“Extremely delicious. The tator tots were perfect. Crisp on the outside and so soft on the inside!! I was extremely shocked at how good my meal was even when it was a simple dish ! I also got pancakes and they were extremely delicious! I was caught so off guard by this hidden restaurant! The service was great and it was so easy to find !“
“We went to the Purple Room for the first time last night. Great experience! It's a bit hidden and in a weird location but once through the doors, really nice. Entertainment was fun! Great service all night long. The food was average- nothing to get super excited about but also nothing wrong with it...“
“PaulBar is our go to restaurant when we arrive from LA and when we leave to LA! Paul is an amazing host, the food is delicious and the drinks are on point! The restaurant has an east coast pub vibe and the service is excellent. It's definitely our top pick dinner restaurant in the desert area!“
“We had a great meal and enjoyed the beautiful setting. The menu is not fussy, I had an amazing burger and my husband enjoyed the chicken mole. The hummus was great too-though the server forgot to put the order in and it came with our entrees. The staff more than made up for it by comping the hummus and a round of drinks. The garden is beautiful—feels like you dining in Napa rather than Palm Springs. Highly recommend.“
“Took our family member here for her birthday. Tanya, our server, was so welcoming and pleasant. She seemed like she genuinely enjoyed people and her disposition was very authentic and rare among servers. There was also a bus person on staff who was prompt with filling waters, clearing plates, etc. It is clear that this restaurant takes service very seriously. Despite the great service, it never felt stuffy btw.The food was also on par with the service. We had salads (one pear and two beet), the Chilean sea bass, cioppino, crab cakes, and a few dishes for the kids. Everything was fantastic: fresh and well prepared..We had a reservation for outdoor dining which ended up being on a windy evening. The outdoor patio was actually sheltered and heated, so despite being offered to move inside, we enjoyed the outdoor patio. What an amazing restaurant; would definitely recommend!“
“Solid date night location. Was seated outdoors, with heater on, great experience. Ordered the coconut shrimp app, was a little dry, was light on the marinade sauce 6/10. Mahi tacos, good portion, great taste 8/10. Shrimp & crab cajun pasta, flavorful, robust, filling and seasoned well, 8.5/10. Pina colada cake, large portion, overly moist for me, tastes good tho 7/10. Staff was nice, location was clean, would definitely visit again.“
“An exemplar of Fine Dining, WDT is purportedly the last incarnation of an LA restauranteur'd famous Velvet Turtle establishments, with a handful of the dishes his French chef created for them (Wild Mushroom Soup, Dover Sole and heavenly Souffles among them). Two brave souls ordered the Calves (Calf?) Liver and raved about it. The Somellier was excellent, guiding us toward an excellent Pinot and (my favorite) the Super Tuscan. All in all, a great night out and a never-forget imptession for our customers.“
“Excellent evening.... Anthony is a superb server. Only issue: runner brought entrees while appetizer plates were still on table. He expected us to lift and pass the dirty plates. Did not ruin the evening and was fairly minor. I mention it only for future training.“
“Very good-good coffee selections for the coffee snob, yummy eggs Benedict! Plus great vegetarian options (like beet Reuben) and the Brussels sprouts salad! Plus they make their own hot sauce you can buy one to take home!Dietary restrictions: Good options for dairy free“
“I love this place! The atmosphere has a typical diner vibe. I love the vibe. I don’t normally find diners have great food, but this place has AMAZING food and dessert! So the diner vibe with great food is such a gem.Cozy booths, loud atmosphere, busy dinner rush, dishes clanging into bus bins.“
“First time patron. Appetizer selection that compliments all entrees on the menu -- we had calamari steaks strip served with 3 dif dipping sauces Scrumptous! Date Salad was healthy & flavorful. Zia, THANK YOU for the perfect dining experience while we enjoyed a breezy lunch on the patio with some relaxing tunes- see you next time!“
“Wanted to try this place because it was triple D....I got the burger that was featured on the show called the smokey burger and omg it was soooo go the service was great Michael was our waiter and he was very nice and helpful with everything we would definitely got “
