“Party of 6, arrived around maybe 6 PM? Got seated fairly quick. The atmosphere was very welcoming, the staff were very kind and we were welcomed with drink orders almost immediately. The menu shows pricey meals that are actually worth it, only 1 of us usually leaves with a leftover box, we left with 4. The salad / soup and breadsticks definitely play into this though. Speaking of those breadsticks? Our waitress apologized multiple times for them being in the oven but we enjoyed hearing that, fresh breadsticks and amazing salad is nothing to apologize for. I ordered a basic spaghetti and meatballs with an italian sausage included. Much to my surprise, the meatballs and italian sausage were huge! As well as extremely tasty. 10/10 would go again as well as recommend to others.“

If I could give more than five stars, I would! Hummus Republic in Turlock is hands-down one of the best places to eat in town. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and genuine hospitality. The staff is attentive, friendly, and makes sure you feel taken care of throughout your visit.

The food itself is absolutely phenomenal. Fresh, flavorful, and made to order — every bite feels like it was prepared with care. The hummus is creamy and perfectly seasoned, the falafel is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the variety of toppings and sauces lets you customize your bowl or wrap exactly how you like it. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. Everything was vibrant, colorful, and so delicious that I didn’t want the meal to end.

What I especially love is how healthy and satisfying the food is without ever sacrificing flavor. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty protein-packed bowl, a refreshing salad, or something bold and zesty with their sauces, you’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

On top of that, the restaurant is clean and inviting, making it a comfortable spot to dine in or grab food to go. The service was quick, efficient, and delivered with kindness, which really made the whole experience stand out.

I ordered the Mississippi platter and wasn’t disappointed I don’t know who the Cooks are but they deserve a raise . I was helped by a girl named “ Hope “ and her service was excellent . “One of our favorite spots. We have brought several friends and family and boast about the incredible food and service. Only disappointment is the bathrooms. Such a beautiful location with very poor kept bathrooms. Tonight we have a reservation for 2 and got offered high top or the table next to the bathroom when every table but 3 were open. We try to make our date nights special tonight was disappointing with these options. (We reluctantly chose the table next to the bathroom) Our server Priscilla was so sweet she made up for it. But even when we were leaving there were still empty tables. It’s the little things like that, that will make us rethink our choice next time.“

“The Golden China Restaurant has a lot of 5 star reviews so we decided to stop there on our way back from Lake Topaz. We had a mixed experience. The easy part is cleanliness which I rated as 5 star under 'Atmosphere'. Golden China is as clean as restaurant can be. Both bathrooms were operating table spotless on a busy Sunday afternoon.

Our expectations for the food may have been too high from the previous reviews. It's standard Chinese-American food. I am a fan of this style of cuisine, but I am not sure how you make it '5 Star'. I had Seafood Chow Fun. (This was not on their menu, but they were happy to make it when I requested it.) It was good (pictured). I would have liked a few more scallops, but I always want more scallops.

Price for 2 with 1 beer was $45.15 after tax. I would eat at the Golden China again, but I would not drive out of my way to do so.“

“Came here for a nice Sunday lunch. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. The service was friendly and prompt. I highly recommend the chicken wings! In my opinion, the spring rolls tasted a little bit better than the egg rolls. My wife and I got combination plates which includes a cup of soup, which was yummy. The only thing that was a minor annoyance is there was no Chili (red pepper) Sauce. I like to put some in my soup. But when I asked the server for some, he said that they were out of it. The atmosphere was nice, although I would recommend having some soft music playing in the background to add a little more personality to the dining experience.“

“Sonora location. Tried when first opened and few weeks ago. It was clean (new) and great service. Re-visited yesterday and totally the opposite! Counter was dirty, all food was low. It was 4 o’clock and not busy. The cook, other gentleman and waitress was very unprofessional and unsanitary! The cook, yes while wearing gloves, continued to touch dirty services and our food. At one point he had his cell phone in his hand looking at it while cooking our food. Phone back in dirty pocket, touching his hair then back to cooking our food! The conversation between the three of them were load and unprofessional. I was so ready to leave! Definitely won’t be returning anytime soon.“

So of all things, my husband and I came here for our 9th wedding anniversary. Why? Because they offered a nine dollar and 99 cent Burger special. So that was part of our order, we also got some of their mozzarella twists that were delicious by the way. But what made this visit really special was the good atmosphere. It was a little louder, as it's more of a family restaurant. But, let me tell you, Carla was probably the best server we've ever had across all restaurants across all states across all countries any location ever.. she helped us get ordered, she was on top of refills, she made sure that I had fresh coffee, she refilled my husband's drink, was very friendly very efficient and is the best hostess we've ever had. Not only that, the manager, austin, came by to see how we were doing. He was very friendly and we expressed what a good time we had. Now while this might not be a typical anniversary dinner type place, it certainly a place we would come back to because the food was great the service was great and who doesn't love a good deal on dinner? Thank you for the good time and we will be back. Yummmm“
