotle; it deserves its own accolades. It's not just a condiment; it's a flavor symphony that elevates every taco to a divine experience. Yet, beyond the culinary prowess, these taco trucks serve as a conduit to nostalgia and cultural roots. They transcend the realm of mere dining; they're gateways to cherished memories and a taste of home. Each bite feels like a reunion with flavors that resonate with a deep sense of belonging. Tacos Los Palomos isn't just a taco truck; it's an emblem of community, tradition, and an odyssey through the rich tapestry of Mexican culinary heritage. In a world where authenticity often gets diluted, this place stands tall as a beacon of genuine flavors and cultural significance. In short, if you seek not just a meal but an expedition into the soul of Mexican street cuisine, Tacos Los Palomos deserves not just five stars but a standing ovation for keeping the flame of tradition alive in every savory taco they serve.“
“I love to come to this taco stand; the service is always prompt and the owners are very kind. The food is absolutely incredible and they usually have an Agua Fresca (horchata most of the time) and it's always delicious as well. They accept cash or zelle!“
“I've been going to this same taco truck for over 25 years, the name has changed once over the years but the people, truck and flavors remained the same. These tacos have been "turn to" after a game night in highschool when I was a teen, a night at the clubs & bars in Old Town when I was dating and now with my wife and kids. I LOVE THIS PLACE AND THE PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE.“
“Ordered the Dynamite shrimp. Great flavor with large enough shrimp and good quantity. Came with white rice and cabbage. Added the avocado, I think it's a must.Location was clean, simple and staff was nice. Can't complain about anything. Would go back and try other meals.“
“I must say, I dont eat birria tacos that much, but this was fantastic. Came here on a Saturday night and there was a line. If theres a line, you have to assume that its pretty decent. Since we were out in the area, we really wanted Chinese food, but this place just kept on calling our name. We got the tacos with cheese and the consume on the side. The tacos were so juicy and flavorful an the cheese was just oozing out of the tacos. The consume was salty and almost like a beef broth. 3 tacos were definitely a decent amount since we also ordered other food from a different restaurant. Like all food trucks, there is no where to sit unless its the sidewalk. They also have a variety of other options like burritos, tortas, and quesadillas if tacos arent your thing. Staff was friendly and everything was made hot and quick. It was so hot that my food was still steaming. Would definitely come back again!“
“Decided to check out this place due to its high reviews. We found the owner or front person was very passionate about all the different styles of taco, burritos and nachos. We came in only desiring a snack, but then ending up ordering three meals due to all the choices that sounded so delicious. We really enjoyed their food, and they give you a great amount for the price. The ingredients were really good, and they give you lots of meat. I particularly loved the lengua and tripa (as they cooked it the way I liked it). The reason I give it one less star is the ambience. Its definitely a mom and pops restaurant and the lighting is very dim. Otherwise, the food was good and the prices are great! The owner is so awesome and provides good service too!“
“i never leave reviews but this has been so wonderful i had to!! all the staff went out of their way to welcome me in. The patio was adorable. The food came out so quickly, and was delicious (and i moved here from texas!) highly recommend :)“
“These guys make some of the best tacos in town . I tried the Volcan taco that is delicious their quesadillas . Tacos in general their delicious I highly recommended to all my friends and family already . Also the guys there are very great with people . Their good“
“I had the taco pastor with like a cheesy taco shell onion, cilantro, the works. It was absolutely the best taco I have ever had in my life. They were $3.00 each and worth every single coin. I was off my diet for one day and wanted tacos. Now I am thinking to extend my day off to two days. I bought three tacos and they were so meaty. And the owner was super kind and soft spoken. It is 5am and I wish I had of purchased 10 tacos. They were just that good.“
“I'm very big on customer service and great food and this place has both. A restaurant can have the best food but if their customer service sucks then it's a no go for me. Customer service was really great and the food was fresh and delicious! I highly recommend!Parking: Decent parking lot with plenty of parking.“
“Best tacos al Vapor, estilo Jalisco never disappoint me. Super clean meat no fat or nerve. Super safe for small kids since meat melts in your mouth easily.Kid-friendliness: Super soft meat with no bones or hard Meats easi for kids to bite and swallow“
“Small family restaurant but top service and delicious food!!! Whatever you eat is very tasty. ? And a Mexican says it. ??Moms and pops small family restaurant; great customer service and the best Mexican food you can ever have. 100% recommended (and this is coming from a Mexican). ?“
“Delicious tacos. Stopped by here on a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty quiet and not a lot of people at the time so I was worried the food may not be too good but that was definitely not the case. Delicious fresh tasting food and excellent service. Everyone working was very friendly.“