“INCREDIBLE sandwiches, had myself a pulled pork sandwich-moist, perfect amount of BBQ sauce. My wife had an omelet....now she is counting the days till she can go back and have another. Came back a few days later for the BBQ Saturdays. It also didn't disappoint. Thanks for the great food!!“
“It was a great experience. The service was good and the food was great and they get extra credit for presentation. The grilled artichoke appetizer was smoky and tasty. My halibut was perfectly cooked and the pineapple salsa well balanced. And plenty of carrots and asparagus too. We also has the Thai Salmon that my husband really enjoyed. Wish I'd had room for dessert. Next time!“
“Was very impressed with First Class Catering. We were a last minute request in to them and they were able to accommodate our group perfectly. Everyone was friendly and professional. Will definitely use them again and the food was delicious. (Mediterranean one night and steak the second night).Thank you Chef Michael and team!“
“The street view of Grill-A-Burger is reasonable. The ambiance when you step into the restaurant is positive in the theming they employ but the tables and chairs are just adequate. The service is helpful, likable and very attentive. The menu has a wide range of burger options and a few non-burger options. They have a large variety of French fry options. We chose the featured Tuscany Burger and sides of onion rings and sweet potato fries. All is well cooked, well plated and delivered quickly.Sadly, the overall flavor of this burger is a miss, which is a disappointment for a featured burger. Their rings and fries were solid hits. I would rate this place higher if I liked my burger more.“
“Escena was a great visit! My wife and I had the opportunity to play a round there. When trying to book the day before using the online system, I had some issues. I called and Deb was able to help so quickly. She was really nice, and made the trip more memorable! The breakfast was great, one of the better breakfast burritos I’ve had. Overall, great experience. I’d come back just cuz of Deb!“
“We stumbled into Karen's Cafe during a recent trip to Palm Desert, and it's a new favorite! All of our breakfast items were amazing, from the biscuits and gravy to pancakes. I have been spoiled and do not want to have pancakes anywhere else ???“
“Not only is the food excellent but the service is excellent! Friendly, efficient; best breakfast in town; coffee is great- but the service was by far above and beyond! There were people waiting outside and a server brought out a variety of juices to enjoy while we had a short wait!!! 5 stars is not enough!!!“
“This was one of the best dinners I have had in many years. I came with my family and we ordered a few pizzas and lamb chops. EveryThing was delicious and I would recommend this restaurant. Also, we ordered a fried banana split and was one of the best desserts I have ever had.“
“Tried a few other breakfast spots but the wait was 45+ minutes. Saw a review on Yelp and decided to come here instead. Its location was more in a commercial area. Large indoor seating and Nice outdoor patio. We were able to get seated and fed in about an hour. Nice to not have to wait long for a good breakfast!! Especially when you have kids. Service was great! Very friendly staff! Made great suggestions. Breakfast burritos were large and steaming hot! We added Chorizo to one of the burritos and it was so good. I would have enjoyed having the potatoes inside my burrito but it was still a wonderful burrito. They were out of Cinnamon Rolls but had the Cinnamon roll french toast. I think this was actually the better option. It had a nice crunch and they even brought out the glaze to put on top. It was a very large portion and delicious. The Monte Cristo had an amazing crunch. Besides Disneyland this was one of the best I have had. My only suggestion would be to add another piece of meat. Otherwise flavor and texture were on point! I gave it a 4 because everything came out super hot and was delicious. The only thing that was not hot but warm was the country potatoes. If they can just make sure those are served hot like everything else I would give a 5! Thank you for the great breakfast and Service!“
