“This location is the best! The staff is very nice and attentive. My husband and I live in walking distance so we're here once a week. The food is much better here than the location on Alton. The only thing I'd change about this location is the smell of rancid standing water / funky garbage near the bathrooms.“

“The most incredible bar inside a grocery store I have ever been to. This place has a rotating selection of 30 beers and a spacious seating area. The service was great and all the beers were from the area/west coast, I believe. I can't wait to go back and see what they have on tap next time.“

Stopped by FreeSoulCaffe for lunch today, and it instantly earned a spot on my list of favorite vegan restaurants. We tried the Panini Poulet (vegan chickin) and the Atlantic Sandwich (vegan tuna)—both were bursting with flavor and freshness, generously portioned, and deeply satisfying. Served on delicious sourdough bread, the sandwiches had just the right texture and crunch to complement the fillings. Each came with a fresh side salad brushed with just the right amount of white wine vinaigrette, adding a bright, tangy finish that elevated the meal beyond the ordinary.

The restaurant itself was spotless, and the staff were warm and attentive throughout our visit. We chose to sit outside in the peaceful courtyard, which added a lovely touch to the experience. It was clear we weren’t the only ones enjoying it—plenty of other diners were happily soaking in the atmosphere.

“We had a great dining experience at Urban Plates in Long Beach. Mariana explained the menu choices in a very unrushed manner, and we decided on the steak. I ordered the Chimichurri grass-fed steak with balsamic brussel sprouts and herb-roasted potatoes. All of it was delicious ( and healthy too!). The deserts were absolutely killer too. “Another fabulous evening. We went early on New Years Eve. They had just changed the menu for the new year, so we ended up with a bottle of champagne- Pierre Jouet blanc de blanc - - first time for that one and it was great. Their wedge salad is yummy and big enough for 2 to share, with an interesting presentation . Order it and find out for yourself. Husband had the whole branzino, grilled, with beluga lentils and grilled vegetables -another lovely presentation. I had the grilled octopus, served as a warm salad, with a melange of vegetables.: every bite was a bit different. They cut the octopus in bite sized pieces, so no wrestling with it to cut it up. Flavors were interesting - each bite a different combo of ingredients. Dessert was their interesting baklava cheesecake and a combo of ice creams : mexican and one with cardomon flavor - both were worth the calories! Service by Gabriel was top notch and fun. We usually go with 3 to 4 people in our party and often share because that allows us to try more of the menu and we have always enjoyed each and every item we have selected from the menu. Beer selection is great...almost as large as the food menu. I have always had good service at all of the Finney's I have been to for lunch or dinner... Orange, Brea and Camarillo. Great restaurant!! “Wow. Had some truly special food here. The Koobideh was juicy, and almost perfect. It was served with a little spicy aioli that brought the whole dish to another level. The babaghanoush had some lovely balsamic that elevated it elegantly and the Tzatziki had pickles instead of cucumbers and it was the best I’ve tasted. My wife had pita fries and they were genius and delicious. Do not leave without trying the saffron pistachio and/or pomegranate/chocolate ice cream. Service and ambiance were matched to the food, just right.“

“We had a late dinner at the Yard House after a Christmas lights cruise in the bay on a Monday in December. The Yard House serves dinner later. We had a an appetizer of queso with meat. It was outstanding. I had Maui Chicken and my wife had a Chicken dish ,also. Both were large portions and fantastic. When we are in the area we will definitely go back!“

“We had high hopes coming to Olea, but alas we were disappointed. Location/Ambiance: Westcliff Plaza and small with a large bar at the front, the layout leaves little space for tables. We sat in a snug booth alongside the windows with a view of Susie Cakes next door. The decor is warm and modern. Food: Subpar! Burnt bread but delicious whipped butter. Butter lettuce and Goat cheese salad was bland with a basic dressing. Mac and cheese skillet was good but nothing amazing. Filet was dry with overdone gluey mashed potatoes, and underdone broccolini. Halibut was pan seared to a dry mess with an inedible coating, bland steamed seasonal vegetables of cauliflower, carrots, and broccoli as a side. Service: Friendly and Fake, if you enjoy watching servers walk away from your table talking about how "picky and difficult you are" this is a perfect spot. My Mother has dietary restrictions and we are specific to ensure a safe dining experience, it's sad when that's met with disdain. Overall: We won't be back!“

“The Duck Confit Spliff is a great representation of the Vietnamese & French cultures “wrapped” up all in one dish. And for a more traditional & fun way to eat it, you definitely have to use your hands. My only wish was for a little more duck in the spliff.

With the Ebelskivers, the concept was again brilliant. The garlic emulsion creates an intense garlic flavor but in a light and airy way. But like takoyaki, I wish there was more escargot in the batter to remind me more of that chewy feel from the traditional dish.

The surprise star of our meal was the Royale with Cheese. The wagyu had great flavor and char. And the sesame seed bun held up well for this napkin-required burger. But those pickles were amazing nuggets of necessity to add balancing acidity to the richness of the dish.

We definitely want to try the Duck Breast, the Spanish Octopus, and the Prix Fixe Meal on future visits. A final thanks to Chef & Curtis for the friendly service and explanation of the menu.“
