“Ate dine in at this little hole-in-the-wall joint on a recent visit to LA. Close (street) parking was a miracle, but theres also parking (and bathrooms) across the street at the El Super. Portions for a Boil Bag were generous, one corn, potato, rice and a few broccoli were included. All amenities were provided: table paper, bibs, sanitizer, bucket, gloves, scissors for crab legs. Cajun garlic butter seasoning was delicious, not too spicy for the kids. Speaking of kids, seafood boil keep kids remarkably entertained! This place deserves all the good reviews. Our only (small) complaint is the distance to a bathroom, but it's a small price to pay for a delicious meal.“

what takes this place from good to great is the service. the host and servers are attentive without being overbearing and are deeply knowledgeable about all aspects of the raw bar, cooked food, wine, and beverages. i’ve never had an issue with accommodating simple modifications (like removing a pork product).

I was in fact at the restaurant the night one reviewer below (complaining about the service) was there. they were an entitled group of drunk girls asking for difficult requests (trying to split the bill a number of ways). as they were walking out of the restaurant and waiting for the uber, they were extremely loud and rude. I wouldn’t be particularly excited to serve their group either.

“My husband and I googled a boiling crab originally and this place popped up. We were hesitant but the food looked good and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We called to see if there was any wait time. Since there wasn’t we went. From the moment we stepped in the service was AMAZING and food was DELICIOUS! The gumbo, clam, shrimp, crab, and corn! Absolutely everything was great! “Delicious food! We ordered delivery so I can't speak for the service or atmosphere, but the food was great. We got the loaded fries with chicken, shrimp burrito and mahi mahi burrito. Really nice serving size, especially on those fries. Those things are a meal in themselves. Order got to us correct and with napkins and utensils ready for us. “Dynamite fried fish at this little spot, located in a strip mall in Sylmar. I ordered red snapper and catfish, and both items were delicious--well-seasoned, perfectly cooked and served up piping hot. I particularly enjoyed the catfish. Outstanding flavor, very fresh tasting!