“Fresh farm to table fare with attentive service and good ol' fashion classics filling the room (and I mean REAL classics as in Sinatra and Armstrong)! Upon arrival the staff effortlessly brings you their gigantic menu which is ever changing to keep up with the seasonal ingredients. We ordered the duck charcuterie board. The fresh baked bread served alongside is reminiscent of North Italia with a nice crunch and brush of olive oil. The duck prosciutto was cut thick, salami tasty and kumquat Jam preserve just the perfect balance. Other tastings included the grilled dates and flatbread. For our entrees, we ordered the tenderloin (cooked to perfection and seriously melts in your mouth) and lamb shank. Both were served with creamy mash potatoes and grilled veggies for a healthy side. Our waiter Alejandra was lovely(!) and so knowledgeable about the offerings for evening. She truly takes pride in her job. Francisco provided top notch service, keeping our glasses full and quickly whisking away our dirty plates. MVP of the evening was Daniel of course and his sous chef who happily labored the evening away to perfect each and every dish from scratch. How do we know? Because we had front row seats to the open kitchen concept and enjoyed every bit of the food magic that unfolded. Love finding these hidden gems where the people that run it truly love what they do. As other reviewers have said, Daniel's isn't just dinner, it's an experience; so, pull up a chair, bring a good friend, enjoy the music and expect to be here for a while. And yes, it's worth it.“
“The food is delicious here. They have a wide variety of sandwiches on their menu! My favorite is the Sinatra, but I usually build my own sandwich. The ingredients are crisp and fresh! The management and employees are exceptional! Always friendly and they take care of any needs you have in regard to your food! A great place to have lunch, very quiet! The bonus is that they sell a mean Michelada!“
“We went on a very busy Friday night and place was very very nice and Our Male Waiter was so great. The food was fantastic. We sat on the patio with a 3 1/3 year old and new baby boy and was perfect. Short ribs were outstanding. We will return.Dietary restrictions: My Daughter is Gluten Free and was not a issue.“
“Little Bar is a hole-in-the-wall kind of place, that delivers great food and drinks. The owner is a really nice guy and the staff is very friendly as well. My favorite thing to eat there is the cheeseburger with tater tots. Been back a few times, and I plan to do so again soon.“
“JC's Cafe is always the best. Michelle and Casey are GREAT HOSTS! And all the staff is GREAT TOO! I have so many menu favorites ? ?. You will love the ambiance from the beautiful outdoor patio to the inside. Our favorite is sitting at the bar.Dietary restrictions: They are always ready to accommodate special needs.“
“Last day on a business trip and we found this place. Wow! The service is friendly and professional. A sports bar with great service! The lunch was delicious, chicken salad sandwich, Philly cheese steak and a club sandwich. We were all very happy to find a great lunch place last minute.“
“Excellent selection of vegetarian, vegan, or omnivore options. Service was excellent, on the border of too much checking up on us, but that's not their fault, mostly just me being a misanthrope who was tired at the time. I casually said I was underwhelmed by a cocktail and they took it off the bill without my asking (the berry beauty--tasted very weak, like bourbon and ginger ale, nothing like a strong ginger beer, no sign of the mint, and the berries were just a garnish, not flavor-infused in any way).Chile relleno was delicious but could have been served at a hotter temperature.Elote shishito pepper starter dish was excellent.Beet salad was delicious, but for $18 at least give me more greens. I'm happy to pay, I just want to leave with a full stomach. The vegetable paella was delicious and filling, but it tasted more like risotto. Truly an excellent variety of vegetables, but creamy with none of the crispiness I associate with paella.Chocolate cake for dessert was delicious.Live music (not too loud) and just one TV at the bar made for a really nice ambience. It's in a regular shopping plaza with a ton of parking. (I prefer a denser setting in which you might be able to walk somewhere after, but parking lots are the American way, so I can't blame them.)Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. They were up front about asking for any restrictions and were happy to make substitutions.“
“The perfect birthday dinner for my husband. He enjoyed the calamari steak, cooked to perfection. I had the seafood combo over pasta and it was delicious. We loved the “vintage” ambience of the red leather booth decor. We will definitely go back to sample the entire menu. Piano bar music and singer started at 6pm and it was delightful.“
“Amazing experience! We came in with a group of 9 during a busy time. The staff are very welcoming and accommodated us very quickly. The rapid service was very impressive and the food was delicious. A great experience overall. Their pancakes are a must have!“