“I can’t say enough nice things about Teddy and Teddy’s. The food is deliciously fresh and bursts with flavor. Teddy always remembers our daughter when she visits from Boston and welcomes her. Go. You’ll be so happy you did. And do get a red mulita.“
“We stopped by late for our midnight munchies meal. We ordered three different tacos and a bean & cheese burrito with the hottest sauce. The older gentleman told me to add the hot chili myself because he wasn't sure I could handle the heat. I laughed and told him bring it on and that I love hot chili. The food was really good and that chili was hot and it crept up and was burning my mouth at the end of my meal.“
“Food is great from here. It seems like a simple taco stand but it isn't. They are super friendly and try to go as fast as they can to go through the line. Never had a problem with problem even if it is on the street haven't found a problem. The top choices I like to choose are pastor, lengua, and asada. The lengua is different here since it doesn't have that chewiness that other places have and is super tender. The pastor is a gold char and marinate and the asada has a nice flavor from the grill. They have raw onions and some cooked ones if you ask them for it. Definitely one of my go to spots if I want some tacos.“
“Out of all the seafood places I've been to this has to be the best one yet. I have to say, as soon as you walk in the customer service is great The food was awesome and the atmosphere is nice. (Music/TV) This is our new seafood place and I can't wait to go back.“
“Love love love the cucadachaShrimp ....I'm sure I misspelled but all their shrimp are bomb and shrimp cocktails as well. My only complaint is Please UPDATE your online menu .....I ordered for my company and WOW we went off of the listed prices on menu on websiteDefinitely not updated , and increased by 2 to 3 dollars , I understand things are going up but then I as a customer should be able to count on the business to keep me updated on NEW PRICES , because your food is delicious ? people will still pay but kinda unfair to have that surprise when u get the final bill and it's 50 bucks more then calculated from online prices .Just a friendly suggestion, I love to refer people . Also small tacos not worth the price at all“
“The tacos with queso and nachos were the best. The vampiros and the mulitas were okay. I like that they serve "La Dichosa" with a large cup of consome and 3 different salsas as seen in the picture. The service was really good and I love the little decorations they have. I will definitely be coming back. They also have free coffee“
“What an unexpected delightful surprise! So glad my better half and I came here for dinner. Went to Dollar Tree to pick up some holiday decorations for work. All that browsing through Dollar Tree made us hungry. So pretty much our decisions as we exited the Dollar Tree parking lot were El Pollo Loco, Taco Bell or this place, Birria Masters. We decided we wanted to try something new and went with Birria Masters. We are so glad that we did. So here's the rundown: For ambiance, it's a food stand in a parking lot. Unpretentious, simple tables and benches. Does its job. Don't let it's appearance deter you from going. For service, there were three gentlemen. All were nice and inviting. Excellent customer service. We ordered the enchiladas queretanas and taquitos dorados. Food presentation and taste was unexpected. Both dishes were beautiful. What got me with the dishes is that they were elevated but in an understated way. They used microgreen sprouts. I love sprouts and if a place uses them in their plating, in my opinion, they are fancy fancy and they know what they are doing. The taste of both dishes were delicious as well. The meat was seasoned and cooked well. The produce they use was fresh and again, they used microgreen sprouts. I don't know any other food/taco stand that uses microgreen sprouts...do you? I don't think so. I think that if you are deciding on a place to go and have dinner, please give Birria Masters a try. I hope that when you try their food you will be pleasantly surprised as we were. Birria Masters is definitely a diamond in the rough.“
“I ate lunch here on a recent visit to Access Transportation Services (also located inside Commerce Commons). The crispy fish taco plate was so good! Not what you'd necessarily expect from a food court experience. The staff working here was also incredibly nice and seemed to really care about the service and food.Wheelchair accessibility: Not a wheelchair user, but I do walk on crutches. The cashier helped bring my order to the table. The location is also wheelchair accessible.“
“Taco joint in Whittier that serves up great street tacos at unbeatable prices. Stopped in to sample these since stayed last time up the street from this place and could smell the aromas so had to try?All tacos are 2 dollars (tax included) ordered 2 carne asada and 2 al pastor with everything on it. Didnt dissapoint at all, legit LA Tacos. Should have ordered 4 more to go but started to get a line so i passed. Would recommend, 5 stars??Parking: Limited number of parking in front and side of store“
“I always come here for their Specialty Taco trio !I really love their chicharrón, pork belly & chicken tacos. Always tender & flavorful and the salsa verde is my go to. Service is brief and your food comes out pretty fast as well.Overall, i always enjoy spending time at the Blvd Market! It's a chill spot to be during weekdays and busier on the weekends.“
“I have a thing for ordering big dishes without realizing it's big and I got these carne asada fries that were so good. Guacamole was a good acidic, and the carne asada was tender. Very big plate for 11 dollars, couldn't finish! Would recommend :)“
