“Michelin-Level Experience at Outback Prices The Wild Artichoke in Yorba Linda is a hidden gem. I was expecting something entirely different — and was pleasantly surprised in the best possible way. We started with the smashed potatoes and endive salad, which made for perfect appetizers: light enough not to spoil our appetite, yet full of flavor to whet it. The portions were ideal for sharing with my wife. For our main courses, we ordered from the lunch menu. I had the Wagyu burger, and my wife went with the tempura fish and chips. I’m not sure how they did it, but every bite was incredibly well-balanced. The fish had a crispy exterior, just the right touch of Maldon salt, and a beautifully firm, flaky interior. The tartar sauce was exceptional — rich, creamy, and unlike any I’ve had before. The burger was a standout. Each ingredient was distinct and purposeful — no unnecessary fillers. Every component worked in harmony to deliver deep, layered flavors in every bite. We ended the meal with the Basque cheesecake, which was beautifully presented. It wasn’t overly sweet, and the perfectly burnt top paired wonderfully with the sweet berry compote. A special treat was getting to meet the head chef. What a pleasant surprise. He shared the story behind one of his dishes and mentioned that every item on the menu has its own story and purpose. That passion really comes through in the food. I’ve dined at many fine restaurants, and I can confidently say the quality here rivals places charging $150–$200 per plate. The value is extraordinary for the caliber of cuisine offered. This is a truly special hidden gem — perfect for a relaxed lunch with friends or an intimate dinner date. I can’t wait to try the rest of their menu!“

“I absolutely love this restaurant! As a celiac I have very limited options on places that I can safely eat at and I feel extremely fortunate that this is one of them. The food is exceptional and being all gluten free I can enjoy a variety of amazing dishes here. The service is also wonderful with attentive waiters who are full of life. The atmosphere pulls all of what I previously stated together with live music and visually spectacular place to dine“

“Parking at a nearby structure with first 3 hours free. Short walk, 5 min wait for a table and excellent options for food and beverage. The service was a little slow but it was a crowded Sat night over Memorial Day weekend. Would definitely enjoy a meal here again.“

“We came around 7pm and the entire restaurant was PACKED. We were able to walk in with a group of 4 and we were seated right away (shockingly). Philip was our server and he was so great. Although he had many tables and a restaurant full of people, he never allowed it to affect his professionalism or quality of service. Our appetizers were brought out as quickly as the order was placed and our drinks were brought shortly after our waters. Without asking, Philip refilled our waters as needed and checked in with us multiple times throughout meal. I watched him interact with other tables and he was amazing. He gave each person his undivided attention and patience. Thank you so much for the best service we’ve ever received at this location (and we’re locals, we come all the time). Had to split the medium rare 16 oz cuz they’re so fricking generous on the 2 sides! I chose steam veggies (nothing exciting) and the clam chowder (unfortunately, its a meh). First time to enjoy a steak while watching a dodgers and stanley cup game. And the atmosphere is different yet enjoyable. I’d definitely be back. Probably going to try their prime ribs…“

“I couldn’t wait to share our experience at Benchmark restaurant in Santa Ana California. Everything about this place is perfection! It was a hot day, but the beautiful outdoor dining area was cool and breezy underneath the beautiful trees. Our waitress was knowledgeable, wonderfully friendly, and attended to all our needs. Each of us ordered a different item on the menu and I had to taste everything. I had the Spanish omelette, which was delicious, the burger seems like a very popular item understandably because that along with the delicious fries was exceptional. Enchiladas with mole were a wonderful treat, and the French toast was probably the hit of the table. This wonderful brunch dish was not exceptionally sweet, which made it so perfect. Some places just overdo it with the sweetness. We will definitely be going back many times to tryout dinners and more of the selections on all of the menus. I will also be spreading the word because this is probably my favorite place in Orange County now. Thank you Benchmark for a fantastic experience!“

Now, mind you, this was on a Monday morning at 9:30am when most people are working; however, people should realize that weekends are much busier times for dining and plan accordingly! The atmosphere was awesome, warm and welcoming. We were attended to by no less than 4 different people making sure we were cared for; the food was very fresh (they have vegan options too) and the coffee was yum.