“Visiting this lovely area, we decided to spend our 48th anniversary dinner at Morton's. Never having been to a Morton's before trying to decide where to go based on reviews and proximity to where we were staying. We landed there. It was fantastic! Because we determined not to roll out of there when it was all said, and done, we started with the scallops wrapped in bacon appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. Husband had the French onion soup, we shared the ribeye and added a loaded baked potato, asparagus, and the creamed spinach. Husband didn't love the cream spinach but the asparagus was absolutely delicious, super tender, and the steak was fantastic! The loaded potato was ginormous, so I'm glad we shared that. Everything from the menu being printed with happy anniversary of the top, to them comping us a dessert everything was a fantastic. Plus the service was fantastic. Oscar spoiled us over and over. Highly recommend!“
“Excellent service food and drinks were delivered promptly. Our server Brandon was very efficient and friendly. After we were finished the manager came to our table to ask us how everything was we really appreciated that a nice touch for sure.“
“California has a million "burger" places, and most of them are average at best. Tony's Burgers is truly a one of a kind, with a humongous menu, featuring hamburgers, chicken burgers, exotic burgers, mini burgers, hot dogs, salads, specialty plates, and a good kid's menu. In addition, there's always a "Daily Specials" board with various food and drink items. It's a staggering selection, so allow yourself some time to peruse the menu. They have a full bar, and my wife swears that their Paloma is one of the best she's ever had! The food has always been served hot, is quite delicious, and reasonably priced. Service is friendly, and there's always plenty of staff around to assist you. Parking is abundant. Tony's is a definite "must visit" if you're craving a really awesome burger!“
“Great spot -- a group of us were there for happy hour. Great location and ambiance. Food was good. We had the stuffed dates, flatbread, charcuterie board and brussel sprouts. All delicious. Service was fabulous when we arrived, but a little spotty as things got busier. It was a nice evening overall.“
“The food was good. A little packed inside, outdoor seating is the way go to, however, keep an eye out for berries or leaves falling off the trees that hang over the dining tables, they might fall into your dinner plate. Wine and drinks are available.“
“Had a couple of beers. The bartender was very nice made me feel very welcomed.Parking: They have plenty of parking and they also have handicapped parking.Kid-friendliness: Super awesome staffWheelchair accessibility: Yes they have easy wheelchair access“
“My first time here this morning- I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! There's seating inside and outside, but I was by myself, so I chose to sit at the counter . It's like a well- oiled machine in there , friendly , efficient and the food is incredible!!“
“Favorite local cafe with Live Bands and dancing under the stars. Eat outside shaded by pergola with views of mountains, greens, palm trees, fire pits - no traffic noise, no parking lots to stare at. Great lunch and happy hour with dinner on the weekend and holidays. Hidden Gem!“
“Everything is always first class!!! The building/ golf course was built for the PGA tournament. Anthony, the general manager is very professional and has an amazing team working with him from chef Torres who is probably the best chef in town to his serving staff. The wine list is extensive and well priced. From the time you drive up to the beautiful building to the time you leave you feel like it is a place you have to go back to.“
“Service here is so friendly, patient and helpful! When you come across a restaurant that's hopping busy you might think you'd be rushed. Not here. They were super efficient and accommodative. Food excellent. Everything came out exactly as ordered, hot and fresh. Very tasty. Nicely seasoned and not greasy. Definitely a go to spot for breakfast!“
“Big sign outside saying how good their hamburgers are. The burgers are good, but be warned that they won't put ketchup on your burger. They want you to taste the flavor of the meat. This is not a 5 star restaurant! It is a clean, small bar and grill that serves what it brags about with friendly service that rates five stars for what it is. Looking forward to another burger!“