“This is one of 3 reviews, that will have the same introduction! I decided to do my own version of a "taco crawl" and tested out 3 taco trucks I've driven by and have been wanting to try out! All 3 are in the SGV, and I'm SO glad to have tried them! El Pastorcito Taco II is outside of the Arcadia Park off Santa Anita Ave & just south of Huntington Drive. Based on the name, Al Pastor is their specialty, so naturally I picked out the Al Pastor taco! With a smokey flavor, onions & cilantro and a nicely sliced piece of pineapple topping the taco, it was worth the $2.50 it cost, and was rich in taste! Staff here were friendly, though it wasn't a super busy weekday evening. No seating here, which is totally fine, and it is by a big parking lot, so plan ahead to eat in your car, especially since you want to eat it hot & fresh! No worries though, everything comes on a Styrofoam tray, works great! A decent variety of other items on their menu as well - definitely a go-to when I want to get some legit al pastor tacos!“
“I've been worked next door since 2020, three years I see this place getting bigger and bigger, and two new shop opened after it , but this one is always best. today I went there again, and some many people in line , I just want to share this pic. Food is always good!“
“Omg!!Ok so I'm going to start with the positive :I LOOOOVE THE MENUDO! My 10 yr old just recently started eating meat and he loooves menudo, so I heard so many good things about hungrys menudo and it def exceeded our expectations .My son said specifically " omg why is it so good, it's better than any menudo I ever had" sooo cute. The to go menudo was enough for he and I to share at home, thank god. Lol.I love the bones and the fatty parts of the pork also, so did my son.The staff was very nice and helpful, we had a big order and I felt bad my sister was asking them for different things but they serviced us with a smile and it was a nice late lunch date as a family. My Nina is a regular which makes it more comfortable to go and relax, enjoy a meal and watch tv. I love the paintings on the wall too.Guac and fries were yummy. My sister said the Philly cheese steak quesadilla was good. There was a mistake on our order and the owner fixed it with no problem and was very kind, thank you!Least liked- -The Diablo shrimp and Baja shrimp tacos were not my fav... I just didn't like the way the shrimp tasted..- also not a fan of the horchata, I'm not sure how it's made but to compare- my fav horchata is from Alberto's lol if that helps. My sister likes the horchata here though .All in all, I will definitely be going back and ordering menudo ahead of time because they do run out quickly, I'm going to order some to go also . That good!!! I swear .Oooo and just to add extra lol- I literally filled up on chips and salsa and ended up not even eating the tacos I ordered...I also had the fries and guac so.. if you go, try to limit yourself on the bomb ass tortilla chips and salsa, the red salsa is my fav. We're going to go back next Sunday. Here's a pic of the menudo we brought home Thank you guys!! Took off 1 star only cuz the shrimp taco tasted off to me . Just an honest review“
“First time here and we absolutely loved it. The food is very authentic and it feels like I’m at someone’s home eating home cooked food. My 18 month old daughter really liked the quesadilla with birria using a handmade flour tortilla. My husband ordered the torta ahogada and tacos de barbacoa estilo Guadalajara. I ordered two tacos de Carnitas and it was very delicious! The potato filling is soft and plenty. The carnitas are also very flavorful and filling. You can count on us coming back next time we’re in town.“
“It's not affordable but worth the price. The Deluxe combo set is the best option to start. You'll be able to taste almost all the options on the menu. It is enough to fill up a regular person, but it's too good to stop there. The orchata was nice, and the flan desert was amazing, creamy, and sweet enough to cleanse your palate if the taste of the birria plus onions and cilantro bother you after. This was my first time trying this chain and location, and I will say I recommend it, and I'm coming back.“
“I have no idea how this place has 3 stars. If you ain't in to head meat then don't come here and complain that they don't sell what you typically want "chicken asada" or typical asada tacos. The tacos here all super good hands down! I especially love the tacos de lengua and tacos de labio I also order the taco de nervio and mix it in the other meats to give it a bit of a different taste. I usually have some red rice or elbow salad at home to eat it with or on a movie night break out the limón hot cheetohs for that crunchy texture with a Mexican squirt bottle. The ambiance here is dope specially on taco Tuesday the tacos are cheap and it's get really busy as it should. I love the fact that people bring their families and set up their chairs in the parking lot and order tacos after tacos after tacos. It's family friendly. The service is great ladies are always nice and respect you and always make sure you get your food quickly and with the condiments. The tacos are really soft and the meat is just really flavorful and tasty and ugh if your about the head portion of tacos you know these are hands down the spot for them! They are decently priced as I go to other places and nearly $3-4 and can't even enjoy more than 3 tacos from all the grease but here I can have about 10 on a taco Tuesday and they taste CLEAN!! I always recommend this spot to all my friends and family I wish they did catering though that would be awesome!“
“High quality meats. Delicious sauces. Friendly service. Plenty of area to hang out. Of all the taco trucks I've tried in the LA area, this has to be in my top 5. The quality is top-notch. For one thing, the beef tongue was a GIGANTIC portion. A little unreal to be honest.“
