“The Purple Orchid in El Segundo is the ultimate neighborhood tiki escape—and an absolute lifesaver when you're trying to beat the summer temperatures. Gordon and Kristina chose this lovable, slightly divey Polynesian oasis to continue Gordon’s birthday month celebration, and it was the perfect call.
Walking into the dimly lit lounge—complete with glowing pufferfish lamps dangling from the ceiling and heavily thatched decor—feels like stepping into a different time zone. Most importantly right now, they have the absolute best air conditioning in all of El Segundo. When a heat wave hits, there is simply no better place to cool down.
The bar really shines when it comes to keeping you refreshed. Their blended drinks are fantastic—frosty, dangerously potent, and exactly what you want for a birthday toast. Whether you're sipping a slushy tropical concoction, ordering a classic Vic's Grog, or splitting a flaming Scorpion Bowl with friends, the bartenders pour with a heavy hand and a friendly, local attitude.

“It was such a lovely venture out for my Mom’s birthday, on Friday. Alex and Dominique (management) are quite lovely, and helped make our dining experience all the more, a joy! Love the new additions to the menu, particularly the Mini Steak French Dips. The Chicken Parmesan was excellent with the twist of those ‘pepper-like sweet’ tomatoes. If there is ever something you want to bring back to the menu I would highly suggest the sliders, they were missed for sure lol! Looking forward to dining again here, soon. Cheers! ✨💖🥂“

“Food and ambience was great. I would def go back It was a bit louder causing us to use our outdoor voices to have a normal conversation. Our waiter was a bit slow and had to be reminded of our drinks... took us 30 minutes to get our drinks after ordering.“

“I loved the service and the food. The atmosphere is nice too. We were seated near the band as requested by my friends and it was a little hard to hear them speaking. The band was excellent and over all we had a beautiful time. I suggest that if you decide to go there check the online menu first. I had the salmon and it was heavenly along with the chocolate cake and nice and cheesy Au graten potatoes. You absolutely will not be disappointed when you go trust me.“

“Had a private dinner and party here and the best time! The owner and operators were so helpful and pleasant to work with. I couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our special event. Wonderful sound system, lots of space to dance and plenty of space to sit! The bathrooms were clean and the drinks were strong! The outdoor patio with the fire pit table were beautiful and comforting. And the parking was easy and close. All in all excellent!“

“Loved this Loved this lounge! I travel a lot and I frequent airport lounges, this one was one of the best! Small food selection but all fresh and they re-fresh frequently. Great Cali wine selection as well. Very clean. What made the experience was the staff, Chris and Simone were both amazing and all other staff were very attentive and helpful. Highly recommend this lounge when at LAX.“

“Went to Game Sports Bar Restaurant and Lounge on a Friday night, and had a ton of fun. The DJ was great, and the set up was very organized. Drinks were also pretty good from the specialty cocktail menu. My only complaint is that after our table reservation was up, the hostess who was assisting up and had placed my card on file for the table/drinks/food etc. never followed up with me to close it out after our table time was up; I had to seek her out afterwards.“
“I was in the area and wanted to stop by; this was on my list of tryouts and I am glad I did. I love a great cocktail, I strongly enjoyed the Orange Fox. Roman is a great bartender; he has an amazing attitude and makes drinks very well. I will definitely be back because I am a sucker for a great, unique cocktail.“

“Peace To All, YAH1/ YSRAYL1 hope all are well!Straight Forward bar, no draught beers only bottled at least. They have a standard full bar & they are ALL CASH!They do also serve food even green salad, check ahead or search google for the menu.To note, it can be a very tight fit when crowded, so pick your spots.Karaoke ? Thursdays can be quite entertaining & it's the U.S. Karaoke Version 1, which simply requires drink & those who want also sing a favored tune, typically w/o training.Peace To All!“

“Been here many times - food quality has improved sharply lately and is miles ahead of the Star Alliance lounge a level up. Lounge attendants are super nice who helped print my Qantas Boarding Pass. It’s usually not crowded during most of the day (gets crowded late at night). Awesome lounge (again).“
“This is supposed to be members only and an exclusive place for people that live in the neighborhood. Clearly this is not the case. Went on Friday night and there was a lovely guitar player and it was an enjoyable safe crowd. Last night it was overly packed and a very strange crowd. Almost as if all the drug dealers and losers came up from the Bronx to hang out. Definitely did not feel safe and clearly majority of the folks were NOT members. The Members that we were with had been members for 20+ years and agreed they had never seen such a disturbing rough crowd. Hopefully this was just a one off and 900 club becomes a little more strict about who they let in and who they don’t. I live walking distance and it is disturbing that this place is attracting such ghetto people in my neighborhood. Clean it up and respect our community!“
“It’s in the Hampton Inn just south of LAX. As of March 2026 they are open from 4 PM to 11 PM daily. There’s a happy hour from 4 PM to 6 PM which gets you $2 or $3 off food and drinks. It’s on the pricey side, but this is in an airport hotel, and restaurants in airport hotels are normally not cheap.“

“This place is amazing. The vibe, the ambiance, the food! The live jazz, the customer service! Love love loveee! I got the Cajun chicken pasta and I had no clue it’d be as good as it was. I was impressed on all levels. The only thing I’d say is that when the live band is playing it is loud so you can’t converse while they are playing but that it to be expected. Everything was 10/10!!“

“I cannot say enough of the five star service Ernesto provided. We were waiting for the shuttle to take us to the airport. It was 10 mins late, then 15 mins late. I asked the gentleman at the front desk to inquire but he was not helpful at all. Just said he will be there. I expressed my concern that we had an international flight to catch. I was so frustrated by this front desk man's customer service I told my husband we should call an Uber. Meanwhile we already paid for the hotel shuttle. Ernesto overheard my frustration. Called the bus to find out it wouldn't be coming there was an issue. He refunded us for our shuttle we paid for and also paid for our Uber. It was Four Seasons customer service, over and beyond exceeded our expectations! You should be so lucky to have a person like Ernesto. The other gentleman needs to go back to learning customer service skills and hospitality! Go Ernesto!“

“I had a wonderful experience at the Air Canada Lounge at LAX Terminal 6. The atmosphere is very comfortable and relaxing, and it was not crowded during my visit.
I was especially impressed with the food. There was a very nice selection of hot dishes, two excellent soups, plenty of cold dishes, and a good variety of juices and other drinks.
The lounge is clean and pleasant, and the staff are very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. It is a great place to relax and enjoy a good meal before a flight.
One of the best airport lounge experiences I’ve had. Highly recommended!“

“Stayed here for 3 nights and went to this bar twice with my wife. Jay Jay the bartender was fantastic and recommended great food. Menu had a lot of options. Music was actually great for a hotel bar. Best playlist we've heard in a long time.“