“Nice food. Great service by Marisela and team. Arrived here close to 10 PM on a Tuesday and tried the mandarin chicken salad and fries.Food was fresh and well made. Marisela also recommended the Bourbon barrel cake as a local favorite and it was delicious.Definitely recommend this restaurant.“
“So far I can only speak of 2 items off the menu, which is loaded with great items. The Chicken BLTA which was amazing and the classic burger. The burger had a good grilled flavor but nothing else and was much like a frozen pre-formed patty from the grocery store. Bun was too big for the patty and took away from the overall flavor.“
“It was great to make a reservation! We had the Reubeniski, the best. Pickles were really good! As much as I love Sherman's deli, I don't love the wait. We did buy some cookies, rye brea, tuna salad and chicken salad on the way out. Very good.“
“Best food in the palm desert I came here after a camping trip and felt as if I was in a desert oasis. The food was delicious, I licked my plate clean (I got the cheese fries with chili) and the service was excellent! I will definitely come back to this islands whenever I'm in the area again.“
“Sunshine Cafe does bring the Sunshine to its dishes. This lowkey, cozy, and hidden location is a gem in the Cathedral City area. This was my first time at this diner and the food was very memorable. I want to go back for seconds, but the portions they offer won't let you fit it all in. This small quiet family inspired diner has the vibe that makes you feel like you are dining at your grandma's or great aunt's house. There are no frills to distract you from the food. This location appears to be very clean for a so called "hole in the wall" type diner. An A+ for me.The staff is very quiet but very welcoming and inviting. We arrived and all the tables were full but they offered us seating at the counter. The counter is low seating, so no high chairs. As soon as some patrons were done eating, we were able to move our seating to one of their cozy booths. This location is conveniently located right off Hwy 111 on Cathedral Canyon Dr. Parking is very limited but they are next to downtown Cathedral City where a parking structure and street parking are available. Once you park, it's just a brief walk to this diner from the parking structure.Sunshine Cafe makes everything homemade and you can definitely taste it. I had the Chicken Fried Steak with hashbrowns, 2 sunny-side up eggs and the homemade country sausage gravy. This was a great flavorful dish. I was really surprised with the creamy gravy that complimented the chicken fried steak. So Good!!! The hashbrowns were fresh and the eggs were served beautifully. Also, this order comes with a side toast of your choosing. The best part is that they took it upon themselves to butter my toast before it came to the table. I was able to enjoy this meal with their fresh squeezed orange juice. My partner had the Belgian Waffle Combo. This dish comes with 1 large waffle topped with whipped cream, 2 sunny-side up eggs, and 2 large sausages, but bacon is also an option upon request. She was able to have this delicious dish with all you can drink hot coffee. They are very attentive with filling up your mug everytime you reach the bottom of the mug.Overall this is a great location to enjoy a homemade meal when you want to indulge your appetite with lots of love and sunshine. They offer a multitude of other food options, other than breakfast items. As we walked up to the diner, we were hit a with a delicious aroma of charbroiled burgers. I will definitely be back to treat myself to what I assume is a mouth watering burger and my partner, well she can come too.“
“Portions are huge! Came here a few times on our recent stay in the desert and enjoyed breakfest and lunch a few times. Monte Cristo sandwich was the size of the entire Togo box...lol. the brisket french dip was suoer tasty. Don't sleep on the desserts behind the counter, take one to go and enjoy later ?“
“Grapefruit Basil Restaurant is fantastic. It is fun to dine here. The restaurant is nice, the outside seating is comfortable and is a very nice setting. The menu offers great choices for every dining preference. The employees are friendly and helpful. Fernanda was our great server and Brittany is a great manager. We will definitely be regular customers here. The restaurant was very busy for a good reason - it is terrific!“
“I didn't actually go into Dennys, but my car overheated, and I had to park it there overnight. It was fine when I came back. On a side note, I gave it 4 stars, just because I've been a fan of this restaurant since I was a kid and I'm 56 so I don't think that will change in my lifetime.“
